eero Pro – Advanced Pro-Grade Tri-Band Mesh WiFi System to Replace Traditional Routers and WiFi Range Extenders – Single eero Pro for homes and apartments

eero Pro – Advanced Pro-Grade Tri-Band Mesh WiFi System to Replace Traditional Routers and WiFi Range Extenders – Single eero Pro for homes and apartments

I have a lot of experience with technology, and have used multiple routers and access points. My previous configuration was using a Unifi pro access point, which was reliable, but did not allow for seamless roaming, there was no app, and the Java configuration was complex and required booting up to the PC to modify. Also, 2.4 and 5GHz bands had different names, so the devices could not latch on to the best one. My house is wired for ethernet. What I liked about the Unifi AP was the speed and reliability. I only had to reboot my old router every ~5 months.

As our house is ~4000 square foot, I wanted to get a mesh system, that supported Ethernet based roaming. Based on all the reviews, I got the Eero (and purchased an additional base module, all connected through Ethernet). The solution has been EXTREMELY GOOD. I don't need a separate router, the speed is 3x what the Unifi AP was giving (now I can use the full 300MB from my internet connection, even in wireless), the roaming is amazing as the devices get the best signal (2.4 or 5) with the same network name, the app is extremely well done (very complete, a pleasure to use, with lots of options like hardcoding IP address for a device, set up a guest network, or even quickly blocking access to my daughter devices when needed), and I have only had to reboot it once (I've had the device for 6 weeks).

So better coverage, faster, easier to use.

The only two asks I would have is:
- to include more analytics in the app. It is not possible to view data usage over time for any device (the app only shows current usage in MB/sec)
- to be able to limit bandwidth for some devices (or for the guest network)

As a curious side effect of using Eero, I realized that I could get full bandwidth (300 MB/Sec) when using any wifi device (which connects directly to the main Eero device), but I was getting 100MB/Sec when using a wire! So this helped me realize that in part of the network I was using Cat5 cable. I replaced these with 5e or 6, and now also the devices connected through cable (Xbox, PC, etc.) get the full 300MB/sec.

Where do I start....Began with an ASUS router that was a few years old and wanted to step into the mesh network era. Tried the Google Wi-Fi router and wound up being more trouble than it was worth. Way too restrictive with the administration of the router, i.e. Google has documented issues with port forwarding. That alone became a deal breaker as I forward security cameras, doorbells, etc. ports. $100 in the trash as I can't return it because it's past the return time frame. The eero is really amazing. Coverage is great, solid admin control of the router's features, and very user-friendly. The setup/management is all app based and there is no web-based option. In the end, its a real plug and play device. Don't overlook this gem as you will no doubt be satisfied. The only drawback was the price. But in the end, you're paying for reliability and consistent router operation. I also wanted to mention customer support. I had to contact them about the router because it did not want to update to the latest firmware. Day 1, contacted support via email. Day 2, support responded and I was asked to give some information on how I was using the router (which wires were connected to the router and what internet service provider and modem model number I was using). Day 3, customer support responds and indicates that there were documented issues with the modem model I had at home from my internet provider (Spectrum). Day 4, went to Spectrum and they replaced my old modem with a newer model. I went home and plugged everything up. Went through the router app setup again and BAM! everything worked and the modem was able to update itself to the latest firmware. Emailed customer support with my results and 10 minutes later they acknowledge my email. Good to know that there are companies that still provide this level of customer support. P.S they also offer phone and chat support. Very refershing!
1/31/19, update. Router is still working as expected. Still satisfied with my decision to buy it.

Absolutely love the Eero system with one exception. My home network is a bit complex. I really need a Wifi system that will support more than one SSID and VLAN,s on the network. The Eero only supports one SSID and one network. Most other systems in this class support the features that are missing here. There are several feature requests listed on the company forum for this feature, and the current status is "under consideration". Other than my concern I can say the system is rock solid and works as advertised. I have a total of 4 units, and the system blankets our large multi story home perfectly. I would rate it 5 stars if it included the multiple SSID VLAN feature.

The whole eero system is quick and simple to set up and get working in minutes with no IT knowledge required. However you still only get about 30% of your incoming speed. I have errors in every room so my network is quite saturated. But even though I get 400 mbps download speed into my main eero base station (as measured by eero), over wireless I get only about 120mbps speed even with near 100% signal strength from the eero. App is easy to use and shows the whole system, plus lets you turn off individual devices from Wi-Fi access such as if you want to give one of your kids an electronic time out.

We have about 4K SF in our home, and were struggling finding a router to work with no dead spots. This was our answer! Awesome product, amazingly fast speeds, and phenomenal interface for setup. We had one small glitch getting them to play with Charter/Spectrum (no surprise there) but their customer service was phenomenal and solved it in minutes over the phone! Best part is if, after you install the first one(s), you find you need to add more, that is a piece of cake to do!

Only small thing is the price. Definitely worth it for the quality, but not cheap by any means. Especially in our case where we needed up needing 4 of them to help cover the area outside by our pool.

Description

The Gateway of an eero system, eero Pro (2nd generation) has two auto-detecting Ethernet ports that allow you to connect to your modem and any other device — like an Ethernet switch, printer, or another eero. With the addition of a second 5GHz radio, eero has tri-band power, which lets you do more, simultaneously, in every room of your home. eero's can either be the Gateway or add 1,500 sq. ft. of coverage to any eero system. eero is WiFi you never have to think about again.

All of mine work great. House is hardwired for 5 locations. Although my old house was not and they were working just as well
Better coverage now though. Works very well with a lot of 2.4ghz smart equipment as it detects by itself if it should be 2.4 or 5 ghz. Worth the money to remove dead spots. Everything from my driveway, garage and pool are all covered in a spread out 3,400 sq.ft. house.

This was the fourth EERO router I have purchased, to complement the other three I already had. I am not sure if I really needed a fourth but I got it anyway to make sure my entire house was covered. EERO replaced my previous router, an Apple Time Capsule. This was actually a great product, with a single router covering most of my house. However Apple no longer makes this device and I preferred a new system to trying to rig up extenders for the Time Capsule, which is about 7 years old. EERO is extremely easy to set up. It provides excellent coverage throughout my house without any dropped signals or buffering, and at the speed advertised by my internet provider. Your internet provider will never provide a router that is even close to EERO. EERO phone support is also excellent.

Eero is the best mesh network you can buy. They have an Apple-like app that serves as a beautiful control app. They update the network capability regularly. The eero device is pleasing to the eye and is attractive even.

AWESOME price on a great open-box mesh router. The best part about Eero is how easily they join the existing mesh network.

Took a chance buying used. Works great! This unit brought me up to 3 Eero’s. Love them!

Bonsaii 10-Sheets Cross-Cut Paper and Credit Card Shredder with 5.5 Gallons Wastebasket Capacity and Transparent Window, Black (C209-D)

Bonsaii 10-Sheets Cross-Cut Paper and Credit Card Shredder with 5.5 Gallons Wastebasket Capacity and Transparent Window, Black (C209-D)

I shredded a large volume of junk mail and files that had been piling up, and the machine didn't overheat once. I figured I would not be able to use it for very long before letting it cool, but I used it on and off for about 20 minutes with not a single issue. It's a great machine! I would highly recommend!

Purchased this shredder to replace my last shredder which provided seven years of service. Threw the kitchen sink at it, and it gobbled up everything I put into it. Quieter than my last shredder and very efficient. Ordered lubricating sheets to extend the the life of the shredder motor. Hopefully, I can get a machine that can provide years of service. The Bonsaii 10 sheet shredder is made well and the lift up handle and window are great features. Five stars*****

Nice and compact. Just keep the sheets down to 4 at a time or it seems strained.

Good product for the price. Does it’s job shredding paper and has a nice safety mechanism that prevents its use when overfilled or not placed

We have a Bonsaii shedder which is a workhorse. The shredder lubricant makes it run like new.

Overall seems to pretty good but doesn't seem like it will take 6 sheets but it gets the job done

I had purchased an Aurora AU800SD Professional Strip Cut Paper Shredder for my business office. The cleaning people must have used it for a stepstool. It only lasted two days. I had previously purchased a Bonsaii EverShred C149-D for my home office. It's a real winner so I bought another Bonsaii. It works well and survived it's first month of hazardous duty. Not only is a cross-cut type shredder more secure than the strip-cut type but the shredded paper takes up maybe one fifth the space. The only down to this shredder is that it is just as noisy as the Aurora. The Bonsaii C149-D is much quieter.

Works great and easy to assemble. I was shredding in minutes.

I like how quiet this shredder is. Using it to shred personal papers. Works great. Don't like the slide-out drawer as it makes it hard to put in a small trash bag for collecting shredded waste.

This is not a large shredder. You can't put a lot through it at once but you will still get the job done. My bigger complaint was how often I had to empty it, but again small shredder!

Hard Travel Case for Brother Mobile Color Page Scanner DS-720D by co2CREA

Hard Travel Case for Brother Mobile Color Page Scanner DS-720D by co2CREA

This case is a must have if you own and travel with your DS-720S scanner. It's well constructed, has double zippers and a neet carrying strap. I'm so glad I found it here.

Well I can't give a bad review on this or give seller a bad rating. The case was well made and seemed very durable. It just fit my scanner, had to return it. I bought it under Amazon recommendations and didnt pay attention to model it was intended for

This thing is great. It's sturdy enough to pack or store it wherever you need and not worry that the scanner will get damaged.

This is a great quality case. It is perfect for the DSmobile 720D scanner. Unfortunately, the scanner is worthless.

Fits the DS720 perfectly. And it even has room for the cable.

PRUNUS DE333 AM/FM Radio Portable Mini Pocket FM/AM Compact Transistor Radio [Close to Credit Card Size], Excellent Reception, Tuning Knob with Signal Indicator. Supports Replaceable Battery (AAA)

PRUNUS DE333 AM/FM Radio Portable Mini Pocket FM/AM Compact Transistor Radio [Close to Credit Card Size], Excellent Reception, Tuning Knob with Signal Indicator. Supports Replaceable Battery (AAA)

* SPECIAL NOTE: The product was freely provided by the vendor for testing and evaluation purposes.
.
.
I was a teenager in the 1960s. Everyone owned a transistor pocket-sized AM radio and rocked to KJR's Pat O'Day in Seattle, Washington. This was our "must have" mobile device - the Post-war Baby Boomers' equivalent to this generation's "I-Phone" and smart phone. My review compares this product to the numerous that I owned during my teenage years.
.

.
ADVANTAGES
.
1. PHYSICAL FEATURES: The unit is small and very light. There are only three simple controls: volume, station tuning, and AM/FM/Power ON-OFF switch.
.
2. VERSATILITY: FM stations are received as well as AM.
.
3. MUSICAL QUALITY: The speaker is surprisingly good. The music is clear, and the volume is loud.
.
.
DISADVANTAGES
.
1. RANGE: The operational radius is short. I can only receive Seattle stations inside my over-insulated house. These include 15 FM and 11 AM.
.
Suburban and neighboring city radio stations were weak. The quality of their transmissions were garbled and distorted.
.
2. No head phones were provided.
.
.
Comparing this product to the transistor radios of the 1960s, the DEGEN FM/AM 2 BAND RADIO is significantly superior in every attribute: size, weight, sound quality, versatility, and simplicity. Both were equal in reception distance.

Amazing little radio which is a real performer for it's size. The reception is really good and not bad sounding either.
This seems to be close to the famous Kaito KA 200. UPDATE I found the little radio to be amazing, it's reception is really dumbfounding, it pulls in signals from hundreds miles away after dark. This is a great deal, don't miss it. You will never find another radio at this price with this level of performance.

Awesome little radio! I was thinking what can you possibly get for $10.00, took a chance based on other reviews. This gets better reception than radios costing 2-3Xs the price of this one. Sound is good! Gets all the local stations, cool 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

What a cute little radio, said my wife.
Don't let it's diminutive size fool you. It acts like one of the big guys. Reception is very good, as is sound and volume. And - -- - it stands on its own!
Make a great gift and easily recommended.

Great little radio! This little thing packs a punch, which surprised me because of the price. I use it for work since we're not allowed to use our phones. It sounds great and can be really loud. Signal is great. Very happy with my little radio.

I have 4 different small AM/FM portable radios. This is the best of the lot. It pulls in local and distant stations much more clearly than the other three. It is smaller than a pack of cigarettes. The mode switch (AM/FM) is not easily moved unintentionally. It puts out phenomenal sound for it's size. The design is superior. Well worth the price. Works great with or without headphones / earbuds. Holds stations very well when I am out gardening or walking the dogs.

The radio in my car went out and I hate to drive without music, so purchased this radio to use until I have repairs made. I have been pleasantly surprised, since the reception and sound is excellent. Only problem I had, is because the radio is so small, I have to put my glasses on to set the station before I set out, but other than that the radio was a very good choice.

This is a handy compact radio. It seems well made. The case is sleek with rounded corners to slip easily into a shirt pocket. It is smaller than a deck of playing cards. I carry it in the yard so I don't miss the news on NPR if I get busy and forget to go back in the house at six PM. The sound from the built-in speaker is better than I expected, but this is still basically a little radio, not a HI-FI set. Tuning is tricky as the stations are real close on the scale, but I solved that by listening to another radio as I sought out the NPR station on this one. I only need that one FM station. I am about 25 miles from our local radio towers and reception is fine even indoors. Frankly, the price is cheap for the value I believe I received. Shipment was within a couple of days.

This radio uses batteries faster than the similar Kato. I have to turn the volume control all the way up to get decent sound. When I turn it on I find that the frequency has changed and I have to retune. Not a bad radio, just not really good. I bought it because the slide switch on the Kato jammed and eventually broke.

May 9, 2019. After my review Prunus Degen emailed my an offer to return the radio. I didn't, because the radio is inexpensive and I didn't want to bother returning. Within a few days Prunus Degen said they were voluntarily sending another radio. This one has been trouble free. Battery life is excellent and frequency drift does not occur. I'm changing my review to 5 stars and adding another 5 stars to Prunus Degen for their outstanding service and attention.

What a great buy for such a small price and such a powerful little radio!
I was concerned about the clarity of reception as I live surrounded by tall trees; however, this little radio's sound is amazing. I bought this for an emergency earthquake kit; however, I will be using this way more frequently due to the quality of the sound on both AM and FM. Very pleased! Highly recommend.

OMOTON Kindle Paperwhite Case Cover - The Thinnest Lightest PU Leather Smart Cover Kindle Paperwhite fits All Paperwhite Generations Prior to 2018 (Will not fit All New Paperwhite 10th Gen),Navy Blue

OMOTON Kindle Paperwhite Case Cover - The Thinnest Lightest PU Leather Smart Cover Kindle Paperwhite fits All Paperwhite Generations Prior to 2018 (Will not fit All New Paperwhite 10th Gen),Navy Blue

I ordered this case with a lot of concerns. I wanted something light to make one handed reading comfortable. I wanted it to be thing so that it wouldn't bulk up my device in my hand/pocket. I also wanted something that would protect the screen if my paperwhite was stored in a pocket or a bag.

I probably changed the cases in my cart twenty times before taking a deep breath and submitting my order for this case. I kept wondering if a sleeve would be better to keep the device light for one handed reading and worried that the case would bulk it up and make it no better to hold than my android tablet (uncomfortable to grip and too heavy for reading).

All of that aside, this case exceeds all of my greatest hopes for a case. It fit PERFECTLY on my paperwhite and once I snapped it in it wasn't going anywhere. The case is incredibly light and honestly I can't tell much difference between the weight of the kindle with and without the case. This case also happens to be extremely thin. To grip it is an easy grip and thus far (2 days in) has no scratches or finger print issues whatsoever. I believe this case is the best deal out there, I shopped around a lot and this one was a tremendous bargain. Forty bucks for the official kindle case made by amazon is crazy! This case has the magnet for auto shutoff when closed just like the amazon one for a fraction the price.

I have had no issues with this scratching my kindle as another reviewer noted and the delivery by Dealbarn was quick and nicely packaged. They were friendly and sent a thank you email offering to assist with any issues and I have none thus far.

Pros:
-Very light, harldy noticeable
-doesn't look cheap at all, but a very good deal
-nice and thin
-simple and elegant design
-auto off when closed works great

Cons:
-nothing so far

In closeing this case is worth every dollar and you will be suprised by the qualtiy you get for such a good deal.

Edit: a year in and I have been thrilled with this case. I bought it for a Christmas present and have recommended it to many friend who have been pleased with it as well. And it saved my precious paperwhite's life! I have dropped it on concrete twice and the case protected it from breaking, I know this case is NOT designed for this sort of impact, but it protected it nonetheless.

A really nice case for a really nice price! I have had the case for about 3 weeks and am a daily reader, so here is my take thus far.

The Color: I got the blue cover and it is true to the color shown in both the customer review pics and model pics (dusty blue-ish). I normally get a black or brown case for my electronics but I decided to do something different with mine, as seen in the attached picture.

The "Feels": The case feels a little flimsy when empty but once my Kindle was placed inside, it felt quite sturdy and the magnet holds very well despite flopping around in my crowded purse. I compared it with a friend's 1-year old official leather Amazon case and the Omoton was considerably lighter but still with an overall sturdy structure. I have not yet dropped my Kindle from a height so I cannot advise on its performance when dropped, but it will definitely protect against the daily dings and whoopsies of clumsy readers such as me.

The binding (the area of the cover that bends) is soft enough to swing all the way back and although you can see creases from the material slightly bunching, it springs back into smoothness when you close the cover. So far as I can tell, it does not feel flimsy.

Side fact: I'm one of those people who read in bed and drop the book on their face, and the outer material of the Omoton has a softer feel so it did not abrade my nose when I dropped it. It is not soft and squishy, but it is pleasant to the touch and not like a block of concrete. The fake leather, though textured, does work well with double-sided tape if any of you were thinking to customize by adding a photo on top.

The inside of the front cover is microfiber-soft and pleasant to the touch, which provides a nice grip-area when holding your Kindle. I have not tried to remove my Kindle from the case yet but it was fairly easy to snap in, and the fit is snug enough that when I did a test "jiggle" the device stayed firmly in place.

FORMER REVIEW:

I like this case pretty well as a case, but much to my surprise, after owning it for about two months, a small piece of black plastic broke off of the tab on the side, leaving the magnet partially exposed, and a sharp plastic edge. I super-glued it back on, but it's not the same. I never dropped it or anything; it's clear that the plastic molding just has a weak spot there that is likely to cause problems if it's ever stressed.

UPDATE: Omoton saw this review (in which I gave the product 2 stars) and offered to send me a new one. I wish I had been able to contact them directly but didn't see a way to do that through Amazon. In any case, the replacement arrived quickly, and I'm glad to go back to having a nice Kindle case rather than my jury-rigged fix. I'm sticking with 4 stars for now because I don't yet feel confident that this will last for the lifetime of my Kindle, but if I never update this review again that either means that this version didn't fail, or that I met an unexpected demise.

I love how lightweight this cover is. Protects the kindle and the light color of the "Rose Red" map makes it easy to find in my purse. The texturing is really nice and non-slip.

I often read in bed, lying on my side. This cover can be easily propped up like a tent, hands-free, easy to see.

I notice that the portion of the old world map image used for the cover design has changed/shifted slightly, but when I bought it, the EXACT graphics shown by amazon in the illustrative photo at the time. In other words, what you see is what you will get. Right now the back cover of the Rose Red map seems to show Africa, the front cover shows the Indian Ocean, all of which is pretty cool.

This case has excellent features, but I've encountered problems which I've endured for some time. Now it's reached the dislike point. Each corner of the OMOTON case has cracked and broken off, and recently the on-off capability has stopped working properly. The case still holds the Kindle snugly, but it's sharp on the edges where the case has broken. The on-off capability has been perfect, but now it only functions occasionally, and this could be due to some misalignment from the broken case corners. I haven't abused the case. It has had about three to five drops from bed height to a heavily carpeted floor which caused no damage to the Kindle. The cracks occurred at times which were not the same as the drops, so it seems to be a defective material. I purchased it in the summer of 2014 from Amazon, and the cracks began about a year later.

UPDATE: I should have tried harder to learn how to contact OMOTON directly, especially since other reviewers noted that they are responsive to their customers. I did search further after posting the poor review of the Paperwhite Case Cover, found how to reach them directly, and wrote to them directly. I explained that I haven't left a one-star rating before on Amazon for any vendor, had not remembered that OMOTON provides a lifetime warranty, and read in another user's review that OMOTON obtained some defective cases in the summer of 2014 which had this corner breakage problem.

I did hear directly and expeditiously from OMOTON, they apologized for my inconvenience, and they were courteous and helpful in every way. They promised to send me a replacement case at no cost, and I find that it's now on the way from Amazon. I am VERY pleased with OMOTON and their actions! I wish to add that this case was excellent in every way before the corners began cracking and breaking, and I did not want to have to search for another case which might not be as good as their case. KUDOs OMOTON!

Fits my paperwhite perfectly. Not too tight...just perfect! The auto on/off works perfectly. Slim nice looking and protective. Nice texture makes this reasonably priced case look higher end I ordered purple and it looks like the same shade of purple that the picture depicts. Will definitely order this brand again!

The cover was too small for my 2014 Kindle Paperwhite. Several of us tried but the Kindle will not pop into the case. If you have the basic Kindle 90C6 do not buy this. I purchased the brown map cover. Will be returning this and purchasing from another.

Update: The company contacted me about the issue & it turns out that there is another cover that fits my device, so be very careful what you order. There are so many different types of kindles out there & what you think is your type may not be. They sent me a free replacement cover. It is product ASIN:B00MNGL3Z0. It fits my kindle perfectly, is very lightweight, but offers plenty of protection for the kindle without being bulky. It is built very similar to this case. I wanted something that would easily fit in my purse. Thank you Omoton for a great product and terrific customer support. I will definitely be purchasing from this seller again. Never had so good customer service.

4 stars is as high as I normally give. I save 5 stars for products that radically change my life, or which fundamentally change my view of the Universe. This is a solid 4 stars in my eyes since it does neither of those things!

Construction quality seems high, and the size and weight is remarkably small. My Paperwhite doesn't seem significantly heavier or more difficult to lug around with it on, and neither the sleep button or the charging/access port are blocked by the case. Don't let the "PU Leather designation fool you, this is a plastic case of some sort. it's high grade, confidence building plastic, but still plastic. I seriously considered taking away a star for that 'Corinthian Leather' moment the copywriter had when he/she wrote the descriptive copy. But then figured, 'no', most consumers are fully aware that marketing hype is not to be believed. So I've let it slide, some battles are lost before you join them.

I got the brown color the color as displayed in the photos is reasonably accurate. It is a pleasant light brown, that isn't too orange, too red, or too yellow.

The PW is difficult to remove as written in other comments, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out a situation where I would want to remove the PW from the case so long as the case is still functional.

I love the feel of the Kindle by itself actually. But I felt it needed a cover to protect the screen from dust when I'm not using it, and when I'm carrying it out, say, in my purse. I think really leather would wear better; especially in the crease, but I couldn't see spending basically half of the price of the Kindle for a case. I'm pretty gentle on things so took a chance on this, which was really a lot lower price than the leather ones. Now, if I end up buying a new one three times, I'll regret not having got the leather one I guess. But now that I have this, it seems more than adequate. It's very pretty, too. And in regard to the non-leather choices, this one is definitely a good buy. It's extremely light and didn't add much weight.

Best value for a Kindle cover for my Kindle Paperwhite bought new this year. You know, the Kindle with no buttons except the power button. This case has a compact rigid screen cover made of a synthetic material--not as bulky as a leather case. The cover flips shut over the screen and stays shut with a magnetic closure. The power button is not necessary to wake up the device when the cover is opened. I just have to swipe the screen to see my content. When reading, I can flip the cover around to the back and hold onto its non-slip surface.

I saw one of these on the airplane to Scotland this spring. But I could only see the reflection of the name in the window. So, the name was a mirror image. However, I remembered that it had some O's and an M. So, when I got a Kindle for my birthday, I went shopping for the cover (not paying $40 for the branded ones). This was a bargain. It is lightweight, rigid, and protective of the screen as well as making the device drop resistant.

ECHOGEAR Full Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount Bracket for 42"-80" TVs - Easy to Install On 16", 18" or 24" Studs & Features Smooth Articulation, Swivel, Tilt - EGLF2

ECHOGEAR Full Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount Bracket for 42

I don't wanna be *that guy* that breaks the five-star review streak that this great product has thus far, but I do want to offer a word of warning: if you have an expensive and ultra-thin 65" OLED from a company with a G and an L in the name, be super-uber-certain that the tilt adjustment thingie on this mount (pictured) is VERY well torqued. If it's not, the TV could drop down full-tilt while you're enjoying a bowl of ice cream on the couch, thereby cracking the screen and resulting in a $3k paperweight (after just one week of ownership, I might add).

Unfortunately, nobody will replace our brand new TV because we didn't lie and tell them it was cracked when we received it—a "suggestion" from an employee at the store where we purchased the TV before he sent us up to the customer service counter. What an expensive mistake/lesson this has all been. And one that divorces are made of (OK, not really but it wasn't pretty around our house for several hours after "the incident"). Frick!

We are keeping the mount because it's very solid (unlike the TV), not to mention it's screwed into some farmhouseyish shiplap that would be expensive to replace.

Just know that the tilt adjuster and the hex key leveling screws on this mount need to be tight as all get out or it could break your stuff. Sigh.

This is a well made product that functions perfectly -- nothing like being able to get behind the tv to manage all these hdmi and other cables and wires. One thought on installation -- what I forgot to consider was that when the tv folds back against the wall it moves to the left -- so when you are placing the bracket its not about centering the bracket but taking into account the retracted position... ALSO, there is no way one person can even attach the bracket to the wall alone -- it is very well made --> i.e. heavy -- have someone help you and its a snap to get the bracket to the wall the to attach the tv.
I totally recommend this product

Absolutely LOVE this mount. Great quality and it was easy to install. The company rocks and even makes the instructions enjoyable to read. The mount is very easy to adjust and swivel. Holds my 75 inch Sony with ease, even fully extended.

Heavy and very well made. It is holding my Samsung UN82MU8000 82" Smart LED 4K Ultra HD TV with HDR. Pulls out, swivels and tilts with ease, tilt will need to be loosened and tightened when preformed. Rock solid product that deserves 5 stars.

JUST GO AHEAD AND PURCHASE THIS!
Seriously. Don't second guess it.

We purchased this to hold up a 75 inch Sony Bravia..we are very satisfied with our purchase.

**PROS**
Instructions FUN TO READ, EASY to understand
Parts packaged and labeled in a very organized way
Great quality, feels extremely well made
Television able to move all over and tilt

**CONS**
Heavy wall mount, need help to mount it (seriously though..that's not that bad)
The movement for the tv is a little hard, but for the amount of movement for a 75in tv, EXTREMELY impressed

It's odd to be super excited about a wall mount, but my boyfriend and I were so impressed we wanted to leave an excellent review for this product. I promise you won't be disappointed buying this. We got it for the humor in the product description and reviews we saw, and are very thankful we went through with this mount.

Description

Wall mounting is the best way to get the most from your new large TV. Not only will it keep your investment safe, but will drastically enhance your viewing experience. You'd swear Charlie Sheen came over with all the winning you'll be doing once that 4k beauty is on the wall.

So how will mounting your TV improve the viewing experience? So glad you asked.

1. Your screen will be at eye level

If you set your TV on an entertainment center, the screen is often below the best viewing angle. By mounting, you can hang the TV in the sweet spot, with the middle of the screen lining up with your eye level. That gives you a better picture plus reduces fatigue during your Overwatch gaming marathons. Dibs on Zenyatta.

2. Point the TV almost anywhere

This is the biggest benefit of full motion mounts. By extending from the wall, you have space to swivel the screen to point at any seat. Now you can get the perfect picture while sitting in that comfy recliner you found on the side of the road. Trust me, watching the Fast & Furious movies from your favorite spot enhances the enjoyment tenfold. Man, the Rock is so bad-ass.

If you're feeling wild, you could even point the TV to a different room, like the kitchen. That means catching up on Silicon Valley while pan-searing that delicious bass you caught.

3. Eliminate screen glare

The only thing more annoying than screen glare is Carl clicking his pen at the office all day. If you pick a full motion mount, tilting the screen will lessen or completely eliminate your screen glare issues. Without needing tools, you can tilt the screen down and get the best viewing possible.

Not to mention all the safety improvements putting your TV on the wall gives you. Rather than your flat screen dangerously wavering every time you touch it, you can keep the screen securely connected to the wall and eliminate the risk of a tip-over.

This is a sturdy and well designed wall mount. I thought I wanted a mount that gets the TV as close to the wall as possible for a "clean" look, but after having to take down the TV a few times to get to the back, I decided that I can spare a couple of inches of clearance for the ability to access the back of my TV any time I want!

This was just about the only mount that I could find that would accommodate a 22" width (I know, an odd size, but it is what it is). The whole product; packaging, instructions, the mount itself, all SCREAM quality. Everything seems so well engineered and functional that I have no doubt this mount would hold my 60+ lb TV up for a 100 years (like I'll have a TV that long! ha!)

The articulating motion is really smooth for how much weight it's supporting. Again, really solid engineering.

I do think this product is a bit expensive, but it's been a great experience thus far.

AND THE INSTRUCTIONS HAD ME BELLY LAUGHING! It's a really nice touch to read some humor in an otherwise mundane product. Kudos!

ECHOGEAR: The gauntlet has been thrown! The only recommendation I would have to the manufacturer is to incorporate some sort of cable management aside from the included velcro ties. The problem with using those is that the cables get trapped by the articulating arms when the mount is fully collapsed. It's nothing that I anticipate will damage the cables, but if the articulating arm were hollow where I could run the HDMI and/or power cables through it, that would make this product just about perfect. From what I can tell, it's hollow (hint hint)...

Seriously, though, you make a good product and I'll be purchasing the size down of this mount for my standard 16" stud applications.

A little overkill for what I needed, but good future proofing.

The instructions were very straight forward and easy to understand. I almost felt like it wasn't the first time I was hanging a large TV. The only difficult thing about hanging this mount was trying to bolt the mount to the wall while holding it against the wall due to the height that I was hanging it. The instructions say to use two people to hang the TV to the mount, but they should probably mention getting help with that part as well, but this is pretty obvious. The bolts were great, and it was quite nice to be able to use a socket set to bolt it on rather than a hex head like some others offer. My floating entertainment center that I mounted below the TV had these and half of them stripped out.

All in all I am happy with the fact that I went with this larger model than going with the smaller and more reviewed model. I will certainly consider buying another one when I hang my other TV if it will support it.

This stand is so sturdy and built well. I wanted something great for my LG OLED 65” tv and was looking for a bit until I came across this mount and decided to go for it. I am glad that I did.

Overall, I really liked this product. Installation was pretty easy, and the price is great compared to other models that will hold a 65" TV. It has a nice heft to it, so there is no way this is a one person install; but as far as I'm concerned that just verifies that a properly heavy duty gauge steel was used in the construction of the main components. Moving this TV around feels easier and smoother than another full motion mount I have (and the other brand is holding a smaller tv, so it should be easier).

My only negative was this: the tilt feature hold screws are not strong enough to keep my TV (65" Samsung OLED TV) at any level of tilt other than straight up. I assume its due to the lever arm the TV creates with the tilt joint, but as soon as I tried to set about 3 degrees of tilt, the TV would just slide until it was at the full 15 degrees. I tried tightening the tilt hold screws, but they never held, to the point where the screw with a handle stripped out the threads on the receiving hole. I plan to repair this with a drill, a tap, and a bigger bolt; but it is more labor than I had hoped to put into it.

I had to mount a 65" LG TV (65UJ7700) to a wall with Studs 24" on center. Few Mounts stand up to the task and this one fit the bill perfectly. The rating was such that it even has my Cable Box & Sound Bar all mounted to the mount/TV keeping everything nice and tidy. The ability to pull the TV away from the wall and pivot is amazing for if you shift things into the other room and still want a good shot of the game. Additionally it's worth mentioning that the Smart-Home installers I had put everything together mentioned that having hung 1000+ TVs in the area, this was the nicest mount they've seen. They said it's way better than the one they sell even. So they asked me to email them the link as they may carry this as their standard for 'Big TV' mounts given it allows easy work behind the TV without taking it off the wall and then TV just goes right back up against wall maintaining a reasonable level of low profile. I'm super happy with it and will be ordering more when I finish my basement and need to put up more TVs.

COWIN E7 PRO [Upgraded] Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Bluetooth Headphones with Microphone/Deep Bass Wireless Headphones Over Ear 30H Playtime for Travel/Work/TV/Computer/Cellphone - Black

COWIN E7 PRO [Upgraded] Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Bluetooth Headphones with Microphone/Deep Bass Wireless Headphones Over Ear 30H Playtime for Travel/Work/TV/Computer/Cellphone - Black

Consider this a 4.5 star review. These are some pretty excellent headphones for the price, and I was pleasantly surprised when I received mine - they're a bit better than I expected in almost every way. They do have a couple of minor flaws - one of which seems not so minor to some people - and the sound quality isn't *quite* as good as the best headphones on the market. That said, the best headphones can run hundreds of dollars, and these are less than a single Franklin.

First, the sound quality without noise cancelling on. It's bass heavy, a little bit muddy, but still the mids and highs come through clearly. Most headphones with muddy bass are really muddy all the way through the frequency range, but these aren't - if you can deal with the bass, the rest of the music sounds great. I also haven't detected any sibilance in the high end, which cheap drivers can often give you.

I've learned that you need to be careful how you test audio output equipment these days because many modern recordings already sound like garbage, and garbage in gives you garbage out. My go-to track for testing is Boston's "Hitch a Ride" from the days when engineers knew how to record stuff and off a very old, unremastered CD produced before the "loudness war" was a thing. I know this recording itself sounds amazing. And it sounds pretty great through these headphones. Really spacious sound stage, very good dynamics, crystal clear guitars, drums and vocals, but just that muddy bass that's a bit overemphasized, and not really at the most pleasing frequencies for it to be overemphasized. Still, I expected worse for this price and with all the other features these headphones have!

Other recordings sound better or worse, of course - these headphones are definitely good enough to distinguish easily between a good and bad recording. If a recording already has too much bass, though, then it's going to sound really boomy and kind of unpleasant with these. But, well, that's the same problem you'd have with a pair of Beats, and lots of people seem to like those.

Funnily enough, one way to kill the bass is by turning noise canceling on. I wouldn't necessarily recommend that just for audio quality because it does some other things to the sound as well, but they do still sound pretty good with the noise canceling engaged. I have a pair of Sony MDR-10RNC wired noise canceling headphones, which I absolutely *love* for their noise canceling but not so much for their sound quality, and the E7 Pros blow the doors off the Sonys for sound quality with noise canceling on.

The noise canceling itself seems to work pretty well, but you have to know why noise canceling exists on headphones at all, and that's for flying. That's it. Nobody's making noise canceling circuitry that's tuned for quieting your co-workers or muting a TV that your family's watching; I don't care what the product page here says. The circuitry is tuned for low frequencies, such as you'd hear from a jet engine inside a plane - that's what noise canceling was invented for and that's what it's still good at. I tested these phones against my Sonys using an app on my cell phone connected to my home audio system that gave me airplane-like low frequencies, and these seemed to do basically just as well from what I could tell. They really cut a lot of the low frequency roar. I'm anxious to try them on an actual airplane now, but I might be able to just totally replace my beloved Sonys for travel.

But this is why some people say the noise canceling works great and other people say it doesn't do anything. You have to understand the purpose of it, and use it for that purpose. It's not for shutting out life; it's for reducing fatigue caused by engine and wind noise on airplanes.

Ironically, there is a little added mid-frequency white noise with noise canceling on. You don't notice this when you're in a noisy environment; in fact, my Sonys do it too and I didn't even know it until I tested them against the E7 Pros. It actually sounds like it may be the exact same circuity in both sets of headphones, although I'm not sure if it is.

I do have the same problem that some have mentioned where quick turns of my head cut the sound out with noise canceling on. Honestly, to me this is not a dealbreaker because I really need to whip my head around fast for it to happen, and I just normally don't move that way - especially not when sitting in an airplane seat, which is where I'd be using the noise canceling. Maybe some individual units are worse, but if you do want to use the noise canceling while jogging or something (which I wouldn't recommend), then even the way mine are might not work for you. I do wish it wasn't a problem at all, but it's one of the few real operational flaws of these headphones and I can live with it.

As for the Bluetooth functionality, it seems to work as you'd expect. Turn Bluetooth on, wait for the pairing light to blink, then set your device to pair and that's it. It'll automatically connect each time from then on. The connection so far has been solid and stable for me, although on my desktop I did need to move my little Bluetooth adapter from the back to the front or I'd get small momentary dropouts. But I don't know if that's the headphones' or the Bluetooth adapter's fault. One minor thing is that I wish there was a manual way to pair and connect; it doesn't seem like there is. You just turn on Bluetooth and if there are no known devices to connect to, it goes into pairing mode. If there's a known device, it just connects. The problem is I want to pair with multiple devices, and I don't want to turn all the others (computers, tablets) off all the time when I use the headphones. We'll see how frustrating this ends up being over time. I'll update the review if I really have problems with connecting/pairing to the right device.

Lastly, the build quality on these seems pretty good; again, better than I'd expect for this price and with these features. Where are they cutting corners?? I guess they're slightly bulky and heavy, but not uncomfortably so. I have seen photos of the older (non-Pro) E7 and they have updated the casing to be metal on the outside, which looks and feels good, and the headphones themselves are comfortable and very softly padded. The quality isn't quite up there with my Sonys, but those were originally $300 headphones, and these are relatively close in look and feel. They don't feel like they're in another class, at least. There are still a couple spots (the sides of the earpieces, for example) with shiny, cheap feeling plastic, but it's pretty sparsely used.

I do recommend these headphones if you're looking for an inexpensive set of Bluetooth headphones. They sound good (except for too much bass), look good, they're comfortable, noise canceling cancels the noise it's supposed to cancel, and they're wireless. I'd buy them again.

Having been a customer of the E7's, I was curious how I would like the Pros. I really like the comfort these bring. The E7s are comfortable, but the pros have a noticeably softer ear cup making it more comfortable for working or maintenance around the house. I also noticed that the ear cups swivel forward and backward to allow them to lay flat on your desk or chest more easily than the E7s. I am not sure if that is a upgrade or not as much as just a difference I noted. I like having the volume controls on the sides of the new pros. If my phone is in my pocket, I can just reach up and adjust quickly. Noise Cancelling seems a bit better. Starting music in Bluetooth mode then switching to Noise Cancelling you can hear a major difference which is nice. Also using the 3.5mm plug i can use Noise Cancelling with it. with my E7s I could never use Noise cancelling with the 3.5mm cable plugged in for whatever reason, so that is a nice change. I love the upgrade so far, will post an update on battery time once I use them more. Nice work Cowin for decent priced headphones that deliver on so many levels!

Introduction

When I reviewed COWIN’s E7 headphones with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), I vividly remember the amazing Bluetooth range, excellent sound reproduction and good noise cancellation. When I found out that the Pro version of these headphones became available, I had to make the purchase to see how the manufacturer improved the product. Read on to find out if the Pro version lived up to my E7 expectations.

Package Contents

1 – Bluetooth Headphones with ANC
1 – Charging Cable
1 – Auxiliary Cable
1 – User Guide
1 – Thank You Card
1 – VIP Membership Card
1 – Hard Shell Case

Controls

The controls are conveniently located on the right earcup. On the outside are three multi-function buttons, the dot (.), plus (+) and minus (-) buttons. See below for their functionalities.

Dot (.) – Play/pause music, accept/end/reject a call, call the last number dialed
Plus (+) – Increase volume, skip to the next track
Minus (-) – Decrease volume, skip to the previous track

On the bottom part of the right earcup is a sliding switch that turns the device on/off, enables/disables ANC and sets the headphones to Bluetooth mode. Next to the switch is the microphone and the auxiliary input port.

Performance and Use

The E7 Pro feels comfortable. The leatherette padding on the inside is soft. The cups are big enough to fit my ears which I consider larger than most. They also twist for easier storage. The soft leatherette on the adjustable band results in a comfortable wear.

Pairing with an iOS device was straightforward. After powering the E7 Pro, E7 appeared on my phone. Two seconds after I tapped the name, pairing was completed.

ANC test was first. I stood next to a refrigerator that produced a good amount of hum. I enabled and disabled ANC a few times and was able to conclude that at least 95% of the hum was cancelled. I was impressed. I could only imagine how well this feature would work inside an airplane.

Sound quality reproduction test was next. Low frequencies from my test track of a basso vocalist accompanied by two acoustic guitars, a flute and a clarinet sounded big and soothing. Low frequency performance is drastically improved with bass drum sounding like a “boom.” Middle frequencies were accurate. High frequencies were clear but they lack that feeling of satisfaction when the right amount is produced. I must also mention that for the first time, I heard the extremely faint sound of chimes on my test track that I have never heard before.

Bluetooth range test followed. As expected, sound didn’t cutoff until both the iOS device and the headphones were more than 100 feet apart with nothing in between. Of all the headphones I have tested, only the E7 and the E7 Pro have the amazing Bluetooth range. Most other devices start to cutoff at around 30 feet.

Phone call test results were as expected. Calls were clear with the E7 Pro. I was even able to call the last number dialed by double pressing the dot (.) button.

Pros

• Improved low frequency sound reproduction
• Accurate middle frequency sound reproduction
• Amazing Bluetooth range
• Good active noise cancellation
• Comfortable to wear
• Easy to use
• Durable construction
• Easy-to-follow user guide
• Inclusion of a hard shell case

Cons

• High frequency sound reproduction

Future Improvement

There is one aesthetic design that I would like to see in a future version of this product. When using the headset, the minus button is higher than the plus button. The locations of these buttons should be reversed resulting in the plus button physically higher than the minus button.

Conclusion

COWIN’s E7 Pro improves on the previous version by producing a more satisfying low frequency and accurate middle frequency sound quality reproduction. With many users favoring more bass than highs, this is an excellent set for most use cases. Comfort is also better compared with the older version. Additionally, the E7 Pro cancels more noise and at $90 (price at the time of review), this set will pay for itself with the ANC on a single long haul flight. The addition of a hard shell case is a nice touch. I would gladly recommend the E7 Pro to friends and family who are in the market for over-the-ear headphones with active noise cancellation.

I owned Cowin E7 for a year. This month, they had lightning sale for E7 PRO. E7PRO comes with carrying case. I had no trouble to pair with my iPhone. The sound quality is much better than E7. I tried different kind of music. I was able to hear the background music that I couldn't from other headphone. The headphone was light. I could wear for hours but I felt a little warm due of lack of ventilation. The headphone sounds a little bit different because it was manually tuned. The headphone needs burn in. More you listen, the better it gets. The headphone sounds very good without aptx.It doesn't need it. It sounds very good compared with my other headphone equipped with Apts. The noise cancelling is not as good as top quality headphone. It reduced most of the noise. Don't expect completely eliminate the noise around you. It is good enough to get rid noise at coffee shop and airplanes.

We love these, and so does the baby! Seriously- amazing sound quality, good battery life.. worth it.

I received this item Monday, charged it up and the sound was outstanding however, I have static in both ears as I adjust the headphones into a comfortable position. They sound great as long as I don’t touch them or ride my bike. Is this normal for these to give static in these instances?

Let me start off by saying Cowin’s customer service is outstanding. The above mention issue was addressed, solved and I the customer made whole. I received the replacement item today. The product is all it’s made out to be. The sound is unbelievable coming from a product at this price. I am now purchasing a second device and a gift. Thank you Cowin, you have a new customer for life.

Although I would say that the Bose QuietComforts are prettier, these actually sound better to me (particularly in regard to bass response), and are a fraction of the cost. Easy to connect with your phone or bluetooth capable devices. The construction seems sturdy and doesn't feel cheap. One small advantage over the Bose is that there is a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack connection if you want to plug in the headphones directly, whereas the Bose requires a specialized cable with a custom small jack. So far has great battery life with moderate use.

Great headphones. Definitely more attractive looking than the last version. Comes with the hard case too which is nice compared to the last versions which only came with a soft pouch. Still sound amazing comparable to more expensive brands. I will update when I get more listening time with them compared to the last version.

The sound is very good and the active noise cancelling is better than I expected. The headphones are very comfortable to wear and completely cover my ear creating a full seal. The depth of the base and clarity of the sound was very surprising when I first put them on. I would highly recommend these headphones to anyone looking for reasonably prices active noise cancelling headphones

UPDATED, active noise cancelling is no longer working. I can hear everything while listening to my music. The sound from these headphones is great, but I wanted a pair of noise cancelling headphones. I tried to contact Cowin through there website but haven't received a reply after 1 week. Now it's too late to return them to amazon. I'm very disappointed.

UPDATED, customer service replaced the non-working product with a working one. Thanks for the quick and easy exchange service.

Good quality and great bass. Worth the price

RAVPower Filehub Plus, Wireless Travel Router N300, Wireless SD Card Reader, HDD Reader, Connect USB Hard Drive to Phone, Tablet and Laptop, 6700mAh Battery, DLNA NAS Sharing Media Streamer

RAVPower Filehub Plus, Wireless Travel Router N300, Wireless SD Card Reader, HDD Reader, Connect USB Hard Drive to Phone, Tablet and Laptop, 6700mAh Battery, DLNA NAS Sharing Media Streamer

Originally bought the AC750 newest model but had nothing but problems. Returned and tried another brand and it was even worse. Figured I would get this model and try one last time and it works perfect. Little slow but works pretty like its supposed to.

Received my RAVPowerHub and tried to transfer my photos from ipad onto external drive, it’s a breeze task. Great item. Hope it will last long

I can’t even remember how long ago I bought this. This thing still works like it did from day 1. It will sit for 8 months in a drawer, yet the battery stays almost full. We streamed movies to 3 devices on a 5 hour flight last month and the battery bar went down 1. No issues at all. No streaming issues at all. Perfect!

This turned out to be a great solution to the problem of backing up photos while I'm on vacation. It's a little complicated to figure out how to do everything the first time, and then I forget half of it by the time I go on the next trip, but the device definitely does everything I wanted it to do.

Great for all iPhones, and it's a great power bank to boot.

this is a very useful pocket sized tool. I just bought a new macbook pro, and for some reason apple made the decision that people don't need USB ports anymore (yes I know there are adapters that will give me the USB ports). I saw this little beauty on here and decided to try it out and it works great for my file transfer needs, at least of small files, transferring large files I do use the adapter just so that I get a higher transfer rate, cause wireless transfer is not as fast as wired (obviously) and it saves me time to just wire in the drive I'm using. Even though this only has a maximum connection speed of 300Mbps and I'm use to 1Gbps speeds at home, just adding this into my network configuration give me the ability to add and remove my networked storage as I need it. It is also very nice that I can use it with My android Phone and my 103 year old Grandma can connect to it using her iPad and and we can watch movies on both of our Smart TV's from it Flawlessly. I have also been finding very useful at work where I do sales, service, and support for apple products and this works great for transferring files to multiple devices at once. I am think about buying a couple more just so that I can leave one at home, and work, and also have one I can keep with me, just incase.

Bought this to steam videos off USB drives and SD Cards and this didn't disappoint. Interface of the software in my android phone is a bit primitive as also the web interface of the device in a computer browser, but it is able to do the job it was intended to do so I have no complaints. Oh yeah, a nice feature this has is that it can provide a steady bridge to a wireless router to extend its range. I never travel without this as I am able to keep all our devices online as we travel using whatever Wi-Fi services it can sniff out of any hotel, hostel, library nook, restaurant and share it with up to 10 devices. It has the CPU horsepower to serve sufficiently without lag, except of course the lag of the Wi-Fi it is getting would be the only real limitation. But that's just a bonus feature, I bought this more for the media steaming capabilities so we can watch TV episodes and movies off it to our mobile devices or a wifi-enabled TV. Supports DLNA to some extent, functions as a Wi-Fi Router, can also be a powerbank with 5600mAh battery and USB output of 2A. You can even run an external hard drive off it and steam content from that device, but the runtime is greatly reduced due to the load of a USB hard drive. So as you can see, it has many uses, I'm glad I bought it. I recommend this to anybody who would like to have the capabilities I mentioned while on the go/travelling.

Fantastic travel companion!

Amazing charger and file hubs. I have two of this. Great for viewing photos, video, movies on IPAD and Iphone. No longer need to bring heavy laptop for photo transfer. Only thing is the latest software apps is not as good as the original apps. I also use Moblelite from Kingston which is also great buy for less than $20. These file hubs are great for traveling.

I wanted to use the Ravpower WD03 as an on-the-road backup device for photography - i.e. copy photos from the camera's SD card to a large USB flashdrive (128GB). I don't see very many people commenting on using it this way, so I figured I'd review my findings.

It works VERY well for backing up photos from a camera's SC card to a USB flashdrive (probably an external hard drive too - since it claims to support such devices). I was amazed by how FAST it did it.

For example, I shot 210 raw+jpg shots with my Canon 60D DSLR, resulting in 210 jpg files (about 6MB each) and 210 raw files (about 25MB each)- i.e. about 30MG for each shot. I was able to backup these files from the card to the USB flashdrive in 22 minutes. So, in other words, a typical day of shooting raw+jpg, taking say 200-300 images, would take less than 30 minutes to backup to the flashdrive in the evening.

Plus, it seems to use very little power - it has 4 lights to tell how much charge it has. 3 were lit when I started the 22 minute copy, 3 were lit when it finished! (I think the tablet battery went down by maybe 7 or 8% but I'm not positive).

That's the good news. The bad news is that at least for me the WD03 was not at all user-friendly, mostly because the FileHub Plus app that I got from Google Play did NOT work correctly on my Lenovo A8 Android tablet (with KitKat OS). Even though the Ravpower was almost instantly recognized and connected to by the tablet, the stupid app kept insisting that I was not connected, and would not show me the devices connected to the Ravpower. So it was unusable.

I almost returned the item, but discovered that if you use the tablet's browser (Chrome; Dolphin was sporadically unreliable with this) and sign in to 10.10.10.254, you get a control panel with an "Explorer" option that allows you to do the copy (and paste) operation to accomplish the backup from SD card to USB device. This is not at all obvious (at least to me it wasn't) from the manual, because it has this info in a different area (from using the device as a wireless device to control attached devices).

I was also able to upload and download files to/from the tablet's internal hard drive to the devices connected to the Ravpower (this is the area where the Dolphin browser did not function properly; Chrome did). I didn't measure how fast this operation was. It is kind of hard to know how to do it, although the Advanced User's Guide on the Ravpower website tells you how to do an upload. For a download, a long-press on any selected file in a device's filelist seems to initiate the download of that file (and any other selected, I think) to the tablet's download directory.

So, if you want to use the Ravpower WD03 as a backup for your camera, don't give up if the app doesn't work. Use your tablet's browser and it works great, with very usable speed.
===========
I am adding to my review that I just got a newer tablet, an Asus Zenpad S (has Android Lollipop - 5.0 - OS), and the app works fine on it. So I do not have to resort to using the browser as I did with my older tablet. Only negative is that the app itself is pretty confusing and hard to use, as others have reported (in fact, it looks pretty much what you get with the browser version, which is probably just an old version of the app stored on the device). Regardless, the device is still a really good way of doing backups on the road. In use, I have found that it seems to hold its charge for a very long time (just sitting unused), and as I reported earlier, it is fast as a backup device.

The Product Rocks. I don't normally get excited about anything.

This multi function piece of tech solved 5 problems for me at 1 time.

To start I have a son who is Autistic. The backseat of my Tundra is his domain. He takes 2 backpacks of movies a dvd player, his phone etc. Everything has to have its place.

My son can now just take his tablet and leave his DVD player and 2 Backpacks of movies at home.

This device has allowed me to add a phone as a hotspot and give internet access to anyone in the truck.
This device has allowed me to plug a USB SSD into it with all of my sons movies on it which he streams to his tablet.
This device has allowed me to plug my SD cards from my camera and dashcam and copy them to SSD without getting my laptop out.
This device has its own backup battery so even when the truck is turned off it powers the SSD, the Phone , so my son is not interrupted.
This device is plugged into a secondary battery to charge it as a fail safe.
This device also picks up my home wifi and becomes available on the home network. So getting to the files on the SSD is simple and fast.

All of it fits in a Plano 3600 series waterproof which fits in my center console. It can also be taken anywhere in the Plano box.

My truck is now about 60 pounds lighter and my Son is happy. Doesn't get much better than that.

Thank you RAVPower
