I bought this for my wife. We are both teachers and the laminators in the library, big ones that cost several hundred dollars and no one is allowed to use without special training, are constantly out of commission for various reasons. My wife absolutely LOVES this one! The difference between this one and the $15-20 cheap ones, as noted by other reviewers, is the speed and jam prevention. I didn't want my wife frustrated and she has been the opposite! Over the month we've had it (she opted to keep it at home so I can use it too) she and our teen daughter have run through about 300 sheets without a single jam or problem. Every time she uses it my wife says, "Have I told you enough how much I love this laminator!?!" Keep momma happy and everyone is happy! :-)
I am preschool special education teacher and am constantly laminating to preserve items for years to come. I usually use card stock and 5ml pouches and needed a laminator that could accommodate constant usage and thick projects, especially something that could get hot enough - nothing is more annoying than open corners. I should also say that I put my laminators through the ringer! This would be third/forth laminator in a few years because of the heavy usage and/or not so careful use (oops!). My biggest problems with laminators are getting jammed, not getting hot enough, or making some terrible squeaking noise. I researched laminators for a while and really would have paid more if anything had decent and consistent reviews. This was a good price and the reviews were pretty good as well. I also am an avid fan of the scotch pouches - the price is incredible for the quality - so I figured I give this a try. LOVE! It surpassed my expectations. Its nearly silent! It has different size settings (3ml or 5ml) an anti jam button. There's also a nice place to wrap the cord for storage or traveling back and forth to work. It also laminates fairly quickly! I would absolutely recommend.
It comes with two large packets, so you'll also need to get some additional lamination pouches to go along with it.
It's very small, so you can leave it on your desk counter since it doesn't take too much space. It's also a very attractive appliance. It's pretty sturdy, too. In my video, it still works upside down.
I really recommend this. Even if you're only going to laminate once or twice over the next few years, I still think you should get it.

I bought this for my classroom because the school laminator is always broken and makes such thin products. This was such a relief to have my first year as a sped teacher. It's so light and small I can take it to home and back easily. The sheets are much higher quality than a big lamination machine. The only downside is that you cannot laminate large projects. Everything has to fit in a regular sized sheet. I was so thrilled this has lasted three years so far. I use it non-stop. You just need to be mindful of how you line up the sheets when feeding the machine. If you put them in sometimes even slightly crooked, it crinkles the sheet. Also, don't let the sheets sit in the machine when they are done or the end will curl permanently. Great price and I wholeheartedly recommend this laminator!
This product was very easy to use! Our school laminator breaks so often that this was a good buy for the money. It works perfectly with 8.5 X 11 paper and smaller. It is not designed for small pieces that have been cut out and need laminating as the pouches feed at about a 70 degree angle making the pieces slide together. This was definitely a good buy!

A teacher at work told me that laminators didn't have to cost an arm and a leg and were better than what is offered at our school. I ran across this looking for something else. I am completely satisfied with the low price, the ease of use. Additionally, if you need to run it back through, which is rare, it doesn't mess anything up. I laminate everything on the 5 mil heat and it hasn't messed up any cheap printer papers, certificates or anything so far.
You can actually cut things out that were laminated and it doesn't come apart. So far everything has stayed intact, this is something the school's machine would never be able to do.
I am an elementary school teacher and I am so glad I invested in this product. I have been researching different laminators and finally decided on this one. The color is one reason I bought this particular one. Not only is the color appealing but the laminating comes out extra durable. So, I really don't feel I need to invest in heavy card stock paper anymore because my laminator takes care of that for me. Another reason I bought this product was for pure convenience. At my school, I had to wait for someone else to laminate or wait for the laminating film to come in after purchase. One principal had to okay everything the teachers laminated. Ridiculous!
This machine is quiet, it heats up quickly, and it is jam-free. It is light-weight and travels with me from home to school. It is inexpensive. The amount I paid for this is priceless when considering the control issues I have experienced when it comes to laminating. This is the best investment! I just wish I had bought one years ago.
This little machine is magic! I don't know how it could be any easier to use. I volunteer for a couple of non-profits and bought this to make some things for their use. It works so well and so economically that I plan to gift at least one of the organisations with their own and some supplies.
I ran through 50 sheets of card stock in 5 mil sleeves, and it took me about an hour total including putting everything away. The machine did not need to cool down during this project. Apparently, it does that automatically if needed.
Let me just say right up front that I'm a geezer, and when you become one as well, you'll wonder why Medicare (and Delta Dental, for that matter) sends you a paper ID card that will begin to get dog-eared and frayed after presenting it to your health providers and going in and out of your wallet a few times. This is the perfect answer, and the modest price of the machine is less than it would have cost me to go to a store to have my wife's, my neighbor's and my cards laminated professionally (they actually use a machine just like this one). I wish I had more things to laminate -- and as I write that, I realize that I should laminate my gumbo recipe, which is getting a little tattered. If you think you'll only use this for ID cards, buy just the small size pockets. I bought full-sheet size ones, and it's a waste of plastic to laminate just a card with something the size of a sheet of printer paper. But it works great. Just make sure you let the machine warm up fully before you begin using it, and feed the documents in carefully. A well made product that reliably does exactly what it says it will.
I really loved it! Is the first one I own and it does the work , its light weight.
