I spent a lot of time researching printers. I have had HP and currently have a 6+ year old Canon Pixma all in one, in another room connected via wifi. I wanted a faster printer (my old Canon took 2-5 minutes to warm up let alone process). I also needed something compact to fit inside my desk shelf (15” wide or so.) I wanted a front tray since it was going to be hard to access.
Unboxing is easy and initially it does look a bit cheap, but I am happy with it overall. It comes with 6 inks, easy to install. I do not know if it will restrict use if one ink is out, I’ll have to find out.
This printer is set up to our wifi network (the router is within 5 feet of it) which may help my printer process jobs faster! I tried to follow the paper instructions/cd-rom but it didn’t work so I just chose MANUAL SETUP on the actual printer screen, and just chose our WIFI network and entered our password. Easy and seamless! On each computer I then chose the printer and made it our default. We installed the Canon app on our phones and also did test prints. Very easy to use! You do have to go to the app first to initiate what to print however.

Just to list some good points ;
• Seems fast to me in printing B/W documents! 30 seconds to come on and spit my print job out! Color jobs and photos obviously will take a little more time.
• Auto On/OFF, under ECO SETTINGS. I chose mine to go off after 15 minutes. Then, if you send a job while it is powered off, it comes on automatically. We tested how fast it prints and sent a print job to the printer (not powered on) and within 30 seconds it turned on, tray came out, printed and finished! GREAT!
• 2 sided printing (not sure if i can use this feature if i only use my front tray)
• Printing on cd’s
• Quiet Setting (under Eco settings)
• Large Touchscreen
• Scanning is fast and saves file right to my desktop.
Would recommend this printer and update review as I use the various features. Overall it probably took me an hour to unbox, setup, and connect it to our wifi.
I was looking for a printer that could meet all my needs. I thought this was the one except I didn’t realize that there isn’t a feeder to make multiple copies at once. This is something I definitely need. I proceeded to return the printer and Hot Electronics was fantastic during the whole return process. I received a full refund and I couldn’t be more impressed with the seller. Printer itself is very high tech and impressive. Super easy to sync with wifi and other devices.
Compact machine for small projects/home use. So far printing fine. Have not tried scanning yet. Instructions for wireless not entirely helpful. Had better luck connecting wireless via printer screen v. computer.
This is a high quality printer, and I love all the new technology. I can now print directly from my iPhone and iPad! Print quality is good and I highly recommend this printer!
Very easy to setup wirelessly to my PC and smartphone! I had an issue with the black not printing and called Canon tech support and he solved it immediately. Print quality is great!
Also, the printer arrived a day earlier than expected!!

The printer is smooth and easy. Great product for the cost and I've had no issues.
First the negatives: paper tray is flimsy and not all of the moving parts are permanently connected (e.g., the disc tray... aren't discs obsolete anyway?) - it takes some research to figure out where everything belongs; similarly, there is a learning curve for loading paper and setting up the scanner; you have to go to Canon's website and get the software needed to use all of the features; and finally, the ink prices are unreasonable and generic ink is still too new for market competition to bring down the price, but that will probably change in a few months.
Positives: the wireless setup was remarkably easy compared to earlier models; there is a touch screen which simplifies everything (that alone is worth $100); the unit is very compact and light; and, photos print beautifully on 4x6 glossy.
For home use with two computers. Our old Lexmark computer could only be accessed from my wife's laptop when my Apple computer was turned on. This printer is accessed freely by wireless from each device totally independent of any other device. Both of our computers are Apples, but I would believe that this printer is also compatible with any currently sold PC. We ordered it with a full complement of regular ink cartridges (6). We have not had it long enough to tell how many copies the cartridges can make. My only complaint would be with the setup procedures. At one point, I had to select MANUAL SETUP to connect my iMac wirelessly to the printer, following subsequent directions on the screen. In both setups (iMac and Apple laptop), I had to go to Finder to locate the download and open it. The START SETUP screen did not come up automatically. Also, while the Users Manual referred to the ability to "wake up" the printer by sending a print order when the printer was off, I only discovered from a review above, that you have to set up this function in the ECO menu under SETTINGS.
Many Canon ink printers listed in Amazon have poor reviews. The TS9120 stood out from the crowd with a high rating. The printer has impressive new technology, easy connection to WiFi, extensive helpful software. It also prints well. I would recommend it.
