I am happy with these wipes. I used to use them only for my purse or for travel, but now I use them for home too. I used to clean my glasses at home with a liquid spray followed by wiping with a Kleenex or cloth. I was very frustrated with that routine because the cleaning itself was creating smears on my lenses, and I had to keep spraying and wiping over and over each time. It was so much easier when I traveled and used these wipes. It finally occurred to me that I should just use the wipes at home too...duh! The price turns out to be fine for using daily, and well worth the convenience. It's so much better because the wipes clean my glasses well in a couple of seconds, with no smears. I finally just threw away what was left in my spray bottle and ordered a supply of these wipes. I've been using the wipes exclusively to clean my glasses for a couple of years now, and it has made life much easier.
These are awesome for traveling and cleaning your glasses. I used to use some dawn dish soap and a microfiber cloth to clean my glasses but I still ended up with scratches and it was a burden to carry such a bulky cloth and mess liquid soap as well as needing running water.
I'm pretty sure there is a scam going on with glasses where the coatings scratch super easy, almost faster when you get the non-scratch coating. If you plan to use your glasses for any extended amount of time and not have scratches, I believe something like these are crucual.
It's important to first lightly dust off any particulate on the glasses before applying pressure to remove smudges as to not grind any dust into the lenses. I'd also recommend using those little brushes that come with a hair shaver to first brush off any dirt; like a broom would flick away dust. Only after removing the surface dust would I clean any smudges.
You have to be fast because these dry out quickly due to the alcohol evaporating. Temperature matters so I'd recommend cleaning your glasses in a location that doesn't have high winds or is in warm sun.
I do wish these were a bit larger, that would be my only complaint.
A luxury item, but I would go days or weeks without cleaning my eye glasses, and they got so bad, that I'd then use a shirt or whatever cloth was laying around, and I think that would scratch the surface. These so far have kept them clean and clear with no scratches. They dry out very quickly once opened, so there's not the chance for reuse a few hours later, but after cleaning my eye glasses I then use the sheet to use cleaning whatever glass I have nearby, like a cell phone, computer monitor, watch, or picture frame. So I think I'm getting good value and use out of it.
Update: the 200 count box lasted me a little over 2 years, and I'm buying a replacement now. The packaging is still moist, even when I keep them in my wallet or car for weeks at a time. They don't scratch my glasses, and easily keep everything clean. I've been very happy with this brand.
you simply can NOT beat these for either easy of use or the great end results! We have a supply in multiple places, vehicles, boats, etc. They are awesome for cleaning glasses, but also for wiping off the PC screen, iPad, smart phone screen, sunglasses straps, you name it. Our latest is having some around in the car in case you get your hands sticky, pop one out and wipe off, removes any sticky feeling as well as helps to get rid of bacteria if you don't have any sanitizing gel handy! Highly recommended, you will find they really help you out on a day to day basis.
Damp enough to actually get dog slobber off of glasses of an exuberant loving border collie. Great for the camera lenses without scratching them or leaving lint, then use on the cell phones after that. Nice small individual packaging makes a breeze for throwing in the camera bag, the car console, etc. So many I've bought don't have enough moisture when you open the pack, these are perfect, and even better NO LINT when you are done!! I will buy again!!

I have been using lens cleaning cloths on my glasses for decades. I've been frustrated by the fact that I have to clean them so often. What I didn't know what that by using those soft cloths, my glasses were never really getting clean. When a friend recommended that I buy these Zeiss wipes, he gave me one to try. I noticed right away that after using the Zeiss wipe, my glasses stayed clean and clear for the remainder of the day. Since I bought these, I use one wipe to clean my glasses every morning and they stay clear all day long. Well worth what I paid for them.
these are pretty amazing. they seem to wipe anything and not leave streaks. mostly i use them on my computer reading glasses, but i have used them on camera filters (i'm very careful about rarely cleaning the actual lens surface of an expensive lens), computer screens. even cleaned off wrist watches.
i must really love them because the packages are insanely obnoxious to open, yet i still have these 5 stars. so you know they must be good.
These wipes are a miracle for smudgy, dirty lenses. I struggle with lenses that get overly dusty and dirty, full of makeup, etc., and these work wonders to get them clean. I had a friend give me one at work and I was so hooked after 1 use that I bought 200 of them to stock up! I wish they'd have come in a box or some kind of neat packaging, though, they just arrived in a large plastic bag. Still 5 stars because the product, itself, if fantastic.
I’m a fan of these wipes because they are wetter than most and leaves a clean surface. I buy these specifically to keep my guys in the field from fogging their lenses with tee shirts or paper towels. (We provide somewhat expensive safety glasses for comfort so the guys don’t have to be nagged to wear them.)
The wipes come in a convenient box, contrary to others complaining about a bulk bag.
My only gripe is that the wipes come packed siamese. They’ve been perforated, but the fellas take a pair, use one wipe, then put the other in a pocket to get lost or washed. I ended up tearing them all apart.
Otherwise, this is an excellent lens wipe.
everyone that has glasses knows that our greasy human fingers and greasy silly faces just gunk the gills off of our glasses. having to clean them constantly with a t shirt or a square of toilet paper leaves much in the department of desire. but these puppies (not actual puppies) work great. best to stock up by the hundreds (this box should last a while) cause i don't see my fingers (or face) becoming an less greasy any time in the foreseeable future.
