If you need a good used machine for work or home I could find no better value. Compact design, a fast processor, plenty of ram and ssd storage make this a very zippy unit.
I had a minor problem that was quickly resolved. I think during shipment, a wire shifted and was touching the case / power supply fan. Upon first boot I received a warning about the case fan and an option to run the Dell diagnostic. About midway through the stress test the power supply began to overheat because no fan was blowing. I phoned the seller and described the problem. No hassle or 20 questions. Cardiff in tech support was very courteous and at my request, immediately sent a replacement power supply. Because the Optiplex 9020 is a genius layout inside, a YouTube video and 15 minutes later the part was in.
I don't blame the seller. Things like this can happen. I do credit the seller with fast response and followup emails to confirm my satisfaction.
The unit arrived this morning. Well packaged (foamed in place in the box) and shipped quickly. This unit came from Stallion Tek. The exterior was clean with some minor scratches, but overall fit the description as a refurb. Popped the side panel off and checked under the hood. It has four 4 gb RAM modules instead of the two 8's that some have received. I noted another reviewer had a problem with a wire that had gotten jammed into the cooling fan blade that woofed the power supply. In this case there were two wires (looked like supply power to the SSD) right against the fan housing so I took up some slack in the wiring and eased them back from the fan. Other than that little adjustment it looked fine.
The unit came with a Displayport to VGA adaptor. I wanted HDMI and had ordered the adaptor so no big deal. It came with a power cord, keyboard, and wifi dongle, but no mouse. No big deal as I wasn't going to use them anyway. It also didn't come with the Windows 10 disc, something that was part of the package (I'll follow up with Stallion Tek). Installed a Logitech wireless keyboard dongle into a usb port and started it up. It booted right up and setup was pretty simple.
This is a quick machine! It has a little help as this one shipped with an I7 4790 processor (bonus)!
I'm thoroughly happy with the unit straight out of the box. I own a few refurbed Optiplex pc's for our business, and for the price you can't beat them. They aren't sexy but they are well built and last forever. I'm hoping to have the same experience with this one.
The computer had all the features described and works very well. As a matter of fact, I liked it so much, I ordered another one for a new employee. The computer should arrive tomorrow.
It took about five days to receive it, but I received it before the last day I was told I might receive it.
I like everything about this computer except for the wifi dongle is not dual band, so had to replace it. The 4core i7 processor is mega fast and the ram is more than sufficient. This is the first solid state HD that I have owned and I am impressed with the speed and quietness of it. best of all it is half the size of my old desktop, in fact I currently have it sitting sideways under my big ass monitor. Would definitely recommend to others.
Great computer. Love the SSD, boots up is seconds. Easy set up, no problems. Would buy form this company again.

Using this as a workstation in the office and has more than enough ram and processor speed to handle anything we run on it. Great system when your on a budget! Runs 2 x 1080 27" monitors just fine. Great deal all the way around. Would purchase again.
Running photoshop, browser with many tabs open, Spotify, Dropbox, various peripherals, etc., doesn't seem to slow down. Very happy. No problem with set-up/Windows. I kind of wish they wouldn't send the wired mouse and keyboard along with it, or at least give you a choice, so it doesn't go straight to the landfill. Will order again.
This is a great deal! I was very pleased with this purchase. Just be aware that it is "Renewed". The machine I received has worked great so far, but the case did have some scrapes. Still a great value for the money!

I love dell computers but sometimes their less expensive models are sluggish. This model is great!
So, I rarely ever leave reviews for products. However, I had to make an exception to that in the case of the refurbished Optiplex I bought. I could not have been happier with my purchase. Firstly, the packaging was excellent. The computer was very secure in its cocoon of safety. It arrived in a very short time and was super easy to set up. In fact, I spent far more time routing my wires just the way I wanted than setting up the computer. It was ready to go right out of the box.
