Boss Audio CXX10 800 Watt, 10 Inch, Single 4 Ohm Voice Coil Car Subwoofer

Boss Audio CXX10 800 Watt, 10 Inch, Single 4 Ohm Voice Coil Car Subwoofer

Perfect fit for the money in my DIY bluetooth boombox. I will purchase again. This sub really knocks for the small footprint and small price. I have it paired with four 6.5" and a 2 channel bluetooth amp board with 100 watts for this sub.

it was working good, did the whole keeping volume down to break in the speaker. not even a month and the speaker stopped working.... tested a different speaker just to make sure it wasn't any wiring problem but the other speaker works fine... not sure if this can be covered by warranty? (update) amazon replaced the speaker and its been working perfectly for a few months now!

Arrived early. Looks pretty well built for the cost. The foam backing on the box side of the woofer mounting surface was a unexpected bonus.
Will be hooked up to about 75watts RMS as a stock amplified woofer upgrade, which I foresee having no issue with as I'm sure this woofer is heavily overrated as far as wattage. But that's the norm these days, unicorn numbers. 😂

Update 4/21/18: This 12" actually slaps! Like, I am blown away. I've had a lot of systems, and a lot of woofers, and this thing definitely surpassed expectation. Touché Boss.

I purchased two of these eventually. I was looking to replace the drivers in two older SLS QG-5000W down-firing subwoofers. These are indoor home theater subs not car subs as I presume is the usual application for these. The original paper cones in them had worn foam and were cracking so they were getting ready to go the electronics recycle place. I figured at this price, these were worth a gamble because the amps in the subs were working fine and I hate to waste things. After installing the first one and getting it tuned, I was very pleasantly surprised. It sounded like it was engineered for the enclosure. Bass was tight and accurate. So I purchased another one for the second sub of the same model I had and it sounds just as good.

I'm not looking to blow out the room with these subs. They are mostly used for music listening. So I am looking more for accuracy than boom. These have worked out very well. They saved two perfectly good amps and enclosures from disposal and put them to use on a regular basis.

Very pleased with them.

So far so good. Make certain to break in properly, otherwise will sound horrible. This is second one I have had, so I knew what to expect. Not boomy like a 12", but tighter more controlled bass. No way it handles the advertised power, but sounds decent nonetheless. I am pushing 200 watts to it and sound pretty good, not competition good, but sound filling where factory speakers can't produce. I have it mounted in a space saving .65 cu. ft. sealed box with stuffing added in trunk of 09 Pontiac G6 sedan.

Description

With Extreme looks and bass output, the CXX10 10" Chaos Extreme Series Single Voice Coil Subwoofer from Boss Audio Systems is the stylish upgrade to your car's audio system with super-clear lows. With a metallic black finish that accents any interior and impressive 800 watts of power handling, the CXX10 produces both looks and sound that stand out above the rest.

I bought this to replace a Memphis Power Reference that was deteriorating. This sub is lighter, I didn't have to wire two voice coils, sounds the same (maybe better once broken in) as the $120 sub it replaced, and I got it under $20. Don't get stuck on the fancy name brands, this thing hits!

Got this to replace the stock JBL rear subwoofer in my 2001 Toyota Avalon. It's not a perfect match to replace the stock speaker, but I was able to install it without too much trouble. Sounds fine with the otherwise-stock system, and for the price I can't complain.

For the money can't be beat great lil subs I have two 10s and 1100watt in my truck I would buy again boss audio is underrated in the cat audio world

For the price, this cannot be beat. It has more bass than I was expecting. I like volume with some clear bass, not over the top, and this nailed it. Was a replacement woofer for my Tahoe. Was worried I'd need to replace the amp for it, but it worked out perfectly.

Had to put speakers in a classic car without ruining original interior with big ugly door speakers. these fit nicely into the fender wells behind the kick panels with only slight cutting to enlarge the hole that's already there. Mounted a Boss dual coil 8" sub-woofer in the back center of the rear shelf. Hooked the left and right rear speaker wires, each, to one of the 2 coils. Result: Nice full sound with additional bass added from the sub-woofer. These perform nicely for such small speakers. Happy camper!
