Bitters "Triple Play" Variety 3-Pack: Angostura, Peychauds and Regans

Bitters

I've always been a fan of Angostura bitters and now enjoying trying the others. The orange Regan's adds a nice fruitiness, and the Peychaud's is a fantastic, unique spice. Depending on the base liquor used (eg. rye, bourbon, rum, gin, Canadian whisky, etc), I find I prefer one over the others. It's been fun to try out new drinks.

This is the perfect trio.
The Regan's Orange bitters are the optimal choice for orange bitters, since the ones from Angostura are too strong and prominent and overtake any cocktail, despite the fact that they're gorgeous on their own. On the other hand the Regan's are a bit too thin and one have to have pretty sensitive nose and palate in order to notice them.
The downside of the trio is the packaging - they're so well wrapped and protected individually, that the whole package surpasses a certain weight threshold and the customs (if you're abroad) tax you additionally.

They arrived packaged with care and getting all three at once was great. I live in small town and it's hard to locate certain items. Great price for what we got and restating how well packaged it was. Reminded me of a small town business that cares about the quality they're sending out. Will certainly buy again!

I bought them to replace the ones that were running out. They go well with the rum, a few drops in a glass of vodka for an excellent touch of flavor, with the gin as well.

A nice starter pack for a variety of bitters. This set will cover many of the classic and new cocktail recipes. A must have if you have a home bar.

Description

Angostura Aromatic Bitters (4 oz) is a highly concentrated food and beverage flavoring. Made from a secret formula, it is a unique blend of natural herbs and spices which is used to flavor a wide variety of foods and drinks. The "secret" was developed in 1824 by Dr. J.G.B. Siegert, a Surgeon General in Simon Bolivar's army in Venezuela. He used his aromatic bitters to improve appetite and digestive well-being of the soldiers. The word "Angostura" came from the town of that name in Venezuela where Dr. Siegert was based. Regans is a fun addition to any well-stocked bar, this 5-ounce bottle of orange bitters, in particular, adds a delicious splash of spice to a variety of drinks--everything from a Rum Martini or an Old Fashioned to a Manhattan or a Sloe Gin Cocktail. Developed by cocktail-expert Gary Regan, the mixer offers a delicate, yet complex orange flavor infused with spicy cinnamon and cloves. Peychauds (5 oz) is the classic New Orleans bitters and a crucial ingredient in the signature Sazerac cocktail, Peychaud's is sure to enhance the taste of whatever you're sipping. As one of only two brands of cocktail bitters to survive from pre-prohibition days, Peychaud's is used some of the world's most classic cocktails like the Manhattan, Old Fashioned, and Whiskey Sour. Made right in New Orleans, it's been a legendary favorite since the 1800's.

These are essential bitters for a variety of whiskey-based cocktails. They are also useful to add savor to fruit and other desserts and dips. The vendor provided prompt service for the order.

Three bitters arrived well packaged, however, despite their best efforts, the bottle of Peychauds leaked. Nevertheless, I like the sizes (I don't want the extra large bottles as I like to keep my bitters fresh) so this three pack was just right.

Arrived on time and intact. Carefully bubble wrapped glass bottles. Recipient was impressed and excited to try out this gift.

a copula bucks cheaper than the local shop I love bitters they ramp up less expensive burbons and other drinks and cocktails

Adds an interesting flavor to many drinks. The Angostura is pretty easy to find even in common large chain grocery stores. The other two are not so common. Handy to get all three at once.
