For a packaged meal, this wasn't at all bad. It was a quick easy meal. The veggies & the meat were fresh. And, it wasn't over-sauced. I do Hello Fresh meal delivery and was interested in doing a comparison.
The Tyson's meal was much faster to prepare. (No veggies to cut and sauce was pre-made.) Comparing this to a recent Thai pork noodle meal from Hello Fresh. The Hello Fresh meal took about twice as long to make because produce had to be cleaned and cut and meatballs had to be be made. But, the Hello Fresh meal was SO much better. The noodles were homemade-style. The freshly made sauce was way better in the Hello Fresh meal. It even came with a lime to squeeze to give the meal brightness.
The Tyson's meal tasted like one purchased from the mall food court. The Hello Fresh meal tasted like it was prepared at a favorite restaurant.
For a quick meal, the Tyson's Tastemaker was good. Nice to have in the fridge for nights when I don't really feel like cooking. But, it sure won't replace Hello Fresh in my home.
So the flavor was pretty good. My wife didn’t like the sauce too much though. The dish was VERY easy to put together. My dish didn’t look like the picture. Said to cook everything in the same dish but that caused everything to sort of take on the color of the sauce. Not as colorful as the picture IRL.
UPDATE:
Ordered this dish for a second time and decided to change my star rating from a 3 to a 4. I know I said I probably wouldn’t have ordered it again, but Amazon had limited stock on everything else so I said what the heck. This time my dish looked so much more appetizing than it did the first time. My wife even said it was good this time around. Not sure how I did anything different, but it was better. Still love how fast this one takes to make. Like 20 mins tops.
Getting the negative out of the way, the package states that this serves three. If you are not serving this with an appetizer or soup, count it as having two nice servings. With that being said, the package met my expectations. The veggies were fresh and crisp, the pork was well marinated. Since everything comes cleaned and prepared this dish took me about 15 minutes total and required a bit of oil, a skillet and a wooden spoon. It tasted like the dish it was advertised to be and the noodles had a great texture. Overall a success. I rarely "don't feel like cooking." I love cooking, but on this day I had just too many other things going on. Spending 15 minutes total to cook with the only cleanup being the pan and spoon ending up with something I "might have whipped up," was a really nice convenience. It would have taken more time to get something from the drive-thru on the way home than it did to cook this.
This dish came out delicious! All the vegetables were super fresh. Very clear instructions. Really easy to put together. Had plated 3 plates and still had plenty left for another 2. Served with Dole Asian Salad and even put my serving atop some of the fresh salad for extra crunch.
Oh goodness...I burnt the oil in the pain and almost choked the whole family with smoke but this kit is LEGIT! Smoke alarm yelled and so did the fam! "Add more to the cart"! Done:)
Sincerely,
Horrible cook/decent Mom & Wife:)

Description
Tyson Tastemakers Yakisoba Noodle Stir Fry with Miso-Ginger Pork meal kit with all natural pre-seasoned meat, fresh stir fry vegetables, crispy wontons, and an easy to follow recipe.
This is the second Tyson Tastemakers meal that we've tried and it was another success! It was very tasty and straightforward to make. The instructions were very clear and the blend of flavors was nice. I added a little sriracha sauce to make it spicier but it was good even without that. There are a couple minor reasons I'm giving it only four stars: one was that the pork strips were difficult to separate in the pan. They were all packaged together and I hoped they would separate a bit as they cooked, but I wound up having to pull them apart in the pan with tongs and a fork while they sizzled - not terrible but a little more difficult than I expected. The other reason for four stars is that I feel like $19.99 is a little overpriced for what you get in this kit - you are definitely paying for convenience.
First meal I have tried. We made some additional veggies on the side and it fed 2 adults and 2 toddlers, one portion each. The sauce was a little much for my one child. You can really taste the ginger but I loved the ginger taste. Everything was fresh, the pork was already cut up and was very easy to make. Well worth it and great price too. I would definitely order this meal again
This is our second time ordering this and it was just as good as the first time. The veggies and meat are packed so they stay fresh and the sauce is delicious. Additionally there's enough sauce and veggies to add more noodles to easily make this a meal for 3-4 people.
Great flavor and easy to prepare. I think it is not enough for 3 adults, but at the price point it serves 2 adults and one child just great!!!
LOVE this dinner. Easy to make and tastes great. Good quality. I would say it’s 2.5 dinner servings
