I have a fold over rubberish case that protects the back and front of my iPad. I first tried installing the protector without the case on. It went on perfectly. However, when I put the case on, the case overlap lifted the protector, and the glass adhesive started creeping up. So I removed the glass & left my case on. I then used the tape to once again remove any new dust on the iPad. Be sure to use the tape on every square inch of the iPad. Then, using only my fingers to hold the diagonal corner edges of the Sparin glass, I slowly lowered the glass down. When it got low enough, the case lip perfectly centered the Sparin. I just let go and watched the adhesive slowly spread across the screen. I used a credit card covered with the microfiber cloth, to put across the entire screen and edges. Finally just wiped the new protector with the microfiber cloth, and I was done. Not a trapped particle anywhere. So, if you have a case put it on 1st. Then drop the protector with the film still on, and see if the protector will fit. If the Sparin can’t go between your case lips, I wouldn’t even try to install it. Your case will cause the glass to lift up. If it fits between your case lips, install it with your case already on. Using the tape hinge method of applying your Sparin is not as easily done as their video shows.
I am surprised reviews are as good as they are. I ended up using both protectors for one iPad. The issue I ran into was the "dust remover" kept leaving lines of glue on the screen, which then had to be remove with the cloth, which left dust, which needed to be removed with the dust remove, which left glue on the screen... Are you getting the idea? Because this was my morning. It was very frustrating.
In the end, I have a 90% perfect screen on my iPad. Some glue marks remain, but they're not terribly noticeable unless the screen brightness is about 15% or less. It's better than having dust though because even the smallest spec of it creates an air pocket which is so obnoxiously obvious it can be seen from space.
All in all, the protector will do its job, but installing it is horrible. I wish I'd gotten a kit which you apply wet.
Edit, the company reached out to me and sent me another set of protectors. They were very nice about it. I won't lie, I am editing this partly because after they sent the replacements, they have been sending me messages like crazy asking me to update my review. So. Many. Messages.
I do appreciate their concern, so, I've changed to a five star rating, but the title remains the same because, seriously, so many messages...
This is an updated review of this product. The vendor contacted me shortly after I posted my initial review of the product. I honestly didn't care that much since the cost was minimal. First of all, I must say that I was very impressed with the way they stood behind their product and their persistent effort to satisfy their customer. They actually took the time and effort of attempting multiple shipments of the replacement product to me. The first failed shipment was due to a quirk in the Amazon shipment not being able to be deliver to my regular Amazon locker. I don't fault the vendor for this. They then made another attempt to ship to my home. Secondly, upon arrival, the end result was a flawless install as shown on the attached picture.
I'll be honest. It took a little extra effort and patience to align & install the replacement screen protector. I followed the instructions once again using all of the provided wipes and clothes, but dust removal proved to be the biggest challenge. This time the alignment tape had more adhesion to it and it did not come loose during the application of the screen protector. Again, the product pretty much adheres to the iPad on it own and I just had to smooth away the air bubbles towards the nearest edge and they disappeared. Installation tips:
1.) DO press the guide tape firmly onto the iPad back to ensure a strong installation hinge
2.) DO NOT mimic the installation video. Instead, place the 3 guide stickers along the 'longer' side of the iPad
3.) DO follow the cleaning instruction video
4.) DO really take the time to remove the dust from the iPad screen (press and peel off the dust absorber tape, don't dab)
I updated my original rating from 3 star to a 5 star. I think that the product itself is a 4 star (it takes some extra effort to install and it's a fingerprint magnet, but wipes easily), but it is worth buying. The 5th star is really for the customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another product from this vendor and I would feel comfortable recommending them to others.
ORIGINAL REVIEW - 3 Star
I read the installation document and also watched the installation on YouTube. The results were mixed.
Pros
- Both the supplied installation document and online instructions were clear
- The screen adhesion works really well on the main body of the screen
- It's easy to push the air bubbles outward and it actually did most of the work on its own
- The screen is crystal clear
Cons
- The supplied installation guide tapes have poor adhesion. One of the guides came loose after I had already removed the plastic screen cover as I was flipping the glass screen protector onto the iPad. Of course, this set off a chain of events as I tried to realign the screen protector with the one remaining guide tape which resulted in a slightly misaligned installation.
- This extra maneuvering resulted in some small dust particles to settle on the screen, but there is no troubleshooting information on the installation document or video on how to cleanly lift the attached protector and remove the dust. I eventually managed to get under the protector and use the dust lifting tape to remove the dust particles.
- I was finally able to complete the installation, but there is one corner that won't adhere to the iPad screen regardless of how much I try to press down on that corner. Luckily, I also bought a silicon case that has a lip that envelopes the perimeter of the iPad. This helps to keep that section of the screen protector down, but only time will tell how long this protector will continue to adhere cleanly to the iPad.
Got this for the ipad 9.7 2018. With the support for Apple pencil, the probabilities of scratching the screen go up significantly, definitely helps to know that you have something protecting the screen when you consider Apple's screen repair costs! Had bought the Anker glass screen protector before this, but messed up the application because I was trying for perfection (Hint: don't). Both products are mostly comparable, but this one has two major adantages. The first is that it comes in a 2 pack version, which minimizes anxiety and monetary loss in case things go wrong (we all need second chances!). Two pack versions should be standard on such items.
The second advantage is that this screen protector, thankfully, does not have the front camera hole. Why is that good? Because it is frustratingly hard to align correctly when applying the screen protector. Also, this avoids dust and grime collecting in the tiny hole opening which is a pain to clean, with this screen protector, you can simply wipe and it's done! And no, the screen protector does not affect the picture quality of the front camera. In any case, the picture quality of the front camera is not that big of a deal on an iPad.
In case anyone is wondering, the Moko 2018/17 9.7 iPad case fits properly and the Apple pencil works correctly with the screen protector applied. The smoothness of the screen does increase, but not too much. In fact, I found the smoothness made the writing more enjoyable, although the precision does suffer slightly. So if you are a pro artist, then you might want to take that into consideration. Some pro artists apply matte screen protectors to gain more friction and control while drawing. However, matte screen protectors don't offer as much protection as glass tempered ones and they reduce the ipads screen color/image quality. Glass tempered screens do not do that. It all comes down to personal preference and what you are willing to live with. In a perfect world, you would have great protection, great control and great picture quality...but...yeah, exactly.
A few more points -
1. work in a low air flow and well lit environment so you can see the dust particles clearly
2. in the offical how to video, the hinge stickers are applied on short side of iPad, but it is better to apply the three stickers on the long side, the anker video uses this approach. Make sure the stickers stick tightly.
3. Before starting the process, test position the screen protector on the iPad just to get a feel for the correct placement.
4. Do NOT use the dry wipe, it spreads lint all over the screen, just use the wet wipe and microfiber cloth. Give a few seconds for the screen to dry after using the wet wipe.
5. make sure the red tab that helps to peel the adhesive layer from the screen protector is facing the right way.
6. Avoid perfection. A tiny bit off is OK.
Most of these points were gathered from other reviews, thanks to those who cared enough to share.
Overall, a good product, enjoy!
These screen protectors arrived in perfect condition. They are packaged well and include everything you need to install your new screen protector. That includes a wet cloth, dry cloth, dust collector (sticky paper), 3 screen alignment tape so you can line it up before removing the backing from the protector and a cleaning cloth to use as needed after installation. To be honest I throw those away since I use microfiber cloths that work perfectly. It was easy to put on and the bubbles cleared themselves out as the screen warmed up. Plus they state you can remove the screen and reapply if there are any problems underneath and they are absolutely correct. As I was lying down my screen protector something went under the protector and of course that doesn’t make for a flat seal so I removed it, cleared out the piece of dust, reapplied and it went on perfectly and with ease. The dust collector I mentioned above is what I used it worked great! I would recommend using the dust collector all over the screen before putting the protector down to ensure your screen is clear. I would recommend this seller as they stand behind their product. (I know from previous purchase) I would highly recommend this product if you want to protect your expensive purchase. Enjoy 😁

I just applied this product, so I can’t exactly speak to long term durability yet, but it seems to be made of the same quality of tempered glass that you might pay 3x as much for.
The glass fits my 9.7 iPad almost precisely, with the smallest bit of extra room around the edges (which is normal - other screen protectors leave even more room around the edges).
Installation was easy with a little patience. It comes with wet wipes, dry wipes, a microfiber cloth, “guide stickers” and a “dust absorber” (aka another sticker). I used the guide stickers to line up the protector, cleaned the iPad screen, peeled off the film and then laid the protector down. I accidentally dropped the protector a bit too quickly and had to peel it back up and realign. Consequently, I got debris stuck around the edges during the second application, BUT I was able to carefully use the dust absorber to remove those bits. I just gently peeled up the edges and stuck the sticker to the debris. Problem solved. And the little plastic card works well at removing bubbles.
I’m assuming this will do a good job at protecting my iPad screen from cracks because I’m bound to drop it face down on a few occassions. If it doesn’t hold up, I’ll update the review.
Great value for the quality of the product.
This is my first IPad (6th Gen), so I decided to purchase a thin glass protector for the screen. My intention was to use the glass protector with a disk stylus so I could draw and take notes. My first impression was that the glass protectors (two were included in the box) were well packaged in the vendor box. The contents were very well organized and protected. One item I immediately noticed was this screen protector DOES NOT have the top cutouts for the IPad front camera. In the end, it did not affect the camera or light sensor, but I wish it had the proper cutout.
The instructions sent you to a YouTube video which was slightly different than the written instructions, but the video was well made.
Installation was fairly easy. I installed the adhesive guides, wiped the screen with the wet wipe, then dried it thoroughly with the dry wipe. I then peeled back the protective adhesive layer, and flipped the glass on the IPad, smoothing the surface with a credit card to remove all of the bubbles.
The installation was free of any dust. I did do it in the bathroom immediately after a shower which helps to knock down airborne dust particles. Take your time to thoroughly clean the screen after the wet wipe and have good lighting to ensure zero dust particles when applying the glass cover.
Very easy installation, but I will say I installed it about a minute after taking the new iPad out of the box & removing the protective covering it's shipped with so the chances of fingerprints, dust, or oils to worry about were minimal. One very tiny air bubble that was easily removed with the tool provided. No pun intended, but the surface feels "smooth as glass" and the screen is just as responsive as if there was nothing covering it (my old iPad never had a screen protector & I notice no difference). I did not get an iPencil, so I cannot report any differences in sensitivity using one of those. Overall, a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to purchase from this company again, although I probably won't need to as I still have the second of the two in the package in reserve. Also, the screen protector does not impact use of a case.
I've only just installed this protective screen because the first package arrived with cracked glass. The seller sent me a second set of these, which was awesome. So far so good - but I can't comment on the product's longevity. Here is one suggestion during the install process that is not mentioned in their online video. Wipe the BACK SIDE of the protector - the side with the adhesive on it - before you peel off the adhesive and close the "hinge" glass down onto your device. Mine must have had a couple of bits of dust on that back side, such that when I peeled off the adhesive and laid the glass down, there were 3 dirt bubbles that wouldn't come out. I had to use the second protector to get it right.
Good protector. I got a bubble-free installation, touch sensitivity is good, and the iPencil works fine. It covers the front camera but that doesn't seem to make a difference for chat apps. I was skeptical of the guide stickers but it turns out they work fine to align the protector. Use them on the long edge and stick them well to both the protector and iPad.
As with all screen protectors, the screen needs to be scrupulously clean to make sure no dust is trapped underneath. This 2-pack is a good deal because you can try twice if some dust sneaks in. Also, I messed up my first installation by putting it in the case too fast and the corner came loose. Let the iPad sit overnight so the protector fully adheres to the screen and evens out, then put it in the case. It is compatible with a Fintie case (which I highly recommend).
