Rioddas External CD Drive, USB 3.0 Portable CD/DVD +/-RW Drive Slim DVD/CD ROM Rewriter Burner Compatible with Laptop Desktop PC Windows Linux OS Apple Mac(Black)

Simple, Fast, Easy. Plug the little thingy into your laptop, then a tiny box pops up asking which program you want to use to run this device with (purrsonally choose Windows Media Player). Push the button to open the Portable External Disk Drive, put the disk in, then close the disk drive and voilà~! CD's play automatically with zero issues and zero lag. No matter anyone else says... CD's are still the best, and since most new laptops do not have disk drives, this Portable External Disk Drive is a must! Own a few Computer Games which are on disks so, it will be nice to be able to play them again. No issues, fast delivery, purrfect condition. 5/5 Already recommended this to others!

I have ordered this for my own use, because I have a Chromebook with no DVD drive. This is exactly what I am looking for. It is small in size, light in weight and easy to install and use. I am very satisfied with my purchase. This product is very easy to use. I'm surprised how cheap it is because it works so well. Moreover, because of the failure of my computer's internal drive, this is a more cost-effective way to go. It is lightweight, easy to handle and performs as expected. The delivery date is earlier than the expected delivery date. Highly recommended. The installation is simple, clean and fine. Great product. It is a very good USB 3 DVD driver. This is a plug and play device. Just insert it into your system, and it will work. I have many old DVD, I want to see, this DVD drive really helps me. I tried it on Windows and Mac, and it is very good in two systems. I believe this is a great product.

I'm using this drive to rip my CD collection and after 100 I can say it's working well so far. This is better than the stock laptop drive I think.

I've got a couple of servers that don't have optical drives. This thing is just what I needed! Plugged into USB port and INSTANTLY saw the drive listed under computer. Nice addition of having the cable able to be stored away when not in use. I'd buy this again if I needed two... but it's so portable and handy, I probably won't need another around!

I bought this external drive because one I bought previously just wasn't working. The Rioddas External CD Drive works great. Starts right up when you close the drawer and does what it's supposed to do. Very pleased and would highly recommend.

I have a computer that does not have an internal CD Drive. I purchased this item so that I could copy music from my computer onto a CD. It works great for that. It turned out that I also had some DVD's of family stuff that I wanted to copy and send to my children. It worked great for that too. I couldn't be happier.

It's simple. It works. Highly recommended.

I ordered this external drive because my laptop does not have a cd drive. I wanted to purchase Turbotax but the download version was $15 more than the disk, go figure. Even though it would only be used occasionally, I decided to buy the external drive. I admit that I was a little skeptical about the fact that no additional software was required. A lot of times when you buy add on devices, you have to install additional software to make it work, NOT with this product. I plugged it into a USB port. It started up immediately. My PC recognized the drive. I inserted the Turbotax disk and the installation process started. I highly recommend this product.

I am very satisfied with and rather pleasantly surprised by this purchase. I bought it to rip CDs using dBpoweramp's CD Ripper software. That software is highly configurable and can take advantage of special features of drives (if they exist) to make very accurate, yet fast, rips. I was looking for a drive with high speed and the necessary features to support good dBpoweramp use, USB 3.0, a large number of Amazon reviews most of which are 5 stars, made by a well-known consumer electronics brand, for a reasonable price. However, after some searching, I don't believe that such a combination exists. I had never heard of Rioddas and would have been willing to pay significantly more than the $21.99 I paid for it had it been from a well-known brand. But now that I have used it successfully to rip problematic discs that my Samsung failed on, I am very impressed by it. It is not only fast but also rather quiet. The build quality of the case seems solid enough. I haven't had it long enough to be able to comment on its durability, but the apparent build quality is not significantly different from that of the above-mentioned Samsung. Incidentally, it seems that the core drive itself is made by Matshita (makes sense--the drive is a complex mechanism that few companies can make well) with Rioddas providing the case and perhaps integrating the external communications chips and ports.

Have used only once. Burned Windows 10 .ISO to Verbatim Inkjet Printable DVD+R 16x with USB-c adapter on MacBook Pro. Installed Win10 on hp Mini 110-3150DX. Neither PC has an internal CD/DVD reader. So far, it's worked one out of one time(s) - 100% successful! There's one functional tradeoff that I noticed immediately. The cable is a little short, but it stores neatly for travel.

The price for tech hardware today amazes me. I paid around $300 for a "quad speed" CD reader in the mid 1990s. That was a Sunday morning newspaper ad special price, so I had to get to the store early to take advantage of such a great bargain. Installing it was tricky. So, to get this far more advanced device for so little cost, and have it work on two different systems just by plugging it was quite a contrasting experience.
