Regan's Orange Bitters No. 6, 10 Ounces

Regan's Orange Bitters No. 6, 10 Ounces

It's the best orange bitters. Fee Brothers is good, but it's way orangey, and Angostura is good, but it's too Angostura-ey. I can't explain it well, but it makes an Old Fashioned the bestest.

I work in the bartending industry. I have for about 15 years. In all my years of crafting cocktails, it wasn't until the last few years I have updated my recipes to include flavored bitters aside from the traditional angostura bitters. Customers have been thrilled by the complimentary flavoring that the Regan's bitters has provided. I will no longer use anything else. I definitely recommend to use with any other drinks with complimentary flavoring. I have used in a few manhattens as well and all with excellent praise. Give it a try and see for yourself!

It's amazing how many beverages benefit from orange bitters, and Regan's is the best. We've tried most of the other brands, but this is the one we're going to stick with for our home bar. It's nice that they have a larger size, because it goes quickly in the summer when you're making pitchers of Sangria for the weekend.

I use this so much I bought a bigger bottle. I love using orange bitters in almost any Bourbon or Rye drink. Also not bad as an additive to certain vodka martini's. Regan's version is a little milder than the Angostura bitters.

I have mastered making bitters in various flavors but won't ever bother trying to replicate anything orange. A supposed recipe for Regan's Orange No. 6 is on the Internet but why try to make a big batch of something so good that's available as needed? My wife uses it in her family-famous Manhattans and we always add a few drops to Martinis. You'll find lots of other cocktail recipes and other food & beverages uses for it online too.

Description

Classic Regans orange bitters, perfect for your cocktail!

This is a very well crafted product. Even though it's just an accent in most drinks you really get a huge depth of flavor from it. Despite being pretty alcoholic stuff it's even fairly palatable straight up (not that I'd serve it that way, but I tasted a few sips in a shot glass just to get a feel for it.) On the nose the straight product has a nice fresh orange scent followed by the bitter herb aroma and the alcohol, tasting it straight the orange is fresh but subdued by bitters with some notes of a cloves and fennel and wood.

In my favorite application so far, the dry martini, it really ties the drink together and brings out the herbal notes in the gin in a very pleasing way. I'll no longer mix martinis without it.

In a completely different area of the kitchen I flavored some sweetened whipped cream with a squeeze of fresh orange juice, a bit of zest and a few heavy dashes orange bitters for a nice not-too-sweet complement for rich chocolate desserts.

This is one of the best orange bitters from one of the best names out there. Had a slight problem with the order, but the vendor made things right (thank you).

This is great stuff for you bar - for kicking up the flavor of various whiskey drinks, and great for better Cadillac Margaritas, Screwdrivers, and probably any mixed drink with OJ. Using only a few dashes per drink, it lasts quite a while so is cost effective. If you make the above drinks, you need it, buy it.

Hard to make a decent Manhattan OR Old Fashioned without a dash or two of Regan's Orange Bitters!

Perfect addition to all of your cocktails. Hats, Marts, Old Fashioned. Beats the others, hands down for flavor
