Nature's Eats Blanched Almond Flour, 32 Ounce

Nature's Eats Blanched Almond Flour, 32 Ounce

Love this product! I need to keep my sugars low and this allows me to continue to enjoy baked goods that double as meals.

A favorite quick and easy crowd pleasing low-carb keto-friendly recipe I created with this product is a skillet shortcake. I'm not big on measuring, so these are all estimates... adjust to your liking.

1. Put 2 Tbsp butter (or use ghee, if you have it) in a skillet and heat to medium heat.
2. Melt butter in microwave (3 Tbsp), then whisk in rest of ingredients in this order:
1/2 cup Splenda (or equivalent sweetness of low-glycemic not-sugar of your choice),
1/2 tsp vanilla extract,
1/2 tsp almond extract,
1/3 cup full-fat sour cream,
2 eggs
2/3 cup Blanched Almond Flour
3. When the mixture is about the consistency of thick pancake batter (reminds me of cornbread batter), pour into hot buttered skillet and smooth it out with back of your spoon so it lies evenly in shape of a giant pancake.
4. When it looks like only the top is still "wet" then slide it onto a plate. Cover with the skillet and carefully invert them together so the other side of the cake is now facing down on the hot pan.
5. Let it finish cooking briefly.
6. Slice and enjoy.

We love this smeared with slightly sweetened cream cheese/vanilla combo (make your own so you don't have sugar in it) and chopped fresh strawberries on it. Or, melt some sugar-free chocolate chips and spread on it for a soft biscotti type treat.

I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes while pregnant so regular flour isn’t going to work for me. I bought this on a whim to make some cookies and was very impressed! Good almond taste that isn’t overpowering in baking and it’s very fine, which makes it very similar to regular flour (my husband hasn’t noticed). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a flour alternative with some extra health benefits!

After starting the keto lifestyle, I needed a product that would allow for me to have my bread fix if needed. Almond flour/meal is one of those things. I used it to make keto biscuits and it works great for what it is. Looking forward to the other recipes I can make.

This is a great tasting and reliable brand of almond flour; it also happens to be one of the best buys of almond flour price per pound on Amazon.
The finish is very fine and perfect for cakes, cookies, breads (or any keto recipe really). I have been ordering this product continuously for the last six months and each batch purchased has not disappointed.

This almond flour is affordable and pretty good quality and you get a large amount for the price. The price on amazon is comparable to the price at my Walmart grocery. I’ve made many Keto mug cakes and one full size cake with this flour and they’ve turned out just fine. I took off one star because I do like the Bob’s Red Mill brand just a little better as it has a bit finer texture. But you get less of that brand in their bag. For this price, this product is a good value and I would not hesitate to purchase it again.

Description

Almond flour or almond meal is a grain free our that is wonderful for baking. Friendly for gluten, wheat and grain free diets, almond flour is also lower in carbs and higher in protein, which makes it a healthier our choice. Use it to make gluten free crackers, breads, cookies, and donuts, or as a breading for vegetables and meats.

Coupled this with Walden Farms Pancake Syrup, it makes for delicious pancakes.

It turned out so good, here's my made-from-scratch recipe:
1 egg, 4oz almond flour, 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed, 1/4th tablespoon Hershey's cocoa powder, 2oz water, 1 tablespoon erythritol , 1/2 tablespoon shredded coconut, pinch baking powder, half a drop imitation rum. Mix it all together with a whisk in a bowl, then pour some into a hot pan and make some pancakes!

This recipe made 4 relatively small pancakes. If you're cooking for 2 people, just double it and you can make some larger pancakes.

High quality, fine almond flour. We use this for pancakes, less than 1g of carbs each. Try this recipe:
3/4 c. almond flour
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
4 large eggs
1 tsp. lemon zest
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
Butter, for frying and serving

Amazing flavor. Made keto pizza crust with it it was perfect!

My primary use for almond flour is for low-carb cooking.

This, in combination with coconut flour, can often be a worthy proxy for wheat flour. Honestly, it's never going to replace our glutenous friend, but with creativity and determination, you can certainly craft some tasty creations.
In my case, I most often use this for pancakes and muffins/cakes. It helps to keep me sane on those off days when I have cravings for non-keto goodies.

This product offered by Amazon arrives in perfect condition, and it just makes sense to buy it in bulk. The price here is about the same as one would pay in a supermarket for about a quarter of the amount. It's hard to beat this deal.

I bought this almond flour to make keto bread and I'm really pleased with the quality. The bread came out of the oven tasting delicious. Some people comment receiving expired flour but that wasn't my case, the bag expires in 2020 and the smell of the flour is fresh and enticing. Will buy again for sure.
