Milliard Citric Acid 5 Pound - 100% Pure Food Grade NON-GMO Project VERIFIED (5 Pound)

Milliard Citric Acid 5 Pound - 100% Pure Food Grade NON-GMO Project VERIFIED (5 Pound)

This is more granular than some of the citric acids I've bought on here. Kind of like generic powdered lemonade. However I use it for the dishwasher and my HE laundry and this stuff has changed my life for the better. However, if I was making bath bombs I'd want finer grain.UPDATE: The seller saw my 3 star review and reached out proactively to tell me the bag I got while not compromised in quality was a bigger grain that they usually sent and they were sending me another bag for free. When I got the new bag, it was the much finer grain that we are all used to in Citric Acid. So kudos to the seller for reaching out and admitting the mistake.

This stuff is amazing for cleaning! I use a mix of this in hot water, dissolve and add hydrogen peroxide and spray on my tub scrum and hard water or mineral deposits. Then i leave the room and have the fan going the whole time. All you need is a wash cloth after that to remove the gummy grey buildup from the bottom of your tub, the walls etc. It's the only thing that works for an acrylic tub that won't scratch or ruin it. Then I use some automotive wax to seal the tub again and rain x on the walls... This works to prevent build up for about two months. Soapy washcloths can manage in between.

Now, for an insane cleaning tip. Use 1 tsp to two tsp of this in addition to your regular dishwasher detergent and watch hard water scum disappear from your dishes and washer forever. Use an eco friendly detergent and you won't need to fear residue on your dishes and glasses again. I thought my dishwasher was a piece of junk and didn't use it for a few years before I tried adding this. The dishes always came out dirty and filmy and awful without the citric acid. I gave up trying different cleaners and hand washed everything...very laborious.
Now I can use my dishwasher again with great results. My glasses are so clear!

Citric acid is my go to for cleaning, but wear gloves and have good ventilation for the hydrogen peroxide mix i mentioned.

I like this brand because it's food safe and I can also use it in canning and to add to food stuffs or sub for lemon juice in some cases.

It was everything I needed. It was perfect for the bath bombs I made. They were AMAZING. Here is a photo of the bath bombs I maybe with this product.

I use this when canning tomatoes and sauce, but lately we use it daily for prevention of kidney stones. A small amount mixed in a drink or put in an empty capsule, dissolve kidney stones and keep them from recurring. My son had surgery scheduled as a last resort after months of agony, frequent trips to the emergency room and seeing a specialist. I researched natural cures over the weekend before his surgery, got him started on citric acid, magnesium and B vitamins and his pain was gone by Monday, surgery canceled! Has been a year now, and NO PAIN!!!

This is the first bag I purchased from Milliard.
I just purchased my second bag today.
I am hoping the quality is just as good as this one was.
The granulates are of the perfect consistency and mixes very well with baking soda.
It comes in a resealable bag and is very easy to dispense from.
The bottom is pleated and stands up until the end.
I'm not sure if this is a good price or not because after receiving this bag and being happy with the results
I haven't looked anywhere else.
So fingers crossed the next bag i get tomorrow will be the same quality/quantity.

I am happy I purchased Milliard citric acid. Not only do I use it for descaling, washing machine & dishwasher, and toilet cleaning, I also use it for cleaning fresh produce of all kinds. When one considers the cost of already made similar products, using citric acid is by far extremely economical and safe. No added ingredients, no dangerous chemicals. Just good old citric acid & water. It is amazing how my produce stays fresh way longer; I no longer throw out spoiled fruit/vegetables, thus saving more money. One extra thing to do when washing produce is to remember to always add the produce container to the mixture (no more bad things in/on the container). 1.) One teaspoon per quart of water in non-metallic bowl, 2.) stir until dissolved, 3.) rinse the produce with water, 4.) dump product & container into the mixture, 5.) let stand for 10-15 minutes, 6.) drain in strainer & shake off excess water, 7.) lay produce & container on a towel until relatively dry (could be 15-90 minutes depending on type of produce), 8.) return produce to container (might need paper toweling to soak up extra liquid) and refrigerate, if necessary. In between all the waiting time, I get other things done (I also set a timer as reminders....otherwise I'll go my merry way which is called ARAADS (Age Related Adult Attention Deficit Disorder). Make sure to remember why the timer is beeping!!!

We have very hard water, and when the dishwasher detergent companies took out the phosphorus in their products, it left our dishes with a white spotted film all over them. I researched and found a product called Lemi-shine. It worked but was very expensive to use on a regular basis. I researched a little more and found that it was just a citrus-derived acid. So adding a tablespoon of citric acid to our dishwasher at each load does the same thing. I buy it here on Amazon because it is the least expensive. This brand in more fine than the Spicy World brand which makes for easier pouring and is slightly less expensive. I thought about buying a chemical grade, but thought for dishes food grade is more appropriate. Works like a charm and my dishes are sparkling clean again!

My husband James and I purchased a 5 lb. bag, and were very pleased to see that the citric acid came in a heavy-duty re-sealable bag. We use this stuff to make bath bombs, like the kind you can purchase at LUSH. The granules were a nice small size to mix in with our other ingredients: baking soda, essential oil, and sweet almond oil. Perfect granule size for mixing. Dissolves completely when placed in water. It's potent! A quick reaction fizzing time - not soggy or slow at all. A great quality product that we'll purchase again when we run out. Also a reasonable price for the quantity!

This is THE BEST product for removing hard water scale, lime, calcium or soap scum!!

What tipped me off ( other than previous reviews?) I read the Active Ingredient list on COMET liquid cleaner and it is 9% Citric Acid, and 91% inert ingredients!!! And it costs FORTUNE for a few cents worth of citric acid!!!! I had found that COMET worked best on my water issues.

So I bought this, and using the empty spray bottle from the Comet, I mixed my own...about 1/4 citric acid powder and 3/4 water, shake well, and voila...a CHEAP cleaner that works rings around ANYTHING else I've purchased. It makes my white enamel kitchen sink SHINE, and it eats away ANYTHING in the shower. I keep a bottle handy and spray once a week...NO MORE SCRUBBING.

Smells great too. Another revelation??? LYSOL cleaner in the spray bottle is LACTIC ACID, and just a tiny percent. It makes you sick to see what they charge for a penny's worth of citric acid or lactic acid ( which I think is from milk). And Febreze the wonder deodorizer?!?!? CORN and alcohol and scent. What a ripoff!!!!

You only need a little bit to mix ...my bag will last for years!

I've started making my very own bath bombs from home and not being able to find citric acid anywhere was a big let down for me. I tried to use cream of tartar instead of citric acid and it DID NOT WORK! Cream of tartar comes in a little seasoning bottle from my local Walmart for $6.00 for that you should just buy this product and save money. I was basically only able to make 3 bath bombs with the cream of tartar seasoning bottle. This citric acid does the job when making bath bombs. It gives your bath bomb a very nice fizz in your bath tub just like the lush bath bombs!
