Lindt is a great chocolate bar, but one should be wary of which Lindt bar you choose if you are also seeking the health benefits of eating chocolate.
If you buy the 70% or 85% bar, then you are safe. They do not use the dutching process (use of an alkalizing agent to process cocoa) for these two products. However, Lindt uses the dutching process for the 90% bar, so beware. This process unfortunately takes many of the flavonoids out of the chocolate, deleting the antioxidant ability it might have had. I have also heard bad things about the soya lecithin they use (interrupts testosterone production) but this may just be a rumor or an over-dramatization of its effect.
Therefore, stick with the 70% or the 85% bar if you want the health benefits of eating this chocolate. And, believe me, Lindt is the way to go for this benefit, since these bars taste great, and they are some of the cheaper quality bars on the market. Don’t get me wrong, they are not gourmet chocolate bars, but they are quite good, and they also preserve most of the health benefits too.
I don't usually post reviews and this one is more for Amazon than the product, because if you're buying it, you already know how good it is. It's early spring and it's starting to get HOT. They shipped it in a box fully encapsulating the Lindt with foam and Polar Tech refrigerant packs to keep it from melting! I am truly touched by the attention to detail. Well done.

I love Lindor truffles, and I just ordered them in June in Florida, Amazon shipped them with ice packs! They were cool on arrival, thank you Amazon, I am thoroughly pleased!
Let me start by saying this is already the second time I've ordered these chocolates and I do not regret either purchase. I am absolutely in love with these chocolates! I can personally say these arrived not only on time but they were very well packaged. It is currently the cold season which is around when I usually order them since I read during the hot season they are shipped with ice packs. So no I've packs needed and I didn't have to worry about them melting so that's a plus for me. They were not crushed and they weren't spoiled either, they actually have 8 more months before they expire which is 8 months from when this review is being posted. They did not have an outer white layer as others have complained about. So it's hard to depict which reviews are real and which reviews are competitors or just plain people who want free candy or a refund. Kinda sad I would happily spend more of my hard earned money on these candies and I did, almost 40$ worth every time I order these. Expect me to come back and review next year these are simply fantastic!!

This is exactly what I was looking for! An ultra dark chocolate with only one gram of sugar for the whole bar. It comes with small square indents in the chocolate, which make it easy to break apart for a small serving.
As for the candy itself... the truffles are delicious. The chocolate covers are pretty and the interiors of the truffles are creamy and wonderful. Exactly the quality one would expect from Lindt.
The weight of the candy in this box is clearly stated in the product description. There is a photo showing the size of the box and another showing what the truffles look like. Some folks might have a good idea of what 7.3 oz. of chocolate truffles works out to be in terms of mouthfuls of candy. Other's however might rely more on the photos. The photos of the closed box and the truffles are a bit misleading. When the box is opened, one will find that there is about a 1 inch border around the actual candy. Hence, the box has a good deal of empty space. The photos of the truffles shows 17 truffles. If one checks the photo of the nutritional data (Who cares about the nutritional data for candy?) It gives the serving size as 2 truffles. It then claims that there are "about" 7 servings in the box. The fact is that there are 13 truffles in each box. The number of truffles does not vary requiring the "about" 7 servings claim. The inside of the box contains a plastic tray that has molded spaces for 13 truffles. Every box contains 13 truffles. Perhaps Amazon should consider including a photo of the interior of the box so that shoppers can have a better idea of just what they are buying.
Tastes great and is gluten free, dairy free, and soy free (may contain traces). Eat about 4 pieces a day of the 85% dark chocolate, great way to get healthy fats and may help regulate gut flora, cardiovascular health, cognitive function, etc.
But do keep in mind that dark chocolate contains caffeine. According to the Lindt website, their dark chocolate contains about 20mg per 1 oz, or around 70mg per bar. So, if you are sensitive to caffeine, would avoid eating this at night. Would be nice if Lindt could print an exact caffeine amount on the packaging.
Absolutely Excellent! Have re-ordered several times over the years and probably will continue BUT Amazon will not ship to me now in Florida during the summer due to the FL heat. (they have a very low melting point & must be kept refrigerated at least in FL) First several shipments came in these great heavily insulated boxes with freezer ice packs (which i still use!) but not any more thus the no ship in summer now. Have found the same bars at Walmart for a few cents more per bar one by one so may just start buying them there as need be instead of a whole box at a time from Amazon. Can't beat the quality & flavor of the Lindt 90% Cocoa bars though. High cocoa content & low sugar is Extremely healthy for you too although if you're used to "sweet" chocolate you'll likely find these rather bitter. I break these into "bits" & mix 50/50 with Ghirardelli 60% Cacao chocolate drops for a Great bittersweet taste combo at bed time. These bars are well named as "Excellence". Highly recommend
I am delighted with these chocolates. I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but have found that it makes a very nice treat every now and then. I used to stick to Godiva, but their chocolate is very overpriced for what you get -- the extra $ never seemed worth it. So I switched to See's, which is much more down to earth. However, that also means that their chocolate is kind of boring. I took a chance on these. I don't like chocolate enough to shell out the big bucks, so this was an affordable option. I have never had Lindt before and din't know what to expect. Turns out I loved them. I ordered in winter, so didn't have to worry about the whole melting issue. The chocolates were in perfect condition when they arrived and were so pretty I almost didn't want to eat them. I loved that they were on the smaller size -- big enough that it took me a few bites to eat them, but small enough that I could eat 2 at 1 time, which is about my sugar limit for 1 sitting (no sweet tooth, here). I loved that they were so different, both from each other and from chocolates I have had before. I would definitely get these again.
