The taste is great, they cook in 60 seconds and are make with lots of good things in them and have 10 grams of Protein. However if buying on Amazon check your prices well or you may end up paying to much. I bought 12 for $20.00 which is a good price. However in looking I also saw them priced very high. If the the price comes out to more than $2.00 each keep looking for better price. Mean while for under $2.00 each they are a great quick breakfast or snack.
Tastes delicious. Great snack. My only reason for giving it a 4 is for my following suggestion.. There should be a "fill up to here" line. Only because on a couple of occasions ive mistakenly put too much water (as I'm at work and can't get an exact measurement) and it then becomes a pile of mush. But on the times I've successfully measured the water .. Its absolutely amazing!
These power cakes are really too tasty to have around the house. It's so easy to have one of these as a snack, and then have another. They're not exceptionally filling, but so, so tasty. I'm trying to determine if I can take these backpacking and use boiling hot water and my cozy to cause the mix to form into a pancake, because the instructions call for the item to be put in the microwave for one minute.
Just got these yesterday and had one for breakfast. It was quite good! You add 1/4 cup of water to it, stir it around, then nuke it for a minute. What you get is more like a cupcake, but it's pancake-with-syrup flavored. It's got 10g of protein and 3g of fiber in one cup, and 250 calories. It's got 7g of fat, 4.5g saturated. So maybe it's not the healthiest thing you could possibly have for breakfast, but it's pretty good and fairly filling. I can probably hold off on snacking for a few more hours.
I first had one of these at my sister's house (health & fitness nut). I thought it was odd to have a pancake in a cup, but this is really good!! I like that it's boosted with the protein. The taste is great - not overly sweet at all. Paired with high protein yogurt, this made for a great filling breakfast.

Big fan! Recently discovered this brand as recommendation from a couple coworkers. I like any product that’s quick, easy, delicious, and packed with protein. So far, I’ve tried Kodiak Kakes frozen waffles (not purchased on amazon) and have ordered another flavor of the flapjack cups. Good snack or breakfast item. I like adding protein powder to them sometimes to make them more filling.
Sometimes, I forget to pack a healthy breakfast to take to work. When that happens, I grab one of these. They're so easy to prepare. Just add 1/4 cup water, stir, and microwave. It takes about 1:30 in the small microwave at work. They taste great and need no additional toppings, though I think they'd be great with fresh fruit! They remind me of a big, fluffy pancake muffin. I lift weights, so I love the extra protein!
I buy another brand of muffins (peanut butter and peanut butter & chocolate flavored) that I love and stumbled on these to add another flavor. These are great. Taste great and are reasonably filling. Little high in sugar but not too bad. Will definitely buy again (and again).
FYI - bought the Buttermilk & Maple and haven't tried any of the others. Cinnamon is probably next.
2 things I get a hankerin' for sometimes, pancakes and pizza. This can help with the first.
So far so good. Cooked 9 seconds on a fairly high power microwave. Seems like it continues to cook even after it's removed from the microwave so wait a minute or two or even 4 for the full flavor and doneness really required for pancakes. It will seem a little not-quite-done but that is because it doesn't get to brown like pancakes do in a pan. I can satisfy a pancake craving when you don't have time to clean up after making pancakes. Unhealthy tip: adding a little butter doubles the taste enjoyment. Now if we could get a whole grain and healthy pizza-in-a-cup that would be great.
I highly recommend making this with milk instead of water. Stir thoroughly with a fork until most of the chunks are gone, trust me, worth the extra 20 seconds. Also, start out with 60 seconds and add on from there. Everyone's microwave is different and some might require a few extra seconds, look for wet spots on the top that indicate the middle will also be goopy/doughy and go from there.. it's NOT the manufacturers fault that you undercooked their product and don't like the result.
The texture is NOT going to be like a regular Aunt J pancake. It's a little gritty because of the natural ingredients but most of us are aware that there is a difference between big name store bought preservative packed pancake mix and limited ingredient natural pankcake mix with added protein. So if you're "texture" sensitive this isn't for you.
