Like brand new! This tablet is working great on ios 12! I got this as a replacement for my Shield tablet. That thing lagged like crazy and was unusable. I love android but it runs like trash on every tablet I ever used no matter how powerful it was. Also ios has some great media and music creation tools so I'm very happy. I get a small stutter of hitch once in a while but nothing worth spending more money on a new iPad. I tried the 2018, and the pro and the performance isn't so much better for me that I would fork up the cash. I think this is the holy grail iPad when it comes to price vs. performance! I had no scratches or dings on the tablet. Sound is loud but not great. You may want some headphones for music and movies if you care about sound a lot. I don't care about the camera. All in all this is a steal. I decided on one of these after using my girlfriend's iPad air. Way better than the Shield Tablet. That tablet always locked up and refused to respond. Buy this in 2018!!!
Purchased the 64gb gold one. Fired it up and immediately had a battery issue. Hardware related, no fault of the battery itself. Emailed the retailer and within 6 hours received a response and after giving my order number, got a shipping label, and item is on way back for refund. In the meantime I purchased another one to replace it, and this unit has been flawless so far. No scratches on either one, had no issues updating it, or anything else so far. I will update this if I have an issue with getting the refund on the first one. Would I purchase again? So far, yes.
I've added some photos which show how the package arrived. When using it, you will not know if it is refurbished or new. There was no scratches anywhere and I got setup and using it in no time. I am extremely happy I opted for a certified refurb and did not have to pay $700 + tax (so prolly $780) and instead got the exact same product for $500 (no tax charged). I now have extra money to buy a nice case/cover for this iPad.
One thing that I noticed is this iPad was on IOS 8 so I upgraded it to 9. No biggie.
Very impressed with Apple's newest offering. It is super fast and the included TouchID makes a lot of difference when buying stuff from App Store.
Excellent quality, fast shipping, great product! I wanted a new iPad Air 2 or a iPad Pro. Tempted to go with the Pro, but thought it was more than I needed. Found this refurb Air 2 at a great price, and couldn't justify spending $800-$1,000 on the Pro when the Air 2 refurb was under $300. Too good a deal to pass up. Almost a week in with it so far. Just like new. No physical anomalies indicating it was a refurb, and functionally it is as new. Couldn't be happier.
I am always a little hesitant about buying refurbished, but I am very pleased with my purchase, the 64gb iPad Air 2 came from PLATINUM DEALS, and it looks just like new, no scratches or dings on it anywhere, a scratch or ding would not have been a problem since I always use a case, for my expensive phones and tablets., it also came with a charger and cord, I am very pleased with the price of the product as Apple wanted almost $200 more for the same product. I would buy from PLATINUM DEALS again!
I had to add to this, because I purchased a second certified refurbished iPad Air 2 64GB, for a flight simulator project, and the second one was just like the first, very good condition, you would never know that it was refurbished, I did have some issues updating the IOS to ver 12.1.4 , but I believe that was due to operator error, I did get the 2nd one updated and so far everything is working great.

My iPad Air 2 arrived right on time, well packaged in what looks like an original heavy duty cardboard carton. I had a problem right off the bat because the charger that was included started heating up within 2-3 minutes and by about 5 minutes, made a popping sound and quit working. BUT! I contacted the seller and within 2 days I had a replacement charger and cord, despite him having to ship from the east coast in one of their shut-everything-down serial blizzards this spring. In the mean time, I'd charged it with my iPhone cord, which probably isn't good for habitual use, but worked in a pinch. The iPad works great, I'm really happy I didn't spend 2 or 3 x's the price for a new one.
Purchased a second IPAD to primarily use for my drone control screen. I would have accepted some nominal wear on a refurbished model but the unit I received was flawless. Was pleasantly surprised when I booted up the unit it detected my nearby ipad and with a few minimal steps was already loading up. What I didnt expect was that Ipad Air 2 also updated to the most current IOS (11.4.1) after start up. I didnt expect this unit to also have the sim card slot for cellular but this one did. A quick trip to my Verizon store to get the right size sim and I was easily able to replace my android tablet with this one. Excellent condition, latest IOS, and now LTE connectivity made this purchase go beyond my expectations.
I was a bit skeptic ordering a refurbished apple device. I grew up with parents who absolutely refused to buy pre-owned or even certified refurbished products. I ordered a cert. refurbished Iphone 6 plus a while ago to prove them wrong. It came in mint condition and Ive had my iphone for a year with no problems. Now the exact same can be said with this iPad, it came with no scratches. It had a huge black sticker skin thus reinforcing the fact it was preowned but I ignored it, it works like my previous iPad. -1 because the seller did not include the original Charger and cables. People keep complaining their devices stop working in the reviews and thats becuase theyre most likely using the 3rd party chargers the seller included. On a serious note, buy a real apple charger and play it safe.
We took my son's old iPad to get diagnostics and repair. It would have taken 2-3 days for diagnostics and the screen replacement alone would have been $299. We ordered this from my phone in the parking lot of the repair shop and had it delivered the same day for less than the cost of a new screen professionally installed. It's perfect. I would highly recommend!!
I needed a replacement for a aging Ipad2. This was the most cost effective replacement (wifi and cellular) with adequate memory 64gb that I could find. It arrived as advertised. Only gripe was difficulty opening the sim slot, it was pretty stiff. Once opened it took a nano sim card, which was part of my old micro sim card, just had to pop it out. Called Cellular and the new ipad was activated w/o any problem. The display was excellent as expected and it was much faster than my old ipad. Update to latest OS 11.1 proceeded w/o problem (old I pad OS was no longer being supported.). All in all, at least so far, I am very happy with this product.
