This Server came in a very well packed package. I opened it and to my surprise it was very clean and don't even look like used even the fans looked brand new. I installed vmware hypervisor (free version of ESXi) in it with 4 hdd in raid 1+0 mode. I am running 3 virtual computer and it seems to run very good and the processors are not struggling at all. Noise is not that high either and runs pretty cool. I want to install some SSD in it and update this post.
Update: plugged in 4 ssd replasing the SAS drives that came with it. Works great in raid 1+0 no firmware issue or any thing.
Overall very happy will buy one more as soon as I have some more cash.
Needed a new server to replace my aging ESXi host. I have about 6 VM's running at all times and this doesn't even break a sweat. Power consumption is surprisingly low for what it is.
I ordered from Stallion Teck and had an issue with the 1st unit sent and they worked with me to have it swapped with a different system in 3 days. Kudos to them. QC may be slightly lacking, but these are several generations old now so don't expect "like new".
