Honestly I didn't expect much. Yet, I was extremely surprised. Ultra surprised. The kind of surprised that I would almost start a Youtube channel just to post a video about the computer surprised. Lets start step by step. It came on time, 2 day Amazon Prime shipping, check. The packaging? I'd actually be kind of amazed if something would of happened to the computer, extremely protective packaging, a big box, then lots of protective paper on the inside sorrounding another box, and inside that box, this air chamber panel buffer case sorrounding the computer, computer safe, check.
Extra: mouse and keyboard, already had my own but it's really nice of them to spend a spare just in case.
Included: Power plug.
Included: Operating system. Really? Yup. Windows 10 with upgrade.
Performance: Outstanding. Might not have the newst specs, a wi fi card, a massive shard drive storage, killer graphics video card, etc. But you'd be extremely surprised how well this computer performs. Which is no big deal, ethernet card is great, and the 256 storage is more than enough especially living in a world where most things are on the cloud anyways. Their is nothing bad I can say about this computer in any sense. Even comparing it to more updated models.
Awesome extra: I hadn't connected the speakers yet, but when Windows turned on I heard a chime kind of sound. Would you beleive it, the computer actually came with a built in speaker, okay okay, it's not great by any means, but it's a speaker, and to me that was really kind of cool.
Finishing up with this, this company I bought from, is great. I mean really great, makes me want to scour through all their inventory of compuers and laptops even though I don't need one right now, and tell my friends about it kind of great.
It arrived in a box that was way too big - I think this was Amazon, not them. Amazon didn't put any packing material to fill in so the interior box slid around like mad inside the Amazon box. However, the box from the company was very very well packed, so I am sure that helped.
I unpacked and heard a rattle as I was setting up. I opened it up and there was a piece that fell out (photo) and I have no idea what that is? But it doesn't seem to be causing an issue - So Far....
4GB of RAM is really slow, but I will upgrade it when I get a chance. I despise Win10, so the 7 Pro is really nice... Sometimes "Oldie but Goodie" is really what you need. I will be using this mostly for book editing, so I don't need anything truly fancy. I also do customer service at home and it seems to work well for that so far. Again, updating the RAM will help there.
The SFF is wonderful. It is sitting on one end of my desk with my printer on top, It makes it really easy to get to the USB ports (four on the front, more on the back... I can plug in my tablet and my headphones very easily and that is awesome.) That is one of the reasons I got this machine - the USB ports to fit my needs.
Overall, so far it is working great and seems to be a really good investment.
Received from Seller:
"Thank you for your order --- That is a jumper, used when putting a BIOS password on the motherboard --- that actually may not have even come off of your machine, it may have fallen into the box during packing. Sorry for the confusion, it not being there will have no impact at all on your machine or it's performance. Thanks for taking the time to review our product as well."
So,. there ya go!
booted up right away. comes with mozilla pre installed. i like the windows 7 pro. could use a hdmi port, but there's a displayport. 4 gig ram is good enough to do pretty much everything you need. I'm using it to check emails and stream videos and it's perfect.
for around 100 bucks, it's hard to beat.
Seem's OK , everything work's !!!
Except it took up all 4 memory slot's with 1 GB's ?????
So if I want up to upgrade memory I will have to buy all new !!!!
They could have put in 2 2GB and left 2 slot's open !!!!!!
I wasn't happy when I realized it had Windows 10 pro 64 bit on it. I wanted Windows 7 64 bit. That being said, I discovered I don't hate Windows 10 as much as I thought I would. Probably because of all the wars I had with Windows 7 over ownership. This seems to take me claiming ownership better. Plus I know my Android phone and Android tablet and how they work so Windows 10 makes sense to me but with more control than the Androids. And that has nothing to do with the computer itself just the OS [don't confuse the two].
The computer runs like a champ. Extremely quiet. I had no problem opening her up, I wish all cases were that easy. Pull the lever and the top pops right off. The inside is cramped. But considering how little room she takes up, that's to be expected. Getting to the slot for my second hard drive was a breeze. It's right under the DVD. Simply press down on the foot and up it come when you pull. I put in a 1 Tb harddrive. She started up told me she found the drive, listed it, and asked if this set up was okay. I told it yes, it started up without a hitch. To get rid of the old Windows 7 files, I formatted. Delete won't work. She wants me to have ownership of them so I bypassed it and formatted since Windows 7 had crashed and had to be reinstalled wiping out my drive. [thank the computer gods for Crashplan]. More than enough slots. 4 on the front makes it really nice. It also has microphone and speakers/headphones standard plug ins in the front. My only complaint is the position that HP chose for the start button. They should have just put the HP symbol on it, instead it blends in perfectly with the cover and for my older eyes was a bit hard to see but once I learn the position, there will be no problem.
The only faults is I can't put the second DVD/CD Read Write Drive in because of the space. The second hard drive was my choice. I will probably get a drive case for my others and convert the second DVD to external.

Got it for a family member who's system crashed and need a new setup asap..and couldn't afford a new system. Working fine and faster than I thought. They are please the a clean/fast system. Only took minutes to get it going. Keyboard and mouse are actually very good quality..pleased...
Got this machine today. First thing, the DVD wouldn't open. Not a big deal, I have more. Replaced it and all is fine. I installed the 1.5 terabyte drive from my old computer, and it works fine, and I still have all my files. So far, nice machine, can't believe the low price. Paid $1500 for a Gateway years ago. This is so much more machine for a lot less money.
Juts purchased this a week ago. It arrived on time and well packaged. Very easy to set up. Just plugged in set up was easy and was ready to go in less than 1hr. Came with Windows 10 installed. I use it for my crafting. I keep all my files (images, pdf patterns, ebooks and magazines) in external hard drives and use the PC for my computer programs to do my digital scrap booking. It's perfect for my needs. I hope it lasts me for a while, my last PC the hard drive died after 4 yrs of use but it was my fault for not maintaining it properly and a lot of dust got inside the PC and damaged it. That's one mistake I won't be making again.
I am very satisfied with my purchase. The computer works as advertised and the shipping was fast. I purchased this computer for my grandma and it is perfect for browsing the web and using email. If you or you know someone that is looking for an affordable desktop computer that will be used for office work and general light usage I would recommend this PC. I found it weird that I had to us an adapter for the 9-pin cable to work with a monitor. If you look at my photo it shows I have a different back. This hasn't effected the computer at all. I just thought it was strange.
For the price, this is great! I replaced an old pentium computer for my mother-in-law. She only need it to browse in the internet, retrieve emails and Facebook so this is perfect for that. It is a lot faster than the old heavy pentium computer with windows XP.
