Got this to connect my Lowrance Hook 5 to my Minnkota Fortrex that I bought used. At first I was getting feedback where my screen quit working when I hit the power button on the motor (not that this is a problem with this adapter and more with the trolling motor) but once I separated (rerouted/moved) the transducer cable from the motor power cables that problem stopped. Another way to say the same thing is the cable for the transducer is not laying and running right beside the trolling motor power cord.
I have upgraded Lowrance units and this also works with my Hook 7 as well as my Hook 9 if I want to put it at the front of the boat. If your MinnKota has the factory built in transducer and your using Lowrance electronics this adapter gets my recommendation
I needed this to connect my Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor US2 built in transducer to my Lowrance HDS-7. It's shorten length is perfect because the length of the cable coming from the motor is more than adequate to make the connection. The connector seems like a tight fit, but works fine. I was also able to run both my fish finders at the same time by just using 83khz on one and 200khz on the other without any interference.
Fantastic device to link your US2 trolling motor to your fish finder. Don't expect DSI or side imaging to work. All you get is the usual old school visual. That being said, I use it as my secondary fish finder when trolling the banks. Couldn't be happier.
I am connecting from a Minn Kota Terrova 80 / i - Pilot 24V Trolling Motor with US2 and Foot Pedal to a Lowrance ELITE-4X HDI Fishfinder without Transducer. Although the Minn Kota web site lists MinnKota US2 Adaptor Cable Lowrance 6 Pin as the required cable, in fact the correct cable is this cable being reviewed (MKR-US2-10).
I have contacted Minn Kota customer service and told them of the error. They indicate that they will correct the information on the web site (Universal Sonar Compatibility Chart). I have added a picture of the back of the Elite-4X for reference. This cable uses the blue connector in the picture.
The cable I received was an OEM Minn Kota cable in Minn Kota packaging. The connector quality is high and it connected to MinnKota MKR-US2-11 Extension Cable for US2 Motors without issue. I am getting a good signal on my Lowrance fish finder, so everything seems to be working well together.
Fits my Lowrance elite or Lowrance hook depth finders so they can use the transducer built into a Minn Kota auto pilot. Works as advertised.

Worked like a champ. BUT -- when researching for the right cable for your rig, go by the PICTURE of the plug, NOT the model of your sonar. The cross-reference listing by model is wrong in a few places. Look at the picture of the plug and match it to your sonar!!!!!
Very happy with this. Hooked it up in no time and working properly.
I am now able to take the old transducer off the trolling motor and get rid of the unnecssary cables running down the side of the shaft. This is essential for running my new Terrova in spot lock mode. Very happy with the purchase.

This product does what it's supposed to do. The only negative is that the connector to the sonar unit doesn't have a weatherproof cover to protect it when it's not in use.
