Bought this bouquet of flowers as a surprise gift. As this was my first time using Amazon for flowers, I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I knew Amazon had a track record of great service.
Here are my thoughts:
Flowers: Flowers were of high quality. Some minor browning (which I believe was due to the flowers not being open until 2hrs later), but plenty of room for a full bloom. While the flowers were not as big as some others that I've ordered, these flowers were significantly less costly as well. Like all flowers, the bouquet included a pack of standard "flower food."
Vase: I was semi-expecting a plastic vase, but the vase was surprisingly well made. Glass in construction and not cheap looking. Better than some vases that I have lying around the house for my other flowers.
Packaging: Simple Amazon boxing in a long rectangular box. The flowers were packaged in a clear wrap and tied down to prevent movement during shipping.
Shipping: Surprisingly fast shipping. I ordered these flowers on late Wednesday and they arrived by Friday morning (expected shipping was scheduled for Monday). If these flowers were to be delivered for a specific day, I may have had to write a comment/note to make sure they arrived in a timely matter. However since these were a surprise gift, the early arrival was welcome. Additionally, I didn't have to pay for shipping due to my Amazon Prime status.
Comparison: While I usually use 1800-Flowers, it was nice to have another option for flowers. As I love Amazon's shipping service and customer review system, this was an easy purchase. As this system matures, I'll definitely look forward to using Amazon Flowers for future special occasions.
I received these today. They are fragrant. They are naturally fragrant and the buds are tight. These are the best flowers I have received all winter. I have spent over $250 on flowers this winter. I order them every 2 weeks. They are for hospice care.The last hours of my friends life will be graced with the perfume these roses give off. It can only be palliative but when a loved one has spells of vomitting the stench of bile in the room is toxic. The flowers give us all a wave of relief. It also helps encourage deep breathing. The fragrance is an elixur that is comforting. I have been refunded by other vendors who made claims that their flowers are fragrant- on half of the orders this winter. Almost all vendors now do not include "fragrant" in the description because the inventory is all hybrids that have no scent at all. These were not described as fragrant in the listing. I just got lucky!
We ordered the multi-color dozen roses bouquet and we’re quite pleased. They came in a sturdy box well-packaged with moist water at the ends of the stems. Just as the instructions said, they did open up by the 3rd day. For the price the roses are great, but I wouldn’t say they’re premium roses, and there was only 1 red rose. We would definitely order again though for value and ease of ordering, plus quick shipping. Cheerful dozen!
I ordered the orange roses and they are gorgeous! The buds were a little bit closed when they arrived but I trimmed the stems and put it in water with the flower food that comes with it. The flowers opened within 4 hours. I posted a photo of how nice it looks already. Make sure to cut the stems about 3 inches - it fits in the vase much better that way.
Overall: Great price. Beautiful flowers. Quick delivery. Love it!
Nice assortment of multiple colored buds with 2foot long stems, thorns mostly removed including nice greenery. Arrived as promised in two days, just ahead of Valentine's Day. Wife very pleased! She likes to do her own arranging anyway. 8 days later, buds are still opening slowly and only one is drooping a bit but still they look great! Should last maybe another week? Worth it.

Forget the (sometimes) cheap selections in grocery stores and super centers, your flowers will be ugly in a few days.
I even tried saving a few dollars once and used another brand (also on Amazon). Once was all it took; I went back to BB and haven't looked back. I've ordered flowers from them eight times now.
Always fresh and always long lasting (just follow the directions). I just performed the third stem trimming and water refill for this last bunch, which are still steaming along after arriving over a week and a half ago.
Update: (2019) a year later same great service, healthy and pretty delivered on time for Grandma's birthday!
(2018)Excellent variety of colors. Very healthy, most lasted three weeks ! with occasional trimming and fresh water. Am ordering again.
The flowers arrived on time, and they were bright and fresh with very nice green wrapping when opened. A great value indeed.
I bought these to decorate my dining room - they were pretty big, great cheerful colors, and lasted about a week. Great quality!
Well here it is I went on and read the reviews I thought I would take a chance Amazon comes through again perfect outstanding
