Amazing! I just used a tiny bit to thicken a sauce and it worked like magic! Goodbye flour! I’ve been following a Ketogenic diet for almost a year so I haven’t been able to make anything with a gravy and this stuff is going to be a total game changer for me. It will probably last forever too because I only needed like a tsp of it for an entire recipe.
I use xanthan gum in my low carb cooking. It's great. I only reason I gave it for instead of 5 stars is because it says packed in USA, but it doesn't say where it's a product of and being this company sells organics and healthy foods etc, I expected Anthony's to know it's customers want to know what country it's from.
We use a lot of Xanthan gum. It thickens my home-brew breakfast protein shake, pseudo-emulsifies home-made salad dressing, and thickens sauces and heartburn medication. If you need to make a liquid that is thick, or slippery, or combines an oil and water, this is great stuff. (When combining oil and water, mix the xanthan gum with the oil, then add the water and shake/blend.)
Very disappointed… Paid top dollar and got a product that expired in June 2016.... it's February 2017
Awesome for making smoothies. Throw half a teaspoon in your regular shake to thicken it to a thick creamy consistency. Just be careful, too much will zap the sweetness out of the shake, keep a couple packets of truvia handy.

Well here is the review of this product. I mean I assume it works because I added this to some clocked down chicken broth and I added too much and turned to slime. This definetly will thicken sauces just don’t add too much
FINALLY! A Xanthan Gum that says it is derived from corn. Being "off the charts" allergic to wheat and gluten the least bit of wheat causes many serious issues and Xanthan Gum is one that has been an issue for years. Many actually use wheat in the fermenting process and still say they are gluten free. One even brags about being corn free but still labels itself as gluten free? Even though Anthony's sells 2 products that do contain gluten and the possibility of cross contamination is high, this seems to be the lesser of the evils. They do test every batch and even though "the standard" still allows more gluten content than many of us can tolerate, if we plan on trying to live a "normal" life, there are risks and I am optimistic this risk is less than the ones I have been using. If there are no issues, I intend to tell the salad dressing people, the drug companies and dairies I use that this is the one to trust (since they insist on using it in EVERYTHING). Thanks Anthony's for trying and will be THRILLED (& spread the word) if this is THE one and will be buying your other GF products as well.
This has been awesome for keto pizza crust and breads. It's an excellent binding agent for all my recipes especially when I can't use eggs. I have done a lot of experimenting with it and it has never let me down.
Great quality as expected - I store it in the freezer and it is readily available to add to all of my family's favorite Gluten Free recipes. (Add a pinch to just about any coconut flour creation and it will help prevent the "crumbling mess" problem so prevalent in GF baked goods.)
I was so completely satisfied with how well this xanthan gum product thickens gravies, soups, sauces, pudding, etc. This is a wonderful product that will help with keto, paleo and diabetic diets without the carbs and the guilt. You don't have to sacrifice with your diet favorites when you use this product. It is tasteless and thickens just like corn starch, masa, and flour.
