After years of not playing, I recently decided to dig out my old 3DS and 3DS XL only to discover that I had totally lost my chargers. I found this one on Amazon that looked like a legit Nintendo product, but I was a little scared after reading some of the reviews about receiving junkers not in official packaging. So I ordered via Amazon Prime since the customer service is always amazing (just in case), but lucky for me no issues! I received the brand new charger in the Nintendo-licensed box exactly as shown on this Amazon listing, and it works perfectly for both of my older 3's. Works exactly like the ones that originally came with the DS and I purchased it for less than $10, so I'm a very happy customer.

I bought a New Nintendo 3DS XL and knew it that it didn't come with a charger, so I have to buy this one for a very good price cause in the country where I live it is overpriced and is very difficult to find an original one from Nintendo. It's gonna be like 3 years since I bought this and still using it with no problems. It's only for 110v so have to buy too an adapter for 220v in my country.
The quality is nice, it doesn't feel cheap but it's not premium. The cable didn't peeled in this 3 years with a very rought use. The product is resistance cause it fell from a 2 meters distance and do nothing, it works perfectly. Comes in a box with a tiny paper with instructions that help almost nothing.
I give to it a 9/10 cause I have to buy another one and it doesn't come with the console. Smart move, Nintendo.
5 stars for now unless it just stops working on me later down the road. It arrived quickly and Un damaged .My one flaw is that it doesn't stay in well enough and fits loosely so it's prone to fall out if your trying to strech the cord out you know charge and play at the same time . My last one didn't have this problem I don't think my port is damaged so I assume it's the cord but im not exactly for sure though that's just my opinion so I suggest you read the other reviews and see if they mention the same thing or not .
Now for some advice to save you from possible headaches- I bought this because the cord i got with my 3ds just stopped working on me while I had it charging . I have some speculations but I'm not exactly sure of the cause I would suggest tie your cords up loosely so you don't damage it and just consider it more when you charge . where you charge it . like if the outlet may have surge problems or if you should use a surge protector power strip . I was charging it at work and it didn't occur to me this could be a problem and I used one of their outlets and now that I think of it I lost a cell phone at work also while I had it charging. it just started shutting down and I had to replace it . As soon as I would restart it , it would just shut down I'm just sharing this so that it might help you from the same issue . It's not fun having to replace things or waste money.
Came exactly as advertised! Box and item were both in great condition. The time it took to charge a completely dead 3DS to a full charge was roughly 4 hours, so it'll be convenient to just plug in overnight and have a full charge by morning!
The cord is also long enough that I imagine it will be easy to play my 3DS while it charges.

I don’t know why the 3DS doesn’t come with one of these. They’re still a good idea, the cord is long enough to sit in the chair away from the outlet. It works for 3DS and 3DS XL (as well as 2DS) and generally charges faster than the cord given with the system (we just use those for the car)
This works great, shipped fast, and was affordable. I wish new DS purchases included the charger, but it don't, so this was the easiest placr to buy one fast.
Purchased a Nintendo 3DS XL game for my sweet daughter, after she noticed her Nintendo 3DS gaming console charging port had melted and fused with the old charger. So upon her opening her gifts, Christmas morning she noticed the 3DS XL DID NOT COME WITH A CHARGING ACCESSORY. HOW SWAY?!?!?! HOW! and Why? All the money I paid for a 3DS XL, and it does not come with a charging accessory? (Ok, I'm done ranting!) in any event, I purchased this charger, it fits and works perfectly.
This is an OEM Nintendo charger and is compatible with the DS, 3DS, 3DS XL and New 3DS XL.
it outputs 4.6v, 900mA. It's a class 2 power supply and is made in China. It's ten bucks. There isn't much more to say about it except that it's reliable, OEM and works well, seems to charge up a system faster than cheaper options. I am not sure why anyone wouldn't just spend the money and get an OEM charger. I could see if it were 9 times as expensive than the competitive 3rd parties, but it's...ten bucks.
