Loma Linda - Plant-Based - Chili (20 oz.) – Kosher

Loma Linda - Plant-Based - Chili (20 oz.) – Kosher

This is excellent veggie chili (especially if you, like me, are soy intolerant and need gluten-based meat substitute). Best of all, unlike some other brands I could name (Primal Strips, I'm giving you a dirty look right now), Loma Linda apparently understands that it's INCREDIBLY easy to add more spice if youwish, but you CAN'T take spices out of something that is too spicy to eat. Some of us on special diets requiring vegetarian food are VERY sensitive to spices, and this chili isn't spicy in the least. (For those who complain about it being bland, I have a simply solution for you. Spend all of a whole $1 at Walmart buying a packet of chili seasoning and ADD IT to your chili! A five-year-old could do this. It's not hard. If Loma Linda were to "spice up" their chili, however, then people like me wouldn't be able to eat it at all.)

In short, it's excellent for people with special needs, and there's a wide variety of uses for chili, from "Frito Pies" to chili dogs to "chili sandwiches" to just eating it plain. Another excellent vegetarian otpion from Loma Linda! :)

I don't know why there are haters for this chili. Wife and I found it to be excellent.

Most Loma Linda foods have a similar aftertaste for some reason, but this chili seems to be an exception. The beans are cooked well, no thick skins. The TVP 'meat' is nice big chunks, and very tender. Somebody did their homework on this vegetarian product.

We even used this on some vegetarian chili dogs, and it was terrific. The texture is spot on, and the flavor is perfect. Even if you just heat up a bowl of this chili and eat it with some tortillas, you will love it.

I have no idea what the one reviewer was talking about when comparing the flavor of this chili to ketchup. Not even close! No resemblance to ketchup at all, unlike the Nalley brand of vegetarian chili.

We tried this in “Pepper Bellies” (chilli, cheese, and Fritos) for the first time a couple nights ago. This chilli has a great flavor!

No strange aftertastes or anything and no odd textures. The faux meat used is the texture of cubed deli meat, IMO.

Will buy often! Wish this item were cheaper.

This chili is delicious! I used it for topping on coney's and even with beans it was great. I will be buying more when the weather gets cooled off and chili weather arrives. I highly recommend this product for anyone who wants a meatless chili that tastes great! I have found that it is good right out of the can! Not greasy, you don't get the grease coating on your tongue you do with cold chili. I just can't say enough about how good this is!!!

This is my husband's FAVORITE chili! We had tried some other vegetarian chilis in the past, but when I had bought a rather large case of this many years ago, he just LOVED IT! Then for some reason, we couldn't find it! Thankfully, we have found it again, and he couldn't be happier! Thank you for this quality product!!

Yum. Costs a little bit, but it is worth it. If you have an appetite buy one for each person. (Leftovers of this are good reheated if you have too much.) If you add sauce- it's still good. Love this stuff. Hmmm...now I'm hungry....

The taste is great.
I gave it four stars for the taste. BUT, it contains soy and isn't organic, so the soy is probably GMO, as over 90% of soy is. So I won't be buying it again. Too bad because it was better than most vegetarian chili.

Love it!!! Super tasty. Hearty too. Top with cheddar cheese or serve with corn bread. Yum. Note - lots of bean product in this - so its a good idea to have simethecone on hand....

Not as savory as I remembered it to be. I can whip up a wonderful veggie chili in 20 minutes...think I'll stick with that. Seller was terrific. Prompt and courteous!

Best veggie chili ever! Thick, chewy and tasty. I mix a can of regular vegan chili beans to it.
