Great deal for the price and functions. This little DVD player has many options and the video quality looks great. Here are some of the key highlights to this DVD player
1. Plays almost any DVD-R or DVD+R recorded format there is, but will not support Blueray of course.
2. USB and SD Card reader is great for playing movies, but the videos must be in DIVX format, not MP4. If you want to convert video to Divx, I suggest using Wondershare Video Converter. Also note, not every resolution is supported, use standard 480P to convert your videos.
3. Plays NES games. The gamepad must be plugged in the rear USB port, and only works with the gamepad included. You can download your own NES games and put them on an SDCARD, but never every game is supported. I found about 1/3 of the NES collection you might find online won't work.
4. Built in speakers are plenty loud but you can't adjust volume during game play.
A few things to note on this DVD player. You should make sure in the setup menu that you have screen setup as 16:9, otherwise your videos will have large black bands on top and bottom. I normally turn off the memory function because it sometimes causes an issue with USB videos. Turn up the Dynamic Range to full, this will produce a better picture quality with compressed videos.
Perfect for home and car. I have a 2 year old who of course wants to watch the same movies over and over. I can sit him up with his own personal movie and the rest of the family can still enjoy our television. Car trips are a breeze now with this DVD player. It even remembers where it stopped if it gets turned off or if he accidentally opens it and immediately resumes playing in the correct spot. We have had it a few months now and the car charger broke. I contacted customer support on a Friday night and they immediately emailed me back and said they would send a new charger but it was out of stock in the US so it might take 14-21 business days to get here and asked if that was ok with me. I said of course! For now I’ll just make sure and keep it charged. The battery does last a very long time. I was super pleased with the service I received.
We bought this as a birthday gift for our five-year-old. Both he and his 2-year-old sister love it, and so do us parents. We had purchased two other similar devices and returned them (one didn't have as many charging options, and the other broke after one use), and this one is far superior. It's small, lightweight, and feels solidly built; my son's favorite color is red and so he loves how it looks. The screen can rotate and can also fold back onto the device, making it more like a tablet (and covering the controls, which is good if you're handing it to a cranky 2-year-old in a car). The controls on the device as well as the remote control are much more useful than those on the other products we tried - the remote is more responsive, and the controls allow you to go to the menu and interact with it easily. And it remembers where you left off when you're watching a DVD, unlike some of its competitors. The sound and image quality are surprisingly good. It can be plugged into the wall or charged via a car power adapter, and its battery life is better than many other similar devices. For only a few dollars more we were able to get a 4-year protection plan that I think will come in handy given how young our kids are and how easily accidents can happen.
So far it's made two long road trips considerably more fun for the whole family, and has empowered my son to play DJ with his favorite CDs during family time, as well as to play DVDs from the library in a more hands-on and personal way than he ever could with our big TV and Xbox. He actually prefers this device over our other, perhaps more impressive media players, because it's his, and he can move it around and control it so easily.
Cons: It doesn't come with headphones or earbuds, or any way to attach it to a car headrest, though if you write a review they apparently send you a headrest mount for free. I would have written this review anyway, but that's a nice bonus and we look forward to it! Also the power button is on the side and a couple of times our kids have turned it off accidentally while holding it. It might be better placed on the back edge or something, to make it a little harder to access.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this unit. I bought it as an alternative to a Magnavox I just sent back that wouldn't play any DVDs or CDs. This plays DVDs, commercial CDs and also CD-RWs of music I recorded. The sound quality and tone is really nice through the unit's speakers. I'll be taking this outside to listen to CDs. I agree with other reviewers' comments stating that for DVD playback, the sound doesn't play as loud as they'd like. But, volume for CDs plays at a good level.
I wanted this unit primarily as a solution for my new car not having a CD player. I play this thru the auxiliary input and it comes thru the car's Pioneer system with good quality, no hiss or odd hums. I haven't encountered any skipping during playback while driving so far. But, I'm not an offroader...
Some folks commented that this shouldn't be labeled as an 11.5" DVD player since the screen isn't that big. I agree on that point, even though in the product details it states 11.5" is the diagonal size of the unit. It's 9" wide diagonally and 7 3/4" wide and 4 1/2" tall. One shouldn't have to read the fine print, so to speak, to find that out. I suggest the vendor relabel this item to help avoid disappointed customers and returns.

I’m a bit upset that the description clearly says 11.5 inch dvd. NO PART of this is that large. I’ve attached photos with a ruler for your information.
Included was the car and wall charger, remote control, and the cord to connect to a tv. Also included was a card for a free headrest car mount if you give the product 5 star.
I was scammed, I could have purchased a much cheat car mount had I known the DVD player was 2.5 inches smaller.
I received the unit today, I’m debating on returning this unit just for the pure fact they lied. I purchase portable DVD players about ever 6 months, seems that’s as long as the last with 3 kids. I can never purchase the same unit I had last time as they get discounted. Had I known this screen was so small I could have bought an even cheaper unit. Hinge spring is cheap, that will be lost fast.
On the bright side it has a small plastic stop, which seems like it may help white the unit is folded to be in the car from not hitting the buttons, the buttons do seem to be pretty flush. Our last DVD had raised buttons they also go hit while holding the unit, the movies would fast forward and such.

Perfect for my kiddo to hold while on long road trips! I got one for each of my three children so I don't have to listen to fighting about not being able to see or disagreement about which movie to watch. I love that it can play games, but I wish that the games were an enclosed cd rather than a download link. It's the perfect size and comes in fun colors. The spinning of discs is loud and overwhelms the audio coming out of the speakers. That, combined with the noise pollution of driving on the freeway, it makes it hard to hear. But this is easily solved by wearing headphones or playing digital movies from an external hard drive or memory stick or card. I wish that the car hearest mount holder was included, but as of this writing, you can get a free one from the seller if you write a review on Amazon, so that's really cool. Communication with the seller has been very good and I imagine any customer support would be as well. I'm happy with my purchase.
I think that this is the perfect way to make sure that kiddos are entertained if your usual modes of TV aren't available. It's small enough to carry around and even watch movies in the back seat of your car, yet big enough to enjoy what you're watching.
All of the buttons for play, stop, menu and such are clearly marked and easy to access. The screen is small - but it works well for a person sitting in their chair or lying in bed to watch a movie by themselves. You can even put headphones on and listen while watching.
I really appreciate how the screen can turn/swivel completely around to mount it on the back of the car headrest. They even had an offer in the package to get a free mounting kit/harness for the car! The sound quality was adequate for the kids but I connect my headphones when I use it. You can also use the AV output to project the image to a TV.
The other thing I really liked was the USB port to be able to watch downloaded movies. All the formats I tried so far have worked perfectly. It also came with a car charger which is perfect for long trips. It will last 5 hours per charge which is fine for most cases.
My favorite bing is that the charging port is the round charger an dhot like the android charger. My daughter has had a portable DVD player with android charger and messed it up by accidentally putting the charger in wrong (I did he same thing occasionally) and with this type of charger you cannot make that mistake because it’s round. This DVD player is clear visual and loud enough to be heard when I’m driving in traffic which is great for her. Comes with car charger an dwall charger and a game console for kids (small for their hands). This has been a great purchase for when we sit in hours long Atlanta traffic on a daily basis. ***I review almost all purchases on amazon because I buy frequently from amazon and I rely on reviews for most products and this is an honest review. The company does offer a free mount for the DVD player if you give a review but it’s not a coerced request because the product speaks for itself. My 4 yr old and I are very happy with this product.
This DVD player is very handy and practical. We do not use it in a car, but in a camper trailer where we cannot use a standard TV. It has worked with all store-bought or rented DVDs we have tried so far (all region 1 or non-region, if that makes any difference).
The screen shows the movie image clearly and crisply, though it is a TN screen without a wide viewing angle. The unit is lightweight and boots up very quickly.
There is mention of a 'game mode' in the manual, but I do not know what this is and have not tested it. We bought this to watch movies and do not have a game controller anyway.
Having multiple colors to pick from is nice.
Pausing and resuming is very fast.
Buttons make a loud click when pressed and feel a bit cheap, but they work fine and we haven't had any issues.
The biggest problem we have is that even at the loudest volume setting, the volume is not that loud (this is while wearing headphones, two different pairs tried). I'd like to have the option for higher volume to compete with background noise; the missing star is for the volume.
The sound quality is sufficient, and movies sound like what I expect when I've seen the movie before.
Overall, I am happy with this unit, and it is handy when travelling.
I will mention this unit has one of those "free headrest case if you write a review" cards that people have mentioned in some DVD player reviews. That does not influence my review as we do not have children and no plans to watch movies in a car, this was purchased for tabletop usage only.
