So much faster than my Epson EcoTank, (this one spits out up to 28 PPM; I was lucky to get 1/2 that from the Epson). On top of that, the print quality is superior. I wouldn't be able to tell with just documents, but photos are rendered so much better on this Canon than what I'm used to. Also, it's rated to meet the needs of just about any house and most small businesses, up to 4k pages per month. The one-pass duplex scanner is awesome; just didn't realize how much faster and more efficient it would make the process. Combine all of this with the economy of the laser toner cartridges and you have a win/win. Beyond this, the programmable touch screen reminds me of the corporate-sized printers at work, except this one I can program to meet my needs instead of regularly digging through the same menus. I don't use my phone to print, so I can't comment on the NFC use, but overall wireless setup was easy, (I won't say plug'n'play because you need to DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE FIRST! Not immediately plug it into the USB, (there's a danger tag and plug in the USB port to keep you honest, so this isn't a surprise). The only thing to be aware of is the footprint of this monster. It really is an 18" cube, so it is a bit more substantial than many printers; it's worth checking to see if it will fit your space.
This all in one is as good as my office machine, and it has great output and speed capabilities. The machine is a bit bulky and heavy so it's kind of weirdly too big for a desk or table, but too small to be freestanding. I wish there was a stand or other way to display the machine as the various lids and flaps can take up precious real estate if there are any other things on or around the surface near the machine. Color printing is very accurate. I've had a few errors spit out using the bonjour printer communication protocol via my macbook pro, but printing from PCs seems to be completely problem free, along with network sharing. I wish the trays had a bit more capacity for large scale home jobs, but in terms of speed, precision and jam free operation, this thing is a winner.
This is a quality AIO printer for home or small business needs. It has all the standard ways of connecting to print to it. The colors come out nicely. The speed of printing or scanning is not bad. It's a big and heavy machine..
