This is yet the best screen protector I have gotten for my iPhone X. At first they came with the cut-out for the notch, then screen protector makers filled in the notch with the screen protector. Finally now this screen protector addresses the “rainbow” effect that other screen protectors have when it’s offset by a fraction of a millimeter from the screen’s edge because this screen protector has an outer edge in black that makes it truly invisible. And it fit an Otterbox case with no issues.
Refer to the photos, but unless I study my iPhone X from an angle, I do not see a screen protector. Great job to Tethys for making such a high quality design.
The application was seamless with included wet and dry pads, and a frame where you drop in the screen protector and it fits into its place perfectly.
After a couple of days of use, it does not appear to be scratching too easily. Most screen protectors do after some time, and I expect this one to do as well, but those would have to be pretty deep scratches (sharing a pocket with my keys for example).
I will keep this review updated on the results of the long-term use should they be different from what I have encountered thus far.
I have tried out various screen protectors throughout my ownership an several iPhones. Please don’t be fooled into buying $40 screen protectors. The value of each of these is $3.33 and they are made of the same stuff.
There are so many tempered glass screen protectors out there now, so how do you know which one to choose? After trying several, I can say confidently that it’s pretty hard to tell the difference between most of them except for one factor - price. Obviously there are ones to avoid, and reviews can lead you that direction, but otherwise I would say it is best to get whichever one is least expensive with good reviews - and this one fits that. We’ve come a long way from trying to perfectly align the annoying sticky screen protectors— the plastic guide that comes with this one makes getting it on straight stupid-proof. The only thing to remember is to make sure you clean the iPhone surface well and make perfectly sure there aren’t annoying little dust particles that will make a bubble.
I was concerned that the black border on the tempered glass would be visible and look cheap, but actually it blends in with the black phone border and actually helps make the screen more seamless when using the Apple leather case. I’m not entirely sure why they didn’t make it just clear, but I would imagine there is some reason...
As far as durability - I can say I’ve already dropped it twice (with a case) and kept it in my pocket with keys all day and it’s still pristine. I use it with the Apple leather case (see picture) and there are no issues with compatibility. Actually, the lifting of the screen due to the screen protector's thickness helps decrease the gap between the surface and the case edge. No pulling up or bubbling.
Overall I would definitely buy this screen protector again. I would say to stop agonizing over which well-reviewed screen protector to buy and just go for this one, save some money, and call it a day.
I absolutely love this product. I have to say sometimes I worry about not buying a "bargain" product thinking maybe it won't be as good. but let me tell you this product is amazing and I appreciate the price! It is absolutely a great product at an affordable price and is worth the investment. Easy instal, includes everything you would need and takes seconds to put on. Best part you barely notice there is a screen on the phone! iv never been one to have a screen protector because I hate the chunky feel and look but this protector is perfect. I will absolutely buy again if needed AND recommend to all my friends!
I’ve had screen protectors for my iPhone X since day one. You’ve seen them, the ones with the little notch cut out and those that fall short of covering the entire screen, making your beautiful phone look like a Louis Vuitton purse wrapped with a garbage bag to protect it.
You get the idea.
The Tethys cover is heaps better than the run of the mill protectors out there. It covers the entire screen, and make your phone look like it doesn’t have anything on!
Another amazing thing is the fact the edges aren’t sharp like the other protectors are. So swiping from side to side or from bottom to top feels more like you’re not even using a protectors than anything! It’s truly amazing!
Application is super easy with the provided applicator. Just make sure you don’t have any dust in the air and you’re set.
People complained about bubbles. You just have to push them out. It can take a bit of force, but using a microfiber cloth to push them out did the trick for me.
Anyway, have a look at the photos. You can’t go wrong with these protector! Worse case scenario, you return them. :)
This screen protector is perfect.
I chose not to outfit my iPhone X with a screen protector because I hated the partial coverage protectors that were on the market. That choice led to a thoroughly scratched screen. When I purchased my iPhone XS I decided to search again and I’m so happy I did because this screen protector is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. It covers the ENTIRE SCREEN so there are no gaps around the edges and you honestly can’t even see it.
Installation:
It was extremely easy to install and even when I noticed a bit of lint on the underside of the protector I was able to easily (albeit VERY carefully) pull it up and use the included dust removal sticker to get it off and reapply without leaving any bubbles.
Durability:
I will update when I’ve used it for longer than 5 minutes but it is very sturdy and I’m confident it will last a long time.

Pros:

-fits with multiple styles of phone cases

Cons:
-All 3 screen protectors had an air pocket ring around the outskirts of the glass that was impossible to push out. However, we were able to carefully lift up the sides of the protector and then push the bubbles out through that air space. After this process, we were able to eliminate all bubbles and air pockets. However, there is a slight accumulation of lint around the edge from repeatedly lifting the border up.
Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons and this is a good product, especially for the price. I emphasized the negatives so anyone else who has this issue knows how to fix it. I could not find any other reviews that had this problem so maybe it was an isolated issue. If the application process was slightly easier, this would be a 5 star review.
This is a great screen protector...I've taken my old one off and put this one on...what a difference. Not only it looks great, but the my screen is definitely much more sensitive compared to when I had my old one on. Since I put it on from day one...I never know that iPhone X touch screen is that sensitive to touch. Yes, there is a black border...it blends in perfectly. The alignment tool worked great! I had no problem putting one on my phone and my wife's phone in about 5 minutes. Hands down best one that I've used. I am using the Apple leather case...great fit.

iPhone is expensive and damaged screen replacement cost is really high. Therefore, a tempered glass screen protector is great investment to protect the iPhone and can save lots of money if accident happens.
I have been using tempered glass screen protector on every iPhone devices I ever purchased because it's really durable, touch feeling is great and works really nice. This product comes with 3-pack of the protector which I believe is good enough for me and I share one with my wife as well, the price is really valuable and product is really good. Inside the package comes with an installation frame which helps me to install the screen protector much easier and entire installation can be done in less than a minute. Easy and perfect.
I have been using it for more than a month and it works great. Screen is crystal clear, touching sensitive feels the same, I don't have to worry about screen scratch anymore. Great product, great price and love it!
I've had screen protectors on all my devices so I'm not a novice at installing them. The Tethys glass protector for the iPhone Xs was very intriguing to me because it uses an installation jig that fully encompasses the iPhone and makes alignment a piece of cake. I followed the instructions and video exactly and got perfect alignment on the first try. After pressing the middle of the glass protector to activate the adhesion process. 95% of the bubbles disappeared by themselves. There were some left in the corners and along the edges that were removed by pressing/rubbing on the glass protector with a a stiff plastic card. I was eventually able to get all of them to disappear after 10-15 minutes of rubbing and concentrating on each area until they were gone. After that, the protector looked flawless on the screen. I left the iPhone Xs sit for 2 days to ensure the adhesive took well to the screen and there were no chances I would use the phone and cause the protector to lift. After 2 days the protector was well stuck and has not lifted at all since even with using Spigen armor cases.
I have 2 reasons for taking off 1 star.
First reason, the wet cleaning pad was bone dry. Yep, all the alcohol had evaporated in the "sealed" package so this must have been a pretty old kit sitting on the shelf. Luckily my screen was not that dirty and using the now dry wet pad it still wiped off any dust and oils. The dust sticker took care of any dust specks that landed before setting the protector into place.
Second reason, the time and pressure it took to get the remaining bubbles removed was WAY more than any other glass protector I've ever used. 10-15 minutes of heavy rubbing and pressing eventually got rid of them but my fingers were sore. Luckily I had a stiff plastic card from another company's glass protector because Tethys does not supply anything. The Spigen card I used is not quite as stiff as a credit card and worked well. Would be nice if Tethys included something like that.
Given Tethys gives you 3 protectors and all the items to install all 3 is a great deal for $10. The alignment jig is really nice and works perfectly. Just be prepared that there may be considerable rubbing/pressing to get all of the bubbles out. But in the end, it was definitely worth it. The edge to edge protection is comforting and looks AWESOME!!
I really liked the product when it first came. The box and packaging felt premium, especially for the price that you’re paying.
Where this falls a little short is the quality control. The first protector that I tried installing, I notice had a little piece of paper stuck on the glass itself (no matter how much you used the dust tape remover it wouldn't come off) finally I gave up and installed a second one. I tried to even scratch off the piece of paper on the original and it wouldn’t come off at all.
The tool to help you align the glass to your phone is good, however it leans more towards the bottom from looking at the speaker grill and isn’t truly a perfect alignment. I do like how the screen protector has the black around it to prevent that “rainbow” affect you typically get from other screen protectors, although it blocks just a little bit of the screen as I can tell from the shadows left from the border when in bright lighting.
Now what truly takes off a star for me for this product is the edges of the glass. It’s not fully smoothen out to where whenever you swipe back home or left and right you feel the edge and the sharpness of the glass. I had another glass screen protector prior to this and maybe it wasn’t as thick, but I could feel the difference on my thumb.
Overall, you’re getting a pretty good to okay screen protector for the price. The glass itself is clear and from having it on for a week, no micro scratches or scratches so far.
