Erythritol Sweetener Granular (1 lb / 16 oz) - Perfect for Diabetics and Low Carb Dieters - No Calorie Sweetener, Non-GMO, Natural Sugar Substitute

I bought this on a whim when I realized I couldn’t drink my coffee with my usual cream and sugar when starting intermittent fasting. I tried drinking my coffee black and although it wasn’t terrible when I added a pinch of salt, I knew I wasn’t going to make it on black coffee. After finding out sweetners such as Sweet N Low were allowed I came here to Amazon to find a better alternative. I used to use Sweet N Low all the time until one day, randomly, it suddenly gave me this terrible chemical aftertaste. Since then I ditched it and just measured my REAL sugar out for drinks such as coffee and tea. I might add I’ve also tried Stevia and Splenda in the past as well and always disliked them. Now that I am trying to follow a IF schedule for eating I am in need of a sweetener that won’t trigger any kind of breaking of my fast in the morning. I am drinking my coffee now for the first time with Erythitol and I can honestly say I am impressed. There’s no artificial aftertaste and although it isn’t giving me the sweet sugar taste, it did dull the bitterness of my coffee to drinkable. I usually use 2 tsp real sugar in my coffee (12 oz cup) so I put about 2 1/2 tsp of erythritol this first time around. I could definitely get used to this sweetener and highly recommend it to anyone finding a good sugar alternative to sweeten drinks.

I hate artificial sweeteners, they taste awful so when I started my keto diet I wanted something that had a good taste. The Stevia i bought at the supermarket was gross and had a bitter after taste, but this is great! It's natural and tastes and looks like sugar. Very happy :)

This stuff is awesome! I've used it in waffles, muffins, cakes, frostings and whipped creams. I don't get an "aftertaste" at all. I'll even use it in my coffee, but my Mom says she gets a bad aftertaste when it isn't in baked goods. I prefer erythritol over any other sugar substitute and this brand/seller seems to really care about the product and their customers.

I bought this for a keto dessert recipe. I'm new to cooking with artificial sweeteners and don't really know the ratios for substituting other types, so I just ordered exactly what was listed in the recipe's ingredients, and I'm glad I did. I've made other keto sweets using the little Truvia packets I put in my coffee, and they have all come out with a sort of gritty, over-sweet, fake taste to them. But this stuff? No weird taste at all. My mini cheesecakes came out just like they were supposed to, they taste pretty damn good, and unless you were told, you wouldn't know they didn't have sugar in them. I literally just had a house guest find them in my fridge and eat 3 of them, thinking they were regular yummy desserts, not realizing I'd made them for my diabetic mother-in-law. At first I wasn't sure about the price versus what you get, but I've made the recipe 3 times and that bag is still pretty full, so I'm perfectly fine with what I paid. It will last a while.

Really enjoying this stuff. I recently started cutting out sugar but really missed sweetening my coffee and teas so this really helped! I'm recommending this to my mom who has diabetes.

Description

What Is It?

Erythritol is a 0 calorie & 0 carb sweetener and sugar replacement used to add sweetness to just about anything!

It's a part of the "sugar alcohol" family, which means it's a naturally derived extract from fruits and plants and passes through your body, untouched, much like fiber. Because it's passed through, erythritol does not affect blood sugar in most people and has 0 net carbs. It's a great option for diabetics, low carb dieters and anyone looking to cut calories without sacrificing sweetness!

Erythritol VS Sugar

Erythritol is 70% as sweet as sugar and their flavors are very similar. Unlike most alternative sweeteners, there is no bitter or chemical aftertaste. Some say there is a mild cooling sensation. While sugar is a 68 on the glycemic index (GI) scale, erythritol is a 0! High glycemic foods cause blood sugar spikes, leading to more fat storage and hunger crashes.

Dentists love erythritol. Oral bacteria feed off of sugar but erythritol is shown to prevent plaque buildup, making it quite tooth-friendly!

Who Can Use It?

Anyone looking to reduce their sugar intake, lose weight or improve their health can benefit from using erythritol as a sugar substitute. It's a favorite among low-carb dieters, as well as sugar-free and paleo bakers. Plus, it's proven safe for kids and pets too!

How Do You Use It?

Use erythritol just as you would sugar in cooking, baking and sweetening drinks like tea and coffee. We recommend 1 1/3 cup of erythritol for every 1 cup of sugar in recipes. A teaspoon or two in your coffee works like a charm. Feel free to play around with the proportions and use erythritol to your specific taste.

A wonderful sweetener, that doesn't have a weird aftertaste. I honestly could tell there was a difference when I added it to my coffee. I'll definitely buy again!

Started using this sweetener about a month ago and I’m so glad I did! I didn’t realize the damage SUGAR was causing. Erythritol has prob been around for years but sadly I never considered a sugar substitute for anything in my kitchen. Once I started reading about KETO and the health benefits of NO sugar and Low carb, I learned about the MANY benefits of this sugar substitute. It tastes although it has a slight after taste but nothing you can’t get over or get used to. I’m happy I made the CHANGE. I’m also baking more than ever so my kids are loving it too!

I like it so far. Has no weird aftertaste or bitterness. Taste just like sugar to me, only less sweet. I do wonder about the safety of any artificial sweeteners, but that is just me being cautious. It seems like erythritol is safer than the others, but it is also used as an insecticide which makes me worry a bit. If you feel it is safe then this is a great non-GMO product.

The product was well packaged, arrived on time and performed exactly as expected. It makes a really handy sugar substitute and is easy to use. I had no problems when I split it with half stevia/half erythritol when recipes called for it and it bakes/cooks up very well. I am border line diabetic and as far as I can tell, it doesn't affect blood sugar levels, but I just began a Keto diet, which is why I purchased this product. I would use this again and suggest it to anyone looking for a tasty sugar substitute.
The sellers are conscientious and courteous, willing to go the extra mile to make sure their shipment was as it was supposed to be. I would buy from them again!

REALLY love this. Now I have had a real issue cutting sugar from my diet. I tried all the sugar substitutes on the market and have hated all of them for the aftertaste mostly. This is the closest thing to sugar I have ever tasted, however, if you want to get the same level that you maybe use to, it will take quite a bit. That's the thing, it is not very sweet so it takes a lot and I could see this being very expensive to use seeing how much it took to sweeten a cup of coffee to taste. So, either I'm cutting my sugar habit or now I have a new expensive bill. lol
