Creminelli - Italian Artisan Handcrafted Fine Meats, Wild Boar Salami, 5.5 Ounce

Creminelli - Italian Artisan Handcrafted Fine Meats, Wild Boar Salami, 5.5 Ounce

I buy these to take backpacking. As with any properly cured meat, they last for days out of the fridge. Although this usually doesn't make it past day two on a trip because it's so delicious!
I find the string doesn't help in peeling the casing all that well, but I just slit the casing down two sides and it peels easily.

To the genius complaining about the casing - It's not supposed to be eaten. DUH!
To all the people claiming their product arrived moldy... It's supposed to be moldy. It's part of the curing process. Would you write a bad review for blue cheese because it was moldy? *sigh*

The product cones wrapped in in thick casing, with what I assume to be a mold covering it still from the fermentation process. It's great by itself or on a charcuterie platter, but it's even better fried up quickly so that you get some delicious carmelization on the outside, and a rich creamy inside

It was a great tasting salami. If it contained truffles, I could not detect it but I ENJOYED what it was. I thought it said that truffles was .05 percent ( is that.0005?) - but the Black Truffle salami I purchased at Trader Joes was so interesting that I waited this whole year for a scheduled repurchase. They never did it and I settled for what you manufactured.
The real problem is that I and my wife are retired, our needs are so small that I cannot justify buying more than one salami at a time. The cost of shipping one salami must be at least 50% of the price. So my options of finding a reasonably prices salami on the internet, with truffles no less, under $13 with truffles including freight are not so good. We just finished the salami - I can eat a salami of this quality every day, but the salt is not so good ( says my wife) so I cheat every once in a while.
I would but it again without hesitation

I ordered two of the Picante which I had had one time before. When the product arrived it was green. I contacted Creminelli through Amazon and was informed that sometimes the packaging gets ripped or air is allowed into the packaging. They immediately offered t replace my original two picante (my fav) and said they would include two extra salami for me. The replacement order was sent out immediately and they now have a customer for life. Great product and amazing customer service. Highly recommend this product for dinner parties and conversation starters during the holidays. Thanks again Creminelli!!

First time purchaser of the Creminelli product and I am a customer for good! Finally found a true itialian salami here in the states for a great price. My husband loves this stuff and we can’t wait to try all the flavors! Our favorite right now is the Wild Boar. Enjoy!

Very mild with non-gamey but wonderful flavor. Savory yet subtle. Don't be put off because it is constructed with wild boar. Because of the diet of wild boar they develop a wonderful yet unassuming flavor that is mild and in the case of this salami not overwhelmed by the seasonings. It is almost a shame to call it salami because of the american association of flavor to our common salami. This is way more understated and naturally more flavorful..... more on the sweet side and without the "hot bite" we often think of when we imagine salami. This was our first purchase of this brand of wild boar salami and they now have a customer for life. Best ever with a flavor that almost melts in your mouth at first then expands with a flavor that begs for just one more bite, then another and another........ Next time I will double my order!

Hubby and I tasted wild boar salami in Italy and fell in love with it. When we tried to bring some back to share it was confiscated (even well-sealed, cured meat is apparently *dangerous* to bring into the US). We ordered this to share with friends and family, and it tasted every bit as good as what we had bought from the butcher at the source. Bravo, Creminelli, bravo!!

I have long been a fan of the Creminelli line of salumi. Simple philosophy: the best ingredients, humanely raised animals and an ethos of excellence in the production thereof. I tell everyone about these guys and I gave many gifts this holiday season to my friends in California. Complimenti!

I would say this is the first salami that I found that beats boors head, and it much healthy for you. No ABs and grass fed. my only concern is that is was shipped in a regular Amazon envelope, no insulation with no ice pack. It should be kept cool. I will definitely order again it's just really good stuff but will order only in the winter when it is cooler and never in the summer. If the place was closer to me, I would drive there and pick up a case at a time.

I never thought i'd buy salami from amazon.com, but thios is the place for this brand. Cheaper than my local higer end supermarket. This salami taste so good!
