I recently discovered truvia from a YouTube video. This girl really loved it, and my mom being a diabetic I bought a container to try out. This tastes great in coffee. I used the brown sugar package for baking and they make delicious cookies. Will be buying truvia from now on for coffee and other goodies.
I actually prefer this product more than the straight Stevia extract liquid. The blend of Stevia with alcohol-based sweetener adds no calories and actually helps some with bowel regularity (at least for me)! It's my favorite sweetener now. So much so that I've put it on standard monthly order of one 6.8oz size per month. Besides that, Amazon.com Services, Inc has the best price at only $5.44 per jar when auto-ordered! I also choose their flexible delivery time which saves me another $1 per jar! $4.44 final price per 9.8oz jar works out to just 45.3 cents per oz! Being flexible with the delivery means you just plan your order date sooner in month to compensate. It's well worth it @ 45.3 cents per oz & you get away from regular sugar. I developed type 2 diabetes starting about age 60 due my choice of foods. Too much sugar is totally bad for the body and it's in EVERYTHING! I now am fully committed to the "Keto" diet plan & stay away from most carbs & sugar. I have dropped 91 lbs and haven't felt this good in years!
I try to limit sugars, even natural sweeteners such as honey and agave, but sometimes I like a bit of sweet for tea or smoothies. Most stevia has a bitter taste to it, sometimes subtle but generally there. I have found that this brand hits the mark best for me. I don't bake with it, honestly if you are going to bake then that is the right time to use sugar, so I cannot comment on that. But for that added pinch of sweet I do like this mix and its lack of bitterness I usually associate with Stevia. For me I also hate the waste of all those packets, I usually only use half a packet then all those little half used packets just pile up. But this packaging is so easy to use, with a wide and easy to open top that is perfect for taking what you need.
Other no-cal sweeteners all have health risks but so far I've not heard anything about Truvia. I usually buy it at Walmart but the Subscribe and Save price makes it less expensive (for now, anyway), so I ordered five of them to last me a while. Instead of shipping them all in a size A7 box (1A7 box is 14.5 inches X 8 inches X 7.25 inches) where they would all fit quite nicely with room leftover they shipped EACH item in a separate A7 box! Terrible.
I've been buying Truvia for years, but I'm buying it from Amazon for the price. I save $2 over the price at my local grocery store, Ralphs (same as Kroger or Food4Less) This tastes so good that you can sprinkle it on foods, like grapefruit, or those strawberries that aren't quite sweet enough. It's even granulated like sugar, but without the calories and glycemic impact. I am hypoglycemic and due to multiple food allergies, I enjoy a paleo lifestyle, more on the keto side. I won't buy anything else and I carry the little packets with me when I go out, because nobody offers it! Bonus: You can repurpose the little jars as storage for small items, or look on Pinterest for craft ideas!

Description
Sweetness is meant to be enjoyed. That's why Truvia created products meant to reduce sugar, not taste. The clean, sweet flavor contained in Truvia Spoonable Natural Stevia Sweetener comes from nature in the form of the stevia leaf. Leaves don't dissolve well in beverages or baked goods, so we extract the sweetness from the stevia leaf. Because stevia leaf extract is 200x sweeter than sugar, we balance the sweetness with erythritol, a sweetener produced by fermentation. Erythritol is also found in fruits like grapes and pears. This gives you the sweet white crystals you love, without the sugar calorie. The lid opens to allow for measuring spoons to scoop up the sweetness you need when cooking. Whether you spoon it, pour it, or sprinkle it, this Spoonable jar is great for measuring just the right amount of sweetness you crave.
Consistency of sugar, however very sweet. If you are using it for recipes, even though they tell you how much to use on the container, I have found most times it is too sweet, thus I start with less than recommended. I love it. My favorite. No chemical aftertaste, however if you are using in a recipe you might find if you eat multiple servings you will detect a cooling sensation in your mouth. No stomach upset either as long as you don't go crazy. Plus since it is a mix of erythritol and stevia, it shouldn't spike your blood sugar or insulin.
This product is certainly convenient, but it has, for some reason, a flavor of clove and perhaps cinnamon. True, both of these are natural flavors, but I find I don't care much for them in lemonade. I will use up the product in cocoa, but probably won't get any more. A little goes a long way, too.
This is a nice product. The packaging is about the size of a regular sugar dish, the lid seals easily and nicely, and the mouth of the bottle is wide enough that it's easy to use with a spoon. There's enough to last a while and I didn't have problems with taste or quality.
I know this uses dextrose and people claim its bit natural Stevia but. With that being said this is the only sweetener that doesnt cause gas, stomach pain, bloating or weight gain . It tastes great. I love the crystallized texture. So I am sticking with this one.
Keto/ Paleo=No sugar. Carbs are the enemy! Well, I drink tea every day and used to add coffeemate or some other sugar-y creamer option, now trying to find the just right balance of sweet and rich with the "bullet-proof" way I'm taking it. This product is the best for the sweet tooth. You don't need 3 Tbs. like with erythritol, a little goes a long way, and any stevia "taste" is extremely minimal. I still use erythritol for baking, but this is easiest for morning hot beverages without the wast of packets.
