Pyle Bluetooth Marine Receiver Stereo - 12v Single DIN Style Boat in Dash Radio Receiver System with Digital LCD, RCA, MP3, USB, SD, AM FM Radio - Remote Control, Wiring Harness - PLRMR23BTW (White)

-----------This is an updated review.---------------
I recently installed one of these stereos in my center console boat.
This time I coupled it with a pair of 150w Pyle 6-1/2" speakers up front and a pair of 300w Kenwood 8" speakers in the back. All I can say is WOW!!! With these speakers, this stereo is amazing! Deep, bowel-shaking bass, clean midrange and crisp highs. I attribute much of the sound quality to the Kenwood speakers, but it's only because the head unit delivers the power. This setup rivals the 1000w stereo in my big boat as far as sound goes. I am truly amazed.
------------end new review--------------------

Installed this in a 21' deck boat I was planning to sell. Saw the 300W rating, and figured it was exaggerated, especially when I saw the unit. It looked thin and cheap, as the $39 price tag suggested. But I installed it anyway, tied in to (4) 150W Dual 6-1/2" coax speakers.

Install was the standard DIN cage - fit in the existing hole easily. Took 10 mins. This WILL fit in a car, by the way. In fact, because it isn't too deep, it will probably fit where some others won't.

When I turned on the radio and tuned in a station, I was surprised. Clear, crisp, and solid bass... Then I turned it up, and it got louder and louder. This thing really thumped! I was amazed, and cranked it up to see how loud it would go, and it got louder than I can handle. Made my wife come out of the house to see what was going on. Plenty of sound for when you are on the water with wind and engine noise. NICE!

Turned on the bluetooth of my phone, linked them together, and BOOM, now I had my music playing.

I have to say, I can't comment on it's longevity, but It worked great for the days I had it before the boat sold. New owner LOVED the stereo, had it playing for the whole test ride. I'm sure that helped sell the boat. Well worth the investment!

Love my new radio. This one replaces a Pyle brand radio that was in my pontoon that was probably close to 20 years old give or take. It got too wet in a torrential downpour and shorted it out.

This new one has way more power and an amazing price. The sound is great coupled with a new set of pyle 5.25" speakers I also picked up on amazon to replace probably an equally old set of Pyle Hydra speakers. I don't think that was the cheapest set but by far from the best Pyle offers, but them coupled with this new head unit the sound from the pontoon is better than ever. I can't wait to pick up a set of Pyle Hydra 6.5"s to add to the boat next so I can have a 4 speaker system.

As fast as the install it was just like any other auto/marine radio you would do. They have their wires color coded and an easy diagram in the manual. Maybe a bit overwhelming if you have never done a thing like this but it was routine for me, as I have been installing radios in things when needed for over 20 years now.
Pyle has I think some of the best stuff on the market for the price I would really recommend them for anyone.

I bought this to replace the original radio/CD player in my 2004 Pontoon boat. Installation was fairly easy. Compared to the radio it replaced, this is wonderful! Everything works as advertised, and it has plenty of power to hear music even when the boat's motor is at full throttle. I love the various ways you can connect to it - Aux input, Bluetooth, USB memory stick and SD card, not to mention the AM/FM radio. The inclusion of a remote makes it very easy to control the unit. The only downside is it is difficult to read the display in bright sunlight, and that is the reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5. This an outstanding buy for the money!

I installed this in the cabin of my sailing yacht, connecting to existing speakers. The sound quality and power are good, but not fantastic, which however maybe due to the speakers. Adjustment of bass & trebble works very well and is easy to perform. Connecting with BT is also very easy. Programming the radio stations is standard. The only point of crliticism is on the installation instructions. You need to connect the yellow wire to a "permanent" source of power (i.e. not going through the ignition switch), in order to ensure that your settings and stations are saved for the next time. The red wire may and should come from the ignition key ("accessories"). I believe this not well explained. All in all a very good unit for the money.

So easy to install. I usually have to replace the stereo in my go fast boat every 2 years or so cuz its wet and rough out there and they just don't holdup well. Were super pleased so far and it seems to be better sound quality and Bluetooth capable than a system in our big boat that cost hundreds more. Amazing at the price point!!

Work great in my 2 year old's car she loves it so much she just go sit in the car when we down in the basement just to turn the music on.I have installed many systems over years in cars and for the price and what it was used for its perfect.

If this is a first install then it's simple. If this is a replacement for an existing radio then there could be some issues depending on the size of weather protector of the first radio. Chances are the original cover is going to be larger than the one purchased for the Pyle and you won't be able to use it. We had to remove the original protector altogether so we could bend the retaining tabs out to secure the Pyle, and then reinstall it. Sounds involved but it only took 30 minutes or so. Love the sound, remote and the bluetooth capabilities.

I think this is a great product for the money. No one is using CD's anymore and this head unit provides exactly what I need BT and flashdrive port.
Pairing took 30 seconds and was super easy with my I-Phone. Connected it to MB Quart marine amplifier and Kenwood speakers - sounds great!

Works well. Easy to pair to the bluetooth. I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination so I just wanted something that would pick up radio stations and make music come out of speakers. This does that and is a very reasonable price

Great sound and is easy to install. It has already lasted a full season on the water.
This is an update: the radio did not work after winter storage. Now I am unsatisfied and I change my rating to 2 stars.
