Gonna have to give this a 4, because we have been spoiled by tv mounts that allow you to hang the wall bracket, & tv bracket separately. Definitely not a 1 person job with this one!
All of our tv mounts allow you to hang 1 part to the wall, and the other part is mounted to the tv, and then the tv portion is slide into place on the wall portion. Kind of like a how a door hinge works - with 1/2 on the door, 1/2 on the wall. When made that way - hanging a tv can be a 1 person job as long as they can handle the weight of the tv while they slide the tv bracket into the wall bracket.
This one makes for a 2 person mounting job because you have to hold the tv up to the mount, and then screw the bracket on the tv to the wall mount bracket without dropping the tv. Can be done by 1 person, but definitely easier, & safer for the tv if 2 people work together. 1 holding the tv up, & 1 screwing it all together.
We chose to use the 2x4 board method to spread the weight of our tv (55”) to 2 wall studs. There are directions included for how to attach the board to the wall, & mount the tv to it.
We do recommend this tv mount. It is nice, & stable. We definitely like it now that the instillation is over!

I always bought the double arm TV wall mounts. Unless I upgrade my TV to a 65"+, this one works very well for me. Plus I am using an extra TV as a Computer Monitor for my video production. It was easy to install, they give you a level, cable velcro straps and all the hardware you need. It took me 20 minutes, from unboxing to mounting the plate on the TV (the TV wall mount separates into 2 parts), drilling 3 small holes into a stud per the wall mount plate and then securing the TV to the mount. Very Easy. Will be buying a few few more. Definitely Recommended.
This was easy to assemble and install. I had no issues with the hardware supplied. None of the phillips head screws stripped on me when installing the bracket on the back of the TV, and I used a cordless DeWalt drill/driver to screw them in. The supplied lag bolts looked like good quality to me and did not snap when screwing in with 10mm socket. The mount features tilt adjustments, and being able to adjust it from side to side, which is forgiving if you were a little off center when installing the mount to the wall stud. I mounted an older Vizio LCD which is alot heavier than the new LED TV's, and it's holding up fine. I'd definitely buy again, and would recommend this to others.
Purchased one to install a 32" tv in my daughter's room. Instalation was pretty easy - just make sure it's leveled when you screw it to the stud. Even if you don't get it perfect leveled you have room to level thr tv once it's mounted. Liked so much that I'm purchasing another one for my room - not sure if I will a 40" or 47". Little worried about using the 47" because some reviews state that the arm doesn't take a heavy tv very well. We'll see... will update this review soon.
Update: purchased another unit to install my 47" tv. Too heavy for the mount - tv won't stay leveled. Ended up installing a 40" tv, which I believe it's the heaviest this mount can take without being off-level. Still a 5-star product due to its cost/benefit ratio.
I just finished ordering a 2nd one of these! I purchased a TV at a well known store and they talked me in to getting a fancy bracket that “their installers use.” It was $80. Once we got it up we were VERY disappointed in how little the TV would swivel without hitting the wall. Then I found this beauty on Amazon. What a find! I took the other one down and mounted this one. I am nothing but delighted! It was amazingly easy to install. It is sturdy and well made. It holds our 39” TV with no trouble at all. I would trust it with a larger TV in a second. It tilts and swivels all ways indicated in the description. The TV also is almost able to be perpendicular to the wall, not quite but close.

Packaging and instructions made it dummy proof. each kind of screw, bolt and washer were packaged individually by type and labeled with a big letter. Installed 2 of them, one for a 32 inch tv. took me 15 minutes by myself. The second was for a 49 inch TV installed in a corner using the articulating arm. It took a little longer and you should have a second person to at least guide you with the actual mounting of the TV. Solid steel construction, very versatile. This was the least expensive option for a TV wall mount compared to the other ridiculously expensive ones, and the most exceptional product out there. It's easy to install (idiot proofed). The only modification I made was I had to replace the mounting screws because my wall stud was not where I need it to be, so I had to buy toggle bolts for the hollowed space behind the drywall. I am very satisfied with the product and will definitely buy again given the chance. Excellent quality construction and nice design. I purchased two of these and hung a 55 inch sony bravia and a 42 inch Samsung. I was a bit concerned because these were relatively inexpensive, but they are built solid and even handle the heavy sony with ease. I would recommend or buy again without hesitation. I use Amazon allot for a variety of purchases including things like this that I find in the big box stores that are overpriced. My expectation, and experience is for many of the older model TV’s I have purchased, I will need to adapt the mount in some way or another. All of my 30 inch sets in the bedrooms, mounts I have purchased I had to drill and adapt, plus make a trip or two to the hardware store to “make it fit”. For this latest set, I bought a used 42” LG set from a relative to put in the basement. My grandkids were wanting a bigger set for their XBOX. The opportunity to buy the set at a good price came up, so I purchased it. Now the problem was finding a mount for this LG. I searched Amazon by model number, and up came this mount. I had not heard of this brand, but Amazon said it would fit. When it arrived it was well packaged, and low and behold it had everything needed. Multiple sizes of screws, adapter plates, everything lined up. Like a good husband I didn’t even bother with the directions. Only problem I had was adjusting the tilt. Like a good husband again, I asked my wife to help and read the directions, tell me what I am doing wrong. She did, and that issue was over. This set was placed high on the wall in a corner so the tilt and need for it to articulate like the mount allows, was important. The wall bracket even had a built in level. So all I had to do was measure down from the top hole of the bracket to allow for enough room from the ceiling, locate wall studs, mount the wall plate and get some help lifting the TV, while we hung it. Just follow the instructions I learned. The mount even came with an HDMI cable, unbelievable. Works great and the grandkids are enjoying their games even more on rainy days.

This took me longer to set up than it probably should have, but I didn't have a stud finder previously and had to go purchase one. Once I got everything needed, install probably took half an hour.
One nice detail of this wall mount is that there's a level included, but there's also a small level built into the mount itself. This is incredibly helpful when putting the mount on the wall.
I was also impressed with the ease of putting the TV onto the mount.
Once up, it's sturdy and I don't have to worry about my tv falling off the wall.
The only small bother I have with it is that the middle bendy arm is a little stiff to move. The other two move just fine, but the middle piece is a little resistant. Nothing too serious, just a minor inconvenience.
