In all of my years on Earth, I've never eaten a York Peppermint Patty. For some reason the idea of chocolate and mint turned my stomach and made me feel sick. As a young teen, my big sister bought me chocolate/mint candy for Christmas and it hurt her so much when I was grossed out of the idea of eating them. Since then I tried hard to get used to eating chocolate and mint. I started with plain mint candies, moved on to mint tea and a few decades later I was eating an After-Eight mint once in a blue moon. Another decade passed and I got a hankering to try these York's. Bought 2 boxes and was going to learn to love them. No problem, I love these things!
This is over 5 pounds of candy! It has a convenient opening in the box so you can open and close it easily, and grab a candy when you want. It would be great for office (or home) settings. I took my first candy and looked at it. It has
shiny silver Mylar around the candy and notches to easily tear the packet open. It's dark chocolate coated, about the size of a silver dollar and about 4 quarters thick. I took my first bite, the inside mint part is white, firm yet soft (not liquidy or oozy like other types of chocolate covered mints I've had), and the candy melts in your mouth. These are addictive and the mint is perfect -- Although I would like if they could make an extra mint flavor as well. One is good, two is delightful and three will fill you up; any more than that and it's over-kill (ask me how I know). I love these in the evening after dinner. They are refreshing and seems to settle my stomach after the evening meal.
I wasn't sure how others would like these but one night I brought a bundle to Bible study class and everyone LOVED them...they were gone really fast. Those 2 boxes are going quickly and I just ordered 2 more. They are a nice treat to bring as a gift or to hand out to others. Make sure you keep enough for yourself.
Being a dark chocolate nut case I've had a thing about YORK Peppermint patties for years. This size container makes satisfying my craving a bargain! Now a word of caution: If you buy this product during the time of year it is hot, get the box out of the heat ASAP. Though the product is well insulated and three ice packs are thrown in for good measure chocolate just doesn't fair well in prolonged heat. Enjoy!
A business was actually founded having people put these boxes in business offices, hoping that the employees would actually pay on the honor system. Sure...Well, you trust yourself so you can buy these mints for home use. The great thing is they're individually wrapped so you don't have to worry about bugs, plus you can just have 1 or 2. They are the epitome of rich minty flavor, a nonpareil candy experience. With self-control, you can have them out providing candy goodness for quite some time. The problem only arises when you take the box into your TV or computer room, start enjoying them without stopping, and take in way too many. I confess I've done that, and the months long presence of this candy box turned into days. Guilty as charged...
If you really like York patties this may be just what you've unknowingly wanted. This is a large retangular box which can be opened and used as a dispenser. They are very fresh and have a long BB date. These are snack size (abt 1 inch across) which is ideal as a pick me up abt 3pm. Only problem I can foresee is if you get hooked and only ordered 1 box it will probably too ht to reorder when they run out. Life's hard hmm? ;)
These little mints are absolutely addicting ! This is my 2nd order for two boxes since 10/23/17. Still eating from the last box of first order but at this price I wanted to make sure I had plenty in stock especially for the Holiday Season. The boxes measure approximately 12" tall by 6" squared, pretty good sized box. The expiration date on this last order is 8/2018--they'll be long gone by then :) If the price stays consistent I will continue ordering these. Would recommend these.

Wow this is a good deal. The box is huge, and the authentic mints arrived in good condition.
The wrappers are foil. Taste great.
This is going to take some time to eat through.
Update 7-6-17
I am now on my third box order and all is well. For summer it comes heavily insulated and ice packs.
I got these at a great price and was surprised to see they were delivered in a small styrofoam ice chest with an ice pack inside. This kept the chocolate cool and was really impressive considering the low price I paid for these. Best of all, they taste fresh and have a good consistency. I was worried they might be old stock, but it doesn't appear to be the case.
So I said to myself, "Have I ever been offered a York Peppermint Patty and not wanted one?" Answer: No. Sure it's a ridiculous amount but everyone that visits love to eat one or two. Also, no one ever eats more than 3... these seem to be the perfect little treat.
I bought these ‘Yok Peppermint Patties’ with their change maker stand for our daughter as a Christmas gift. She has one weakness and that is York peppermint patties so I thought these might last her a while but they were gone in a little over a month LOL Now she wants more for Easter

Better flavor than any "fancy" high end brand. This was my special treat while on bedrest! Now I order as gifts for any friend/family just to make them smile.
