This is not a vegan product. Eggs and milk used. I probably won't be ordering this again for that reason. It is a good product, tasty. I have written the company suggesting that they could substitute plant products for the egg and milk that is used. It would open up a whole new group of buyers for them.
Yuuuummmm. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. Sorry. Yum. I am a big fan of pretty much every veggie meat, but this is one of the most unique and delicious. It is full-flavored because of marinating in sauce and it's a great main dish to pair with some vegetables and potatoes (yeah, I know potatoes are vegetables, but do you picture them with I say "vegetables"?).
I am not religious, but i come from an SDA family .The SDA's have done fake meats longer than anyone, and they seem to do it best . I've been eating these since i was a kid .
I love this product! One of my favorite ways to prepare it is diced and added to rissoto with a mushroom cream sauce. My mom used to bread it and fry it and then make a sandwich. (We bread and fry everything in the South.) The texture is different (less dense) than chicken but at least you know that no chickens were killed in the production of this product. The flavor is delicious!
This is the best tasting fake chiken I’ve ever had. We eat it for thanksgiving and Christmas etc. easy to cook alternative. It is more of a comfort food than a health food.
