After a recent week long trip to the coast, I'm "hooked" on Fish Bites. I read the reviews on here and thought I'd give it a shot. It did work amazingly well. I used regular shrimp and the Fish Bites Shrimp a lot during the week. This product performed just as well as the regular shrimp. The pompano and pin fish loved it. I didn't pull in any monsters, but the hits on it were very consistent.
My sons also used it quite a bit. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the mesh inside does keep the bait on the hook longer. This was really helpful for my boys who didn't have to rebait their hook every bite or cast. They were able to spend more time with their lines in the water. This was especially helpful for my youngest, whose attention span is not the longest. He sticks with the fishing more when he is casting and reeling, not walking back and forth to get more bait.
I still use natural bait a lot, but I certainly keep this in my tackle box as an option. It's also great because it doesn't smell, and you can keep it for a long time.
A couple of hints: when the bait has worn away, the mesh is hard to get off of the line. Just tugging/pulling at it- not going to work. Have a small pair of clippers (I used my line cutters) to cut it off helps tremendously. Secondly, don't get it wet! This stuff becomes incredibly slick. Even if your fingers are wet, it's hard to get enough grip to pull it over the hook. I had one pack open laying on the ground and a large wave ran way up the shore washing over my tackle. It filled up one pack that I had not sealed shut. I thought I would be able to salvage it, but it was hopeless.
All in all, I am thoroughly pleased with Fish Bites Shrimp.
The product is amazing. I typically catch multiple fish on a single piece because it stays on the hook for a very long time. I usually end up removing it from the hook when I feel it is no longer effective because it does not wash off on its own. My experience is only with surf fishing.
Excellent "artificial" bait. Went fishing at Gulf Shores and caught 11 fish in 3 days. The bait is consistently successful and very appealing to a large range of fish -- I caught: Whiting, Sail Catfish, and Red Drum. The bait WILL STAY ON THE HOOK after several casts and several nibbles due to its internal mesh fabric used that is impregnated with the shrimp attractant. Would definitely buy and use this product again. A+++++
Caught 34 fish and then my dog ate the remaining. Stays on the hook. One thing you should bring a small scissors in your tackle box to cut off the thread when the fish bait melts off.
Just wish they had more. Caught lots of fish with these.
Pros: catch a ton of fish
Cons: Hard to removed from hook due to the sheet that is used to keep it on the hook.

I’ve used BANG attactant spray, gulp recharge, bait butter, crappie bites, trout nuggets, and nothing works better than these things. I use a DOA shrimp with a fishbite cut in half on the hook and it barely hits the water before getting bites. The mesh also keeps pinfish from stealing it. If baitfishing, using a small circle hook with just a sliver of fishbites will pull pinfish in as a fast as you can cast out.
These things catch fish when nothing else will. No mess, no hassle, just cut your size and hook them up.
we havent used it much but my wife caught a 8 pound snapper with it. it is good against baitstealers but they still will destroy your bait. it just takes longer than with normal baits.
I use these in the shrimp. You can catch fish from Delaware to the Keys. My wife loves putting small chunks on to a super small hook and catching ballyhoo for bait . A must have for your tackle box.
This stuff is like magic. I used it surf fishing and it stays on the hook all day and catches fish. I was fishing next to a guy using all kinds of fresh bait and he was catching nothing. I hooked up and landed 25 over the course of 2 days.
