[Ryzen & GTX 1060 Edition] SkyTech Shadow Gaming Computer Desktop PC Ryzen 1200 3.1GHz Quad-Core, GTX 1060 3GB, 8GB DDR4 2400, 1TB HDD, 24X DVD, Wi-Fi USB, Windows 10 Home 64-bit

This is my first "Gaming" PC that I bought without assembling myself. At first what drew me to it was the price, it was quite reasonable when compared to buying the components individually. As I looked deeper though other things caught my eye. The number of USB 3.0 ports (its hard to find a PC with 5 of them) and the GTX 1050 Ti, while not high end, scored decently on benchmarks compared to some of the AMD Cards I saw in other builds.
PROS:
* Build construction is top notch. There were no loose screws or rattling bits inside. The PC Fired up the first time without issue.
* The Mobo is top notch, the number of USB ports is great there is room for expansion of the RAM up to 32GB (16x2). I immediately bumped mine up to 16GB and have not regretted it.
* The video card is solid. I run Overwatch at 60FPS on High/Very High with ease and Battlefield 1 at over 60 FPS on Ultra. Less graphically intense games like Diablo 3 and Minecraft near the 100 FPS mark.

CONS:
* There are no available PCI slots for upgrades like a fixed WiFi card (it comes with a dongle, which I found had a fairly weak range) or capture card.
* There is only one 5.25" front bay occupied by the DVD player it comes with. This strikes me as odd because the tower itself is huge. It seems a large portion of space is being occupied by the front LED silliness and a single front facing 3.5" bay (which I suppose you could fit a front bay of USB ports into as this model has them on top but not front).
* The Power supply is a bit weak should you, in the future, wish to upgrade the video card. Really 500 Watts is minimal and I would really like to see companies defaulting to 750 or 800 Watt supplies, the price difference is so minimal but the performance increase is great.
* No built in Bluetooth. This is minor, but something that adds a lot of functionality to a PC.
* The included keyboard is not worth keeping. The keys are very stiff and its over all appearance is a bit goofy. The media buttons are nice, but my spacebar squeaked out of the box. I immediately replaced it with a Razer Blackwidow. The mouse is also a bit flimsy, since it has no weight balancers you can put in it I found it very light and easy to toss about.

Very good computer for the price. I suppose a short summary that will answer most people's most common questions will suffice.

Gaming performance:
- Battlefield 1: 60+ FPS
- Witcher 3: 60+ FPS in the wilderness, about ~30 FPS in Novigrad (very playable, but definitely noticeable if you are OCD)
- Cities Skylines: Ultra Graphics, 60+ FPS up to a population of 70,000, noticeable drop at 100,000 (due to graphics card RAM limitations)
- Total War II Rome: ~40 FPS for two 20-unit armies at High graphics, definitely drops to 15 FPS once more than 30-ish unit armies are on the field (mainly limitation of graphic card RAM)

The largest limitation of the computer components is the graphic card. A GTX 1060 is by no means weak, but the 3 GB VRAM means that the hard limit is RAM rather than processing power. Upgrade path should ideally be to a GTX 1080Ti with a 4 or 8 GB RAM.

Thos computer is super quiet compared to my old one. Fast boot up and plays WoW on highest settings at 60fps. Had a minor issue when it arrived with the wrong fan installed on the back (was black and not blue as in the picture). Skytech quickly responded to my email and i already have a new fan on its way. Will buy again from Skytech.

I’m not good at computers or finding what’s good so I asked my brother to find me a good computer for gaming with a fair price. He used to build computers so he knows his stuff. And he found me this one. Quiet drive, runs smoothly. Great game graphics. Good size. I was worried it’ll be huge but it’s the perfect size. Seriously no complaints, 100% satisfied. Would recommend.

This is the first desktop PC I have purchased and I have really enjoyed it. I bought this on amazon prime day so that it was even discounted more than usual. I got this product for about 200 dollars cheaper than the original price. This was a huge driving point for me when I purchased the GTX 1050 Ti. I come from a console background so, being able to see a major improvement in quality and graphics is really nice to have. My roommate has a more expensive computer that he put together himself and it does out preform mine, but with the price I got it for it was defiantly worth it. His computer was about 500 dollars more than mine was and that is why it easily out performs mine. When I first bought it I was expecting that I was going to have to buy a different mouse and keyboard. With the purchase of the GTX 1050 it was super nice that they included that with the computer. It is currently weird using the mouse and keyboard because I have always played on the console and controller. Although I will probably end up replacing both in the future it was still nice to have it when I first started it up. I am currently playing mutable different games and I am loving the quality of them. With there being so many positive things there are also some negatives. The first negative of the GTX 1050 is the fact that it doesn’t have a large power supply. This will not allow you to customize your PC if you do not purchase a bigger power supply as well. Another negative is the average graphics card that it comes with. This is not a high preforming graphics card that can run all games at a high level. However, that is kind of represented with the price point with the PC. If you pay for a high priced computer, then you will receive a nicer graphics card. Overall, I gave this GTX 1050 a 4 out of 5 stars, because I thought it was a well put together computer that was awesome at its price point.

As the headline says, you get a good, quality computer for the price you pay. The blue LED lights on the computer are tastefully done and makes the desktop look slick and clean. The keyboard is also very appealing, but it has a narrow enter key and the keys are a bit harder to push down than you might desire. The mouse is light, which is good to note. The GPU (1050 Ti) is enough for 1080p gaming but may run lower frame rate at more graphic intense games. The cable management is very well done. It is neat and hides the cables.

There are a few problems with the computer though. The WiFi chip is slow and requires the purchase of a WiFi antenna or faster chip. The motherboard, while being enough for what the desktop holds, is not very great for upgrading. Being only a micro-ATX board, it only has room for a max of 32 ram or 2 ram slots. There is no crossfire or SLI support either.

Pros:
Decent Starting computer
comes with a gaming keyboard and mouse
comes with wifi adapter
decent FPS on games like GTA V with LSPDFR (the police mod) installed with multiple scripts and vehicle mods installed at highest settings.
fast and reliable
ability to change the speed of the fan
you get a 10 dollar amazon gift card if you make a review after you receive it by emailing them after review publish. (no matter how many stars you give it)
Cons:
wifi adapter doesn't work well with satilite internet
you don't get the lag-free gaming variant of the wifi adapter (which requires you to buy a third party wifi adapter like i did)
Keyboard LED light up is on sides and doesn't really show anything cool
Can't change LED color or turn it off only the LED audio between breathe mode and still mode
Doesn't come with monitor so i had to pay an extra hundred dollars on a new monitor
this is minor but the keyboard is a little funky and you will have to get used to it if your not already

Arrived late afternoon Sunday just as promised. I have to say that I was very nervous when waiting for the package to arrive. The packaging was secure, clean, and simple. However, the company’s branding was in bold letters(not good if you’re trying to be discreet), but the design was nice. I opened it up to find everything in tact. Unscrewed the window and took a look at all of the internals, which were all neatly in place. No monitor yet, so ended up testing it on my 4K tv. Windows installed with no issues and I didn’t really see any bloatware. I’m not super pc gamer, but I do dedicate a lot of my time to the sims 4 and Photoshop.? Everything installed with ease and it ran smooth on ultra settings. Also, I do use a ton of custom content and have all of expansions too, so this made me especially happy. I would recommend to everyone looking for somewhere to start. Thank you both skytech and Amazon for providing an affordable option for gamers!

I have been using this to play Eve Online since I received it (2 months). I will say that it does pretty well playing the game on full graphics settings. I have also used it with World of Tanks and World of Warships. These games are night and day different with the new graphics card vs my old machine.

The only two primary complaints I have on this item are:
1) The item does not come with it's own (internal) wifi adapter. Instead you have to purchase one or rely on the USB adapter provided with this purchase. There have been at least 3 occasions so far where the USB adapter has stopped working and the only way for me to get it to work again was to use a different USB Port.

2) There have been a few occasions (3) where the computer has crashed. Been a few other occasions where for unknown reasons, so far, my monitor has lost connection. The only way I have been able to correct the crashes is with the reset button on the top of the case. One time it failed to reboot when I used it. The only way I could shut it down and restart it on that occasion was to actually pull the power cord.

One other thing came to mind about this while writing, the video card does not accept the standard monitor adapter nor did it accept the DVI adapter I had. I had to get a specific HDMI adapter to use the monitors I had. I suppose for those who are running the top of the line monitors this wouldn't be a problem.

Lastly, The keyboard is kind of cool with the extra features (buttons) it has. Unfortunately I feel they try and put too much in too small of a place. I would prefer a larger keyboard, but this is a personal preference and not really much of a design flaw. I do wish the primary return key would be full length on the bottom and shorter on the top (revers L shape). Instead it's more of an upside down L, so I quite often end up hitting \ instead of return.

Do love the new mouse and do like the led color rotation.

8/10..... I'm mostly happy with my newish computer. Had it three months now so wanted to wait to write a review till I've really gotten comfortable with it. Couple things though- one of the USB ports on the top of the PC doesn't work- it won't recognize any devices (wireless keyboard, mouse, cam or external HDD.. ect.) and is useless. So, that sucks. I need to reopen the case and see if something's loose but I haven't looked yet so could be a very easy fix. Was packaged very well but is possible I guess. There are ample USB ports elsewhere so it's not a huge deal but having a dead port from day one is pretty lame. Also disappointing/surprising was that the box said EXACTLY what was in it- specs and all, printed on the outside of the shipping box. Glad I don't live somewhere that has rampant mail theft. 'Cause the box screams: 'WHAT'S UP GAMERS! THIS IS A NEW GAMING COMPUTER BRO AND THIS IS WHAT IT DOES AND HOW FAST IT DOES IT! IT'S BADASS AND LIGHTS UP AND HELL YEAH!'
.......Worked out for me but could see how that would cause issues for others. The mouse is basic- lights up but I like my old wireless one better. The USB ports on the back work fine so I plugged it into the back and scooted closer to the desk. The keyboard it comes with is still in it's box after three months. Feels really cheap and orange and clunky...and it's fairly ugly too. Good to include though- you can literally open up the big box and be on your way in about an hour. But you don't buy this PC for the keyboard and mouse anyway.

My eight year old computer had so many outdated bits of hardware and had so many things replaced that it was just time to upgrade the entire thing. I'm not a hardcore -tech-savvy girl but I have a general idea of what I wanted to get. I picked out a few PCs and asked my super-professional-tech-savvy family member help me narrow it down to a PC that would be "future-proof" for at least 6 years. He picked out three and this PC was deemed best value for the money and upgradeable after that. Besides the little bit that doesn't work, I'm happy with it.

As for the PC itself, it's much faster than what I had and can play tons more games and stream them to the world without issue. High benchmark scores for the games I've tested so far. If you're actually reading this, you know computers become outdated incredibly fast so... is it the fastest, newest, most amazing "gaming rig" ever? No. But for under a grand? It's great.
