The classic (and required) ingredient of the infamous Sazerac cocktail. The 5oz bottle is the standard bitters size (it's about 5" high) so it should last awhile and sit neatly on anyone's bar. The only downside is that it isn't called for in many other cocktails (not like Angostura is), but its fruitier and anise-like character can be put into any cocktail which is asking for a fruit-forward bitter and Peychaud's is especially good in Rye, Cognac, or Brandy. Cheers!
Hard to find but worth it. Makes many drinks come to life. A great no cal summer drink is to fill a glass with lots of ice and add club soda, a big slice of orange and several shakes of Peychaud's bitters. Yum!
I live in one of the larger metro areas, but it's hard to find Peychaud's Bitters in even the larger liquor stores. Peychaud's is a wonderful product and an important ingredient in many famous cocktails (Serazac, for example). Most happy to be able to buy Peychaud's from Amazon and make the cocktails that are popular in this golden age of cocktails. Since you only use a few drops of bitters in cocktails, my bottle should last a long time.
Exactly what your looking for
Original Peychaud's bitters, perfect for making a sazerac.
Slight Rhubarb flavor in the background, but awesome change from Angustoura, which I still use.

Description
In the early 1800's Antonie Amedie Peychaud an apothecary gained fame in New Orleans not for the drugs he dispensed but for the compounding of a liquid tonic called bitters. These bitters good for what ailed one irrespective of malady gave an added zest to the potions of cognac brandy he served in his pharmacy. Cognac had long been a popular drink in the numerous coffee houses of New Orleans and presently customers began demanding their brandy spiked with a dash of the marvelous Peychaud's Bitters. The zest Peychaud's Bitters give drinks and food has given it an honored place in famous gourmet recipes the world over.
I like the taste of these bitters with gingerale. I shake a lot into my glass. Its very effective for upset stomach, more so than the other leading brand.
This is the brand the bartender uses. Adds a nice bit of zip to tequila drink
Good stuff and couldn't find it locally at any store.
