I ordered these to flavor the filling of my chocolate log roll. The recipe I used called for these, as using fresh or frozen berries will make the filling turn out runny. The flavor was amazing, as good as fresh. The log was a hit at Christmas dinner, with a ganache covering and fresh raspberries for garnish. I used the leftovers to make a second cake, with raspberry filling. So delicious.
This is the first time for me trying the Natierra Nature's All Foods Freese=Dried Blueberries. Shipping was prompt. Packaging was fine. The blueberries actually taste great. I love freeze dried fruit, and dried fruit. The only, only drawback is the staining. I originally started eating with my fingers, which then stained blue. My lips stained blue, and then my teeth. Hard to get off. I really liked this product. So, I bent the bag and continued to eat..just dumping them in my mouth. I would consider ordering this product again because of the taste, and nutrition. Just be alert of the staining factor and take measures to counteract the residue.
I ran this product listing through Fakespot just to see what their automated system made of the reviews, and interestingly enough it gave them an F for for the quality of reviews on the product and the possibility of review manipulation. I'm glad I decided to take the risk and order them anyway, because they're pretty good. I've eaten a back and a half thus far, and have rather enjoyed them.
One interesting note: I received white bags that had citric acid on the ingredients list in addition to the freeze dried bananas. You don't really taste the citric acid, so it's not a big deal.
These are delicious. They are somewhat tart, which is how I like my raspberries. The bag is full with unbroken berries, not too many crumbles in the bottom of the bag. I actually bought these to crumble & add to my melted 60% dark chocolate (Ghirardelli baking chips) to make chocolate candy. I have been adding craisins with nuts to the melted chocolate. The craisins have too high a sugar content. I drop the melted chocolate mixture in quarter sized pieces onto a wax paper covered cookie sheet. I then place in the frig to harden. I then store the chocolate pieces in a bag in the frig because it won't re-harden at room temp after melting. This makes a much cheaper version & better tasting chocolate candy piece than store bought Dove. I can vary the add-in nut options, coconut pieces, dried fruit, etc. I also find that I won't sit & eat the entire bag as I know I will have to go to the trouble of making another batch. This keeps me from binge eating chocolate which is my weakness. I can't wait to add these to my next batch of chocolate candy, if I can keep from eating them before I make the candy!
I ordered these to have a non-perishable, healthy snack for kayaking days... and because I love the light crunch of freeze-dried fruit. Bananas (along with chocolate, coffee, tea, cotton and others) are something where organic and fair-trade make a huge difference for the environment and for the workers farming them, so I was thrilled to find these. Notes on Their Labeling: I don’t see anything on the label that indicates it contains potassium, but in researching it does not appear that freeze-drying destroys that, so I don’t know if it’s just an oversight. Seems from some other reviews there may sometimes be labeling issues with this company’s products (like the calories per serving don't line up with the calories or serving size on my fitness tracking app, the package says gluten-free but fine print says produced in a facility that processes wheat, so not sure if they guarantee no cross-contamination for those with severe allergies). My first order from them had packaging that stated it was fair-trade. The second implied it on the back but didn't state it. Anyway, it appears to be an ethically produced product, they were tasty with nice texture, and the bags I got had a generous amount in them, so 5 stars for my needs.

This was my first time trying this product and I really enjoyed them. I do think they would taste better with a dark chocolate cover then the lighter chocolate, but that is personal preference.
My only complaints are, I think for the quantity they are a bit on the high price. I will have to see if they sell them in a larger quantity.
My other complaint was Amazon shipped them with other items and crushed many of the bags I bought. I cannot blame the product, but I am very surprised Amazon, who usually does a stellar job at everything, didn’t think to pack these with lighter products I had purchased.
Still, I did enjoy them and recommend. Oh, check out the ingredients to be sure there is nothing in there you might want to avoid.
Enjoy!!
I love these strawberries! I put them in cereal all the time. They are fresh, bright, and crispy. Not bland or chewy like some inferior brands. This brand is in my top 2 favorites for freeze-dried berries, along with Simply Balanced brand. Simply Balanced is a bit cheaper, but unfortunately you can only get that brand at Target. Yes, these are expensive for how little you get, but I've never really seen cheap freeze-dried fruit. The strawberries are actually 70 cents cheaper here on Amazon than at my local grocery store.
These freeze-dried raspberries are larger than I expected. They're crunchy and full of sour/sweet flavor, but difficult to eat as a snack. I can't just munch on them because of the texture and flavor I think. However I think the quality is fine for what it is. I plan to use these raspberries in my herbal tea blends. To see what it tasted like, I popped a raspberry right into the lemon verbena tea I was drinking, and it added a wonderful, subtle fruity flavor to it. You should try it, especially if you don't love eating the raspberries the way they are.
Holy moly this stuff is good. I almost literally felt as if I could not stop myself from eating this.
The taste is beautiful, the texture is great.
I just used these beautiful and delicious whole freeze dried raspberries for chocolate mendiants, and they were fantastic.
Mendiants are the name for relatively thin chocolate disks that have a jewel-like mosaic of nuts, fruits, or seeds on top.
I used one of these stunning berries with some maple roasted hazelnut pieces on a recent batch for a decadent and stunningly attractive treat.
