I've had this backpack for about two months so far and I love it! When I first started searching for bags I wanted a Herschel backpack until I looked at the price tag. This was at least $40-$60 cheaper, looks exactly the same to me, and is even more functional. I bought this with the intention of school use, but it would definitely work perfect for hiking or travel too. In the past I would always choose my bags based on style, but now I look more for comfort and want what's good for my back. It has a lot of padding on the back of the bag along with the straps, and in my opinion is still very stylish and trendy. It was taller than what I had expected, but I don't think it's too big or bulky. I can fit several binders or books with a laptop at the same time and still have plenty of space on top, even for my lunch bag. There are 3 pockets on the inside, a deep, larger one and two smaller pockets for a phone/wallet/etc. I use the outer side pockets for water bottles and my umbrella, there is even a strap you can tighten to ensure nothing will easily come out. I have a large 1-liter water bottle that I use frequently but won't fit, so if I could change one thing it would be to have the side pockets a little larger. However, my 750-mL CamelBak water bottle or any other typical water bottles will fit (picture is included for size reference). I especially like how secure everything is. To close the main compartment, there is both a drawstring and magnetic straps, and the small, outer pocket on the front has both a zipper and magnetic straps. I'm obsessed with the style, I can pretty much use this for anything, and I'm so glad I chose Nylon Red. I would probably recommend choosing Nylon over Canvas material since it is more durable. Great purchase!
So incredibly happy that I purchased this backpack for my trip to China last month. It kept my belongings safe and secure (macbook / canon camera etc) and stayed in perfect condition all throughout numerous airports/ rigorous security checks, flights, hotels and train rides. I'm very excited to use it on future adventures as well, I definitely recommend if you're looking for something of great quality and is super stylish.

Extremely sturdy and well-made. It went on a combined 34 hour airplane ride, 28 hours of bus ride and many hours on the train and car!
The bag is really nice and spacious inside and fit half my clothes for the trip, gadgets and my 3-1 jacket.
I love the pockets outside for easy access to important documents during my travel. The water bottle pockets on the side as well is a useful addition to the bag.
I definitely recommend this bag for it's design, material and price!
Absolutely loved this backpack. I bought it to take to Ireland and Scotland on vacation. It was the perfect size and worked well for an airplane carry on. Can fit a ton of stuff....I use now for weekend trips for all my clothes and such! The only issue I had is the drawstring started to shred, so I brought an extra drawstring to replace it. Very happy with the style and size of product. Would buy again.
Update: The company is dealing with the drawstring issue! Great customer service! Would recommend this back pack to anyone!

I bought this outdoor backpack for my girlfriend, because I thought she would like this style. Simple and modern. When we received the product, the quality is beyond our expectation.
The material is durable and solid, which would be perfect for outdoor use. Also, the volume is large enough to hold all necessary items for a week of outdoor adventures. It meets all my expectation for a outdoor backpacks, i.e. waterproof, scratch resistant. It can also be used on campus because it can hold all the books as well as the laptop you need for school things. When you fill it up and wear it, you will still feel comfortable because the cushion pad designed on the back can help absorb the pressure on your shoulder to your whole body. This is the amazing design for this kind of backpack. The suspensions are adjustable so you can fine-tune torso length. All of this leads to best-in-class comfort and carrying control. It's a super backpack. It's an improvement over the brand it copied because it has discrete side pockets that don't stick out unless you put something large in them. They are large enough for water bottles, so you can have ready access to them.
I don't use the lap top pocket for a laptop, but it helps to keep important papers separated. There are also two other small pockets inside where I can keep my spare train card and collapsible grocery bag. The rear pocket is useful for pens and other small items.
It's a great backpack I use everyday for commuting. I load it up with books, papers and often a ream of copy paper. The straps and padding make it comfortable to carry all day. I will use it in the summer for day hikes, too.
Lastly, the cloth is a tight-knit and thick canvas that repels water really well. I had bought a bar of wax to make the cloth into waxed canvas, but so far haven't used it. The cloth is also a nice charcoal black that is soft to the touch.
I have other compliments for this design, but I will stop here. : )
Update: they've agreed to replace my bag after a magnet went missing, even after 6 months had passed.
So like many that purchased this bag, I wanted to buy a Herschel but couldn't stomach the price tag for something that is exactly like this one. I bought it. My boss has an authentic Herschel identical to this one... He was shocked when I showed up with it (and the spare accessories bag.) It is everything the Herschel bag is, downgraded.
The shoulder straps aren't as thick as a Herschel and the inside pockets are in a different location, but who cares? I've had this bag for going on a month now and the ONLY downside is that it smells REALLY bad when it's wet (rain, sprinkler, etc.) I chalk that up to the weather proofing they likely hit this bag with post manufacturing. I've had to proactively treat it with Febreeze when I know it's going to be raining outside, hopefully something that will fade with the life of the product.
TLDR: Want a Herschel but don't want to pay the hefty price tag? Buy this. Embarrassed by plasticky smelling fabric when it gets wet? Grown a spine, but some Febreeze and still buy this one. There's literally no physical difference.
I'm a clotheshorse and reformed overpacker who is trying my best at minimalist travel. I brought this on a 2 week long Japan trek with my goal being no checked baggage, ease of hauling around, and room for my capsule wardobe and makeup items. It was trial by fire. My husband and I were on the go the whole time, staying in hostels, walking as much as possible, and slipping into small spaces :) I found it to be durable, secure, comfy to carry, and almost like a Mary Poppins bag with seemingly limitless storage capacity and slight stretch! Bonus points for being squishable enough to be stuffed into overhead compartments on planes and trains. I was able to fit 1 large packing cube full of clothes, 1 small packing cube of underwear and other essentials, 1 toiletry bag with makeup and skincare supplies, and still had a little room for other odds and ends I picked up along the way, if I didn't want to carry them in my purse. It's super cute aesthetically too, with a stripey interior and a similar style to the Herschel bags that seem to be popular nowadays. Recommended!
Arrival Time: As expected
No real cons, so far. Everything is as advertised.
PROS:
- The canvas looks and feels sturdy
- Two bottle pockets on the sides of the backpack
- The back is a bit padded so you don't have to feel everything digging into your back
- Some compartments on the inside for extra storage space
- Padded straps so they aren't cutting into my arms or shoulders when I swing the bag on
