My baby was exclusively breast-fed from birth but when my supply started to drop around 3-4 months. I needed to find some type of formula to supplement with. I tried every major brand, every type of powder and pre-mixed from enfamil and similac but he spit them out angrily. Then on a whim I bought this at Target, low and behold it was the first formula my son would take. I've been mixing 2 ounces of this formula with 4-5 ounces of breast milk ever since. Not only is it the only formula he'll take (he won't even during the powder version of the good start) but the more I read about it the more confident I became that it's the easiest to digest and best of the big 3 brands anyway. In addition the packaging materials state that it may help with eczema, which my son was struggling with. Ever since we started supplementing his eczema has cleared up almost entirely.
I even called Gerber to thank them and they provided me with a whole packet of coupons for future purchases, although I've found the Amazon Mom's program has the lowest overall price since you can buy a whole case of 24 at a time.
In the meantime I saw a lactation consultant and was able to get my supply back on track. We continue to supplement in case it drops again and to ease the burden on this working Mom. Breastfeeding is an awesome gift to your baby but it can also be incredibly stressful. My baby was not gaining enough weight so supplementing was the best choice for us.
Love the convenience of portable formula, great for the middle of the night or out on the boat or picnic. But if Amazon keep raising the cost, I will be going elsewhere for this purchase. Seems like as soon as you buy something more than twice on Amazon, the price goes up and you can find it elsewhere cheaper.
I love using this formula. My daughter took to it right away and loves it. It doesn’t have that strong weird smell and taste that other powered formula has. The best thing is not having to mix the powder and water! I just open it and pour. I even put the carton in the fridge if I’m not using it all at that time and I can use it later that night or the next day. You definitely can’t do that with powder formula. I even refrigerate any left over milk in the bottle and use it for the next feeding and it’s still good. I don’t waste any! It save so much money and it’s sooo much easier. When we go out I just grab one of these and it’s all good to go, just pour it in the bottle. I don’t know why more moms don’t use the ready made one. You would think it was more expensive but it ends up being cheaper. I just have a subscription on Amazon and every month it’s sent to me.
I love Gerber Liquid Formula better than the powder, but I do use both Gerber liquid and powder formula. The liquid formula is ready to use, no mixing or constant shaking like with the powder formula, and I find that my baby digests the liquid formula better than the powder. But I have a harder time finding Gerber liquid formula in stores. I found it here at Amazon & at Walmart (a bit cheaper at Walmart). This is my 3rd baby and I've always used Gerber formula, originally started as “Nestle Good Start " when I had my 1st child 15yrs. ago until Gerber bought out the brand. I do recommend this product to any parent willing to try.
We used this when my baby was first born, and continue to use it when we travel. It is seriously so easy to handle and use. The only problem is that it has to be used within 1 hour once opened unless refrigerated. So unless your baby is drinking the whole 8oz, it can be a pain to store it. Again, this is one of the few formulas that is suitable for vegetarians and is milk-based, so it was a big plus for us.

My little guy has been happily eating this, along with pumped breast milk, for 6 months. No gas, very little spit up, and no funky smell. Super convenient for the diaper bag. As others have mentioned, can be a little tricky to pour. I use Kiinde bags with no problem. After using this, I've never even considered using powdered formula. Just wish I could find this a bit easier, as the Babies R Us (obviously), Target and Walgreens near me no longer carry the ready to feed product.
Love these! I throw a few in my diaper bag with some bottles and use them when we are out and about. Only complaint is the spout for pouring out the liquid. It seems I always spill some when trying to pour into our wide-mouth bottles. Other than that, the boys seem to like the taste and they're handy.
My newborn drinks this formula since day ONE since I did not produce enough breast milk and is growing up to be a healthy happy baby! Whenever we visit the pediatrician she is perfect in all her evaluations and scores great in the charts!!! Love receiving all these items in bulk at my front door at a better price than any store without having to carry them or leaving my house.
My son has been using this formula since he has been 7 1/2 -8 months. I stopped breastfeeding and this was the only formula he would drink. I could not buy the powdered stuff but he would drink this stuff. Thank goodness. When I do order it arrives with out any leaking, or problems...
We have been using this formula for years for our babies. It’s easy to travel with. And no mixing. We subscribe by the case. New moms listen up! This SAVES time! And babies love it!!
