Cod Liver In Own Oil,4.3oz,10 pack

Cod Liver In Own Oil,4.3oz,10 pack

That's the 2nd time i've tried cod liver and i absolutely love it. The product is from Iceland. The company adds a little salt. it's in a peel-open can, which is nice to have. Here is a video i made. i hope it's helpful. Sabiene :)

I absolutely love the little tins of goodness, they are the ultimate portable lunch or snack. My preference is to eat it in an avocado, cucumber onion salad or somethig cruncy and jucy, but in a pinch it is nice on its own and it really packs a lot of nutrition in a very small tin. Takes little real state in any purse and gets me out of jams so I don't have to eat or feed junk to my family when away from home. But we do also indulge at homebecause its just so good. To us it's delicious, but I can imagine for some it's an acquired taste, its worth the effort.

I like that I can trust the quality too. Icelandic fish is superb and no funky ingredients to be concerned about.

All cans arrived in perfect shape, no dents. Product as expected. A delicious and healthy spread: 1 can of cod liver and oil, 1 or two hard boiled eggs, little bit of diced onion to taste, pepper, salt if wanted. Mash contents of can and egg yolks until smooth. Add smashed egg whites, onions, and spices. Enjoy!

I've never had liver before. I got these little tins as a way to supplement my attempt at a healthy carnivore diet and I'm super impressed! I eat the liver once a week and pour the excess oil into a little Tupperware container that I keep in the fridge. About once a day, I'll take a sip from the container. I hope liver becomes a more popular food on the whole because this can get expensive if you want to consume it more than once a week.

Reminds me of foie gras. I had purchased 10 cans with some trepidation, not having tried it before and finding cod liver oil supplements unpalatable, but this product is like foie gras, and the oil is light and fresh. I drank it right down, ate the liver with a fork, ravenously. Ordered 40 more cans. Recommend pacing consumption, though, this stuff has about 10x the RDA for Vitamin A per can and without balancing consumption of this vitamin A with the other fat-soluble vitamins and with Magnesium, potassium, chromium, calcium, etc could conceivably cause problems if eaten daily in quantity.

I notice other commenters complaining about the ratio of oil in the can vs. solid liver - If you have ever made foie gras chaud (pan-fried foie gras) you will know that cooking a fatty liver does not require extra grease on the pan - the liver yields quite a bit and shrinks accordingly, so if cooked even a little too much you end up with lots of oil and much less liver. This is cooked in the can, so even if they stuff it with liver and no oil, it will have a lot of oil after cooking. Besides, the oil is delicious in itself.

Description

Cod Liver in own oil4.3 oz. Produced from fresh Icelandic Cod Liver. Kosher Certified

It is my favourite cod liver type, and it is SOOO GOOD for your teeth! I can't afford a procedure right now, but as long as I am consuming some cod liver (including all its own oil) every day or so, I am pain free. If I forget, in about a week it returns.
The texture of this is soft and smooth and its free from hard spices, always comes fresh, yummy! Vitamins powerhouse!
I am now getting these in a local store slightly cheaper, but taking into account this ships to your door, the price is right.

Soooo gooooood! Tons of liver and oil. I recommend this product! Felt a jolt of energy right away after eating only half the can!

I grew up in France and love this...been in the US for almost 40 years and never found it here. Went to Canada this past summer and found some there. Then I decided to look online to see if I could get some and this is where I found it. Thank you Amazon! It comes from Iceland.

The one made in Montreal taste better than this.

ice land is the only one making cod liver, it tastes really good but in small amounts.
