This stuff is great and contains b12 which is why I buy it. It tastes very similar to braggs and red star and you get FOUR TIMES as much as their shakers from the grocery store contain. It says LARGE SIZE but that’s not true, it’s as fine as the normal stuff if not finer. Five stars!
Great product, I simply knocked a star off because the weight vs volume listed on the package is wildly inaccurate, almost double the weight 1.5 tbsps really is (10g, not 16g), so this threw off a few recipes before I figured it out and wrote the correct amounts on the package, since I normally measure by weight. Recipes came out perfect once I corrected the weight vs volume discrepancy. This also throws the calories listed into question, I believe it's about 27 calories per tbsp, or 40 per 1.5 tbsps, using the weight they have listed, 16g being 60 calories.
Tastes AMAZING sprinkled on popcorn. I also made vegan mac n "cheese" with it and sweet potatoes! Hubby said it tastes the exact same, but didn't leave him feeling bloated and sluggish. Vegan friends, dairy free friends, you need this nooch! It's yummy and good for you!

I usually get Nutritional Yeast Flakes Kal Unsweetened Wonderful Nutty Flavor 22 oz but I took a chance and ordered this brand because it was slightly cheaper at the time (even though it comes with less). I think it tastes better. On the whole, i'd say it's not a huge difference but it does taste and smell noticeably better. The only thing i dislike about it is it comes in a bag instead of a canister but I just reused an old Kal canister.
Anyways, the serving size is slightly smaller too, which is fine with me because I use it like parmesan cheese and sprinkle it on salads and roasted veggies (so i don't use a whole lot at once). This way, it still feels like I get a lot of b-vitamins with just a teaspoon or two. I would take a B-supplement but for some insane reason, B supplements give me horrendous acne (seriously, they do that to some people) while nutritional yeast doesn't.
Update: I recently reordered and the flakes are way smaller--more like dust this time but I don't really care (still tastes great and the bag had the same amount as last time). If anything, I like this yeast even more because I finally noticed the bag and it made me laugh. This company's pretty awesome!

Amazing price for vegans or those who use a lot of nutritional yeast! I'm really impressed with the size of the bag. The flakes were large. The flavor was comparable to my Bragg's nutritional yeast, though the color was a little bit less vibrant. At half the price of Bragg's, I'm definitely going to keep buying this!
I bought this product specifically to help me regarding vitamin uptake because I have hyperthyroidism. The product is a power and is really delicious and great sprinkled on anything that would lend itself to a salty, cheesy, nutty taste or over a salad. I tried to just eat it directly and you can’t because it clumps up into a paste and sticks to your tongue and teeth like glue. So you must sprinkle it on something. Here’s the thing, my cats went nuts when I opened the bag and began licking the discarded top portion I tore away. Last night my cat went into the pantry and found the bag... I had just bought a case of high end cat food that he rejected. So I sprinkled some of this nutritional yeast on the cat food and he gobbled it down in a flash!
This nutritional yeast is exactly as advertised. I absolutely love the packaging! They definitely have a sense of humor, which I absolutely love. The yeast tastes great and the flakes are nice and tiny so you don't have to do anything other than grab what you need and sprinkle it on your food or use it for your recipe. The bag used minimal material, which I think is great because it causes a lot less wasted material.
Nutritional yeast is a bit of an acquired taste, but this particular brand is pretty good, so if you are just testing the waters, this is a good starting point. The Anthony's brand yeast is nice because it comes in flakes, rather than a finely ground powder, which means that it never clumps up. This makes it easier to spoon or measure.
To me, it tastes more or less like a mild cheese powder, and is therefore pretty good when sprinkled on a bowl of popcorn. I do have to be honest though.......I don't recommend adding it to a hot liquid, such as a soup or slow cooker stew, because it suddenly develops an unappealing wet-dog-fur odor. (Sorry!) Adding it to cold dips or dishes does not produce the same wet-dog effect.
The only real downside was that my bag had a faulty zip-lock closure, butt that wasn't the end of the world.
