This little alarm is surprisingly loud, I really like it. I bought it to install on my e-bike. I have a good cycling ABUS lock which also has an alarm but this little alarm is for quick stops, let’s say I stop at a convenience store to grab a Gatorade, I don’t want to get the lock out, find a fixed post and attach the bike, also this alarm will be a 2nd alarm whenever I locked my bike, the thief will be busy. The alarm comes with a remote (battery included) and the alarm itself (also batteries included). I installed the alarm module on the seat tube using the 2 zip ties, perfect location, and it’s black and blend with my bike. I adjusted the sensitivity to the middle i.e. “fa”. The alarm has 7 levels of sensitivity starting with “do” (highest) , “re”,”mi”,”fa”,”sol”,”la”,”si” (lowest). To set the sensitivity you press and keep your finger on the disarm button for 2-3sec then the remote light will display for a long pause. Then you press the arm button, you will hear the “do”, press again, “re” etc… once you find the sensitivity you like you leave it there, do nothing and the light will turn off, you are all set. Using the remote you can change the default alarm sound, I kept the default. Instructions are written in a broken English, so you have to read them several times to understand what they want to say. I definitely recommend this alarm, for the price this is a great value, not much out there to compare with in this price range.
*update 11/5/2018* I was not able to arm the alarm using my remote, the blue light on the remote worked so had to be the unit itself. I pried opened the case using a small flat screwdriver, make sure you remove the little screw first. Replace with fresh (3) AAA alkaline batteries and you are good to go.
I'm going to attach a video later so you can see what I mean. I can't add a video while making the review from my phone. In the video you will see me comparing this alarm to another bike alarm I bought off of Amazon a long time ago.
This product is a no brainer.
Edit: I added the video but unfortunately I forgot that my current phone, One Plus 3T, has audio recording issues and the volume of the alarm isn't properly represented in the video. I'm waiting for the One Plus 6T to ship to my house next week and I guess I'll do the video again if I get around to it. I just had to put in this effort because more people need this alarm for their movable property.
I was not sure what to expect for such a low price, but I was pleasantly surprised with it.. I just bought my first electric bike, I paid $1500 for the thing, you can imagine I really want to protect it from thieves. Ebikes are a super hot item for thieves from what I am told.
It is super sensitive, just touch the bike and it goes off. I was able to hide it inside of a plastic box that holds my electric motor controller.
Between having this alarm, a disc brake lock, and a chain/lock set up I feel secure leaving it outside of the mall for a 2 hour movie at the theatre.
People are amazed when they see me activate the alarm.. They have no idea how simple it really is.. I love it, and will put one on my next bike too.
** Followup ** I love this alarm on my bike after a few months of regular urban use. The batteries require three AAA and are easy to replace. I taped the alarm with a wrap of black duct tape below my water bottle cage and it stays secure in place with no rattle or shaking. I attached the remote to the key of my regular lock. Of course I use a bike lock, but this is piece of mind for about $20.

Really loud alarm. I had my road bike stripped while locked up outside my gym two weeks ago: handlebars, seat post, cut cables. It was a real pain and expensive to replace components. Obviously, the lesson is that a determined thief with tools can do quick damage. So I ordered this as an additional theft deterrent to my sturdy lock for the frame and wheels.
It is extremely loud, works well when armed, and goes off with nearly any movement of my bike. I couldn't be happier so far, especially at the price. I am using this alarm when I am out for only a few hours and I don't leave it armed all the time in my garage. I don't commute to work and leave it on all day. I suspect the battery would go dead before long if I just left it armed and batteries would be a hassle to change out.
It is so loud that it is painful to stand next to for any length of time. But never discount the determination of a bike thief. This is just one more deterrent and it is cheap and effective when your bike is exposed. It is certainly worth the $17 I spent on it.

Awesome alarm, only negative that comes to mind is the remote range is limited to a few feet
Installed it under the hood of an older car to discourage an inconsiderate neighbor from parking by Braille. Working so far according to the lack of fresh marks on my bumper.
I've been using this for a couple of weeks on my bicycle (zip tied to the luggage rack) and it performs as advertised. It has survived the shocks/vibrations of rough streets, curbs and rain. It's loud enough to draw the attention of bystanders relatively close (50 yrds?) and hopefully scare off potential thieves. If a house/room is not to noisy, it can be heard through an outside wall, if it is close. It is not loud enough to wake me through the wall when it's outside, so I still lock it when I'm away from it for any length of time, but for quick stops at stores I just set the alarm w/the remote. It may not be completely "water tight". I haven't opened mine to change the batteries yet, so I don't know about that.
I love this alarm so much I bought a second one for my wife's bike. It is extremely loud. Extremely. It went off while I was in a store and I could hear it. It has a bunch of different settings for the sensitivity which is a big plus, but I was really happy with the setting it was on when I got it. It will only go off if someone touches the bike. You can stand next to it, walk by it or have cars drive by and nothing sets it off until someone touches the bike. A light tap with one finger and the warning alarm will go off and if it is touched again within 30 seconds the full alarm will go off and it will get people's attention, not like a car alarm that everyone is numb to and just ignores, this will get your attention and get everyone anywhere near it attention too.
The only improvements I would like to see with it is 1. Make it smaller. It is pretty small but it is really not small enough to fit under a seat, which is where I wanted it to go, but the seat post blocks it from fitting under there. I installed mine on the seat tube bottom where it meets the bottom bracket. 2. Design a better way to attach it. The double-sided tape is nice to keep it from moving around and the zip ties (2) will keep it from being removed, but can be easily cut off and then you could remove the alarm. Some kind of bracket that fits around the tube or under the seat with screws locking it place would be great.
If it was small enough to mount under the seat and had a better way of attaching it to the bike, it would be perfect, but even these two things won't make me remove a star from my rating. This is better than 5 stars without a doubt.
This is a LOT EASIER to use than their instructions would lead you to believe. Just make sure there are batteries in it THEN: To ACTIVATE the device (you only have to do this ONCE after inserting new batteries) just hold down the big round button with the "closed lock" etching. Keep holding it down. It will barf out some tones three times (keep holding it down) then it will barf out one more tone. It is ACTIVATED and ready to use. I did not change any of the factory settings. Go ahead and touch the alarm unit. It will do a quick barf at you then silence. Touch it again and it goes nuts, running through ALL of the different sounds (which I prefer because one steady tone gets ignored by people, this one gets more and more desperate sounding as it runs through the different tones). To make it stop press the key that has the unlocked lock etching just once and it stops pewking. Now when you want to use the alarm you only have to press the round button once. It will pewk twice then beep once and the alarm is armed. To turn it off just press the "unlocked lock key once. It will pewk at you once. To save your batteries when you don't need the alarm on, press the unlocked lock key and hold it like you did the big round button during ACTIVATION., it will pewk at you twice, KEEP HOLDING IT DOWN, the blue light will go off then come on again. It is now in "sleep mode" saving your batteries (the batteries can sit there as long as 2 years).
