These are incredible for the price! Here is a quick rundown.
Comfort (4/5): Not the best, but they are not the worst by any means. They fit around the ear, not on top. The cushioning is all right and gets the job done but the headband is very very comfortable. Stretch it out gently to make sure it doesn't hug your head too tight during the first week of use. After the initial set in, they become more comfortable.
Construction (4.5/5): For $20 you get a mixture of hard plastic, soft-touch plastic, and metal. The materials blend together nicely and it does not look tacky or cheap. Remember, they are $20.
Sound (4.5/5): For $20 you get a very well rounded package that surprised me. The highs are not too articulate but they are serviceable. The lows are not overpowering but make any game sound "big". The mids are where these headphones shine. After a month of burn-in, the sound quality has improved and not only become warmer but more articulate in the high-mids. The stereo panning is very good as well!
Mic (5/5): This thing is beyond good for the price. My in-game chat is way more clear and all my friends noticed the change off the bat. You can move it very easily as well.
Overall (4.5/5): For $20, these cannot be beaten. From the impressive sound to the nice build materials, these headphones are light on the wallet but perform admirably. If they ever broke, I would buy them again. If you take care of them, they will not break. So just take care of them.
I didn’t really know what to expect from a 20 dollar headset… but seriously, I love this headset! Ive been using it for a little over a week as of this review. The sound is bright and full, it took me into the world I was playing in, with surround sound that I didn’t expect.
The microphone sounds great, You can be the judge of the mic by watching/listening to the voiceover in the video version of this review... because I used the headset mic while editing the video. I like how the mic arm is flexible making it easy to adjust. The remote on the cable has an on off switch for the mic and a volume control for the headphones.
The padding around the ears and for the top of your head truly is comfortable, and the padding reduces noise going on around you in the real world. The lights on the outside of the headset come on when the usb cable is pluged in to a power source.
For 20 bucks, this headset is a steal! I highly recommend this headset!
So, I was in the market for a new Xbox One headset. One that "just worked".
I was expecting to pay between $50-100. But while researching them, I decided to sort on Amazon by best rated and these came up. I had never heard of Run Mus before, but I will definitely be searching them out again. The build quality is good. You get a combination of plastics that make these both light (good for long term gaming) and durable.
The comfort on these is insane. I can't believe how long I can play in them without having my head or ears get tired. The cups fit over your ears so that they are inside of it and they are vented nicely so that they don't get sweaty (a problem I had before with another pair I was using).
The mic hasn't been an issue, I've been playing Battlefield V on my Xbox One X with no major issues. My squadmates said I sounded good if not better than my last pair.
The look of them is cool as well, they fit on my head nicely (they were a little tight to start, but I literally just put them on the box for a couple hours - stretched out to fit it when looking at it normally and they are now less tight and don't give me a headache. They fit with my glasses and don't push on them as well (I have a pretty big head).
Overall, I'm super happy with these headphones. If they break, I'm going to buy another pair. Even if they break 4 times they will be just around the cost of the "big name" brands. And I'm okay with that. But, I take care of my headphones and I have a feeling I'm going to be using these for a while.
I'm just a simpleton, I don't like spending a ton of money on any simple purchase such as headphones. So unless it's a pair of headphones created by the hands of God himself, I don't want to spend much money. From my experience, with enough research one can buy a quality item on a budget price. This is one of those.
I listen to ALL types of music, from Robert Johnson, to Garth Brooks, to Five Finger Death Punch; and I can honestly say in terms of Audio, I was actually pretty surprised at the quality of sound these headphones output. Good full range tones, great mids and highs for your Delta Blues and Country, great full range for your metal, and great bass for your hip hop. I would recommend this product to friends based soley on audio quality alone.
Additionally, I work from home and require a headset 8-10 hours per day to communicate with clients. This headset comes with a built in mic that yields great audio capture capabilities. I do some streaming on the side and I've found I need to make no adjustments in OBS to ensure I'm clearly heard. I'd recommend this product to fellow streamers.
This headset is all around a good buy for the money. I can honestly say there are no cons about the product itself; if there was a gripe, it would be that my ears tend to sweat, but that's not a product flaw, just a disadvantage of using a headset VS studio speakers. Get over it.
5/5 stars.
Edit: Some months have passed and I still use this headset daily for both work and play. Audio quality has held up even through several metal head sessions at VLC 150%+, if you don't know what VLC is, you're probably too old to be buying a headset ;).
Additionally, this company bribes for 5 star reviews by offering a perdition mouse with screenshot of review. I never cashed in because I already had a better quality perdition that one of my long time viewers gifted me when I first started streaming.
This review is genuine, and based solely on my personal long term use of the product itself. Personally, shame on the manufacturers for bribing for reviews, let the product speak for itself.
I bought this gaming headset for my 11 year old son. He loves it because its "a real gaming headset". He says it sounds great. He and his friends can hear each other perfectly. The only complaint he has is that it's a little heavy and bulky for his head. And the setup was a bit annoying. But once we got through it, he was ready to rock. I would recommend this to others for sure.

I have been using my previous headset for five years. I was not planning on purchasing a new headset at such a low price point because I wanted my new headset to last another five years. HOWEVER, the reviews on this headset sold me and I figured it would be worth giving it a shot.
Now, this is mostly preliminary because I've barely used it for a week. I have used it on all of my devices; PC, PS4, phone, iPod, even the TV itself. It has performed on all devices as advertised.
Mine did arrive with small instructions to inform you how to use it, specifically, for different devices. I think I saw some reviews say that they did not receive such material, so it looks like that has been straightened out.
The audio range is great and it has good bass. My crew say that they can hear me clearer than ever with the mic. The braided cable is very strong and resists tangling. All around, so far, this headset is dope and I highly recommend it.
features that I would like to see added in the next model would be for the volume and mute controls to be on the headset itself and not in-line of the cable. This isn't necessary at all, but a quality of life feature. Also, I would love to see a retractable mic, since these can be used as headphones for music on my phone. It looks silly to be on the bus listening to music with a gaming mic hanging in front of your face, hahaha.
These headphones deserve all the praise they are getting in reviews. My main issue with gaming headphones on Amazon is comfort, but this pair feels amazing. Even though it is cheap, it feels and looks very expensive. The packaging was amazing and the splitter/usb even came with protective cases. The logo looks professional and the headphones feels amazing. This works perfectly for gaming for a long time. Also, my old pair of headphones were uncomfortable and made my ears sweat a lot when I gamed for a long time. Here, it is different, my ears feel cool in these headphones. The mic sounds great and the package in which the headphone lies was designed nicely. Also, you get a free gaming mouse from this company with a review. Everyone should buy this, it has so much value for a cheap product.
-Audio: I'm not really that good at discerning the quality of sound but I can say I'm satisfied with this one as it is strong and clear. I have to make a great effort to listen to anything happening outside the headset while I'm using them.
-Mic: This was a really important aspect when I chose this headset, as it comes with it's own windscreen for the mic, not having to worry about the awful sounds most makes make when wind blows on it, saving other's eardrums from that suffering. About the quality of the mic itself, it's great; clear, strong enough and I haven't tested the noise cancelling to much, but I was able to use them with a fan on my face and hearing almost nothing.
-Cable: I'm happy about the length, not sure about the material (cloth) as I am no expert and cables are some of the parts that fail first, even more if the cable teleports into your mouth.
-LED: If you aren't going to use it for PC (or anything that haves both the jack and an USB port close to each other) you probably won't use it, as the energy for the LED comes from the USB. So if anyone only wants it for the LED (which shouldn't be the case) and isn't using PC you probably won't like it.
-Sturdiness: Again, I'm not expert in this, but it looks sturdy enough, at least not to break as easily because the outside may be made mostly of hard plastic, but seems complemented with some metallic parts inside the headband.
-Comodity: Uncomfortable at first, but they accomodate with time to the user's head, and the positions of the speakers can be adjusted so they are still a great choice on this part.
Honestly, for this quality I would expect this to be more expensive, for this price I don't know what could be better. I will have to see their durability as I keep using them but I think it has already surpassed my expectations.
The RunMus K8 Gaming Headset has a very cool design that I immediately liked, and I haven't seen anywhere else on the market. The angles and coloring remind me of the Logitech aesthetic in some ways--which is a plus for me personally. The headset is also incredibly lightweight but sturdy (it's built solid), and it felt very comfortable wearing for extended periods of time. The headband is flexible with rubberized plastic reinforcement, and foam padding along the top for added comfort. The over-the-ear design is pretty good, and the headband length/size is nicely adjustable. I liked the chrome finish, with the brushed aluminum banding underneath it; I felt that this gave it a very polished and professional look.
One of the cool design features is the illuminated RunMus symbol on both ear cups. I thought the iridescent blue looked really cool, and it matched my blue setup that I have with my RGB keyboard/mouse for my PC. Also the "R" matched my last name, so that was a neat coincidence. Turning on/off the headset lights is easy with using the USB plug. The lighting isn't adjustable (that I found) though, so it can be quite bright at night. I found that the Microphone Mute Switch, which is spliced in-line with the audio cord, seemed to turn the lights on/off. That part might be a design oversight, but I liked it.
The foam padding on the ear cups is very comfortable, and I felt that they blocked out some ambient noise. The headset clam-shells on both sides of my head very tightly, and it's a secure fit. While the tight fit wasn't too uncomfortable, it did press against the sides of my glasses pretty strongly; This caused me some very mild discomfort, but it's nothing I'm not already accustomed to with wearing glasses and gaming headsets.
The headset has a nice build quality build too. I liked that the audio connections and the cable is cloth braided. I see this design choice used in a lot of high end and more costly headsets. I feel that braided cables add a nice level of protection from any wear and tear, especially over time of continued/frequent use. I have this same design on my keyboard/mouse, and I think it makes a difference. The microphone is very flexible and adjustable too. I was able to stow it to the side (or upright), and bring it back within range very easily when I needed to chat; The metal flex tubing on the mic is very tight, and it keep everything in place or stowed.
The included universal instructions were straight forward. They were easy to follow and simple to read diagrams for connecting to various devices. My PC and PS4 required me to alter some device Settings, but it's quite easy to figure out on your own; I expected this, as I use various headsets/speakers for all of my gaming devices all of the time depending on my needs. The headset is plug-and-play, and it was compatible with everything that I connected it to: PC, PS4, XB1, Switch and 3DS.
Sound quality is very impressive. Considering the price point of the headset, I thought everything sounded very well. This probably has a lot to do with the headset using 50mm magnets, instead of the cheaper 40mm used in other brands. Listening to music, movies, and games sounded surprisingly good. I really liked that I could hear a wide range of audio very crisply and clearly. Treble, Mid-range, and Bass sounded good.
Overall I really like this gaming headset. My favorite parts, aside from the affordable price, was how compatible it is with so many other gaming devices! Seriously. I also really liked it's light-weight ergonomic design, and the impressive sound response of the speakers. I don't understand why more multi-platform / multi-device headset brands don't exist, after using the RunMus? It seems clear to me that RunMus understands this quality. I no longer need a specific PS4 or XB1 gaming headset, when I can just use the RunMus instead. I also really liked that there's a Volume Control and Microphone Mute switch that allowed me to adjust everything very conveniently; I wish more brands had this design choice.
RunMus has a serious gaming headset that delivered good sound performance and quality. I'd definitely recommend this headset to my friends and family, and for any gamers on a budget as well. Two thumbs up!
(Please note that I received this headset for free from the manufacturer for review without any requirement to do so. I have no connection at all to either the company or the distributor of this item.)
I bought these headphones unsure of how the price to quality balancing would be. The advertising on the store page seemed a little off but, I was willing to trust it and after seeing other positive reviews with customers with great experiences, I decided to place my $30 in and see how it would be.
The headset has one cable that splits off into two and then three ends, one USB for the lights on the sides (which yes, the sides of the headphones where the lights come from are indeed metal) and standard audio and microphone jacks. The headphones themselves are extremely comfortable, with soft foam on the inside and the cuffs being almost as soft as a track jacket on your ears, so my ears have stayed protected and have not been hurt after extensive hours of usage at decent volumes.
The flexible microphone bends with a thick metal wire-frame piece, protecting the internals while remaining flexible. If you prefer your microphone on the right side, unfortunately this is a one-sided microphone for the left side only. This does not impact me. The mic itself is protected with a very thick "pop filter" that does keep many audible popping quieted and overall improved my calls and gaming experience using Discord as my friends weren't able to hear any of the popping.
The headset is adjustable and fits to many sizes, and the main wire leads to a small switch box with a simple volume dial and a mute switch. Conveniently it also has a clip in case you're wanting to clip it to a coat or shirt. The headphone and microphone cables aren't permanently attached, rather adapted with one of the plugs that splits off to the USB. This allows you to use this with a device with only one 3.5mm jack. I'm unsure of this allows the microphone to function when its only as one, but it has 3 rings meaning it has the support for it so, take that as you will.
Overall this was a surprising experience and I'm happy to have bought this headset. The headphones came bubble-rapped in the box and the cable ends were protected fairly well. Besides a support manual, a Thank You card came packaged with a gift token that needed a review sent to the email to receive a free wired gaming mouse so, I have high hopes that once I've sent this, their mouse will hold the same quality.
