I have been a Monster drinker for going on 7 Year’s now.. I used to love the orange Sunrise Ultra, until I tried these purple ones!! Nothing is as delicious as these!!!!! I love them!
Edit: It is so frustrating to see the price fluctuate so much! I can’t keep it on subscribe & save, because it’s too expensive. I’ve gotta watch the price. Sometimes it’s $32-$36, And others it’s $42-$47! I used to get the cases for $32 at Sam s club, but I prefer Amazon prime.
Just please bring back the good pricing!
I used to be a loyal orange Monster drinker....until I tried this flavor! It's grape flavored and I love it!! :) As an aside... I drink mimosas on the weekends a lot, and used to mix the Orange Monster with my champagne instead of orange juice. When I bought a case of these instead of orange, I decided to try THEM with champagne. Try it, if you like mimosas...it's amazeballs.
I really like this flavor of monster. I am giving it a 4 almost 5-star rating because the purple flavor does taste like grape drink/candy/etc. but it does have a slight and I mean very little minor slight fake grape taste. I still like these and will probably purchase them again in the future. But I would choose the Ultra Sunrise over this flavor and maybe the blue and red flavors over this one too.
*If you love grape lollipops, grape soda, and other grape flavored sweets, then I would think that you probably will like this too.
This is one of my favorite flavors of Monster. Being unable to drink sugared drinks, finding a solid flavor in a sugar free beverage, not to mention being from my favorite energy drink line, it was wonderful for me. I buy so much of this stuff that I put it on Subscribe & Save, which is by far one of the best things about the case. Being able to get a 15% discount on it when you buy it is no joke!
It's a crisp grape flavor with a definite citrus twist; carries a tart grape soda kind of flavor, but not overly sweet in my opinion. Essentially a grape soda without the heavy syrup type flavor you get sometimes. Doesn't hurt that it's my favorite color as well. Has a good bubble to it while still having a relatively smooth drinking experience. I also love the can's artwork.
The biggest downside to buying cases is the fact that they are so heavy and cumbersome that when they are being delivered, they don't get the gentlest of care. I've had cases show up to my house with 1/3 of the cans broken open or seriously soiled. However, it's usually not an issue at all, as I can request a replacement for the item without a hassle. Most of the time, they come through without an issue.
Otherwise, the availability of low-cost energy drinks in my favorite flavors is fantastic.
I love Monster Energy Drinks, you'll usually see me with either a Low Carb, or Absolutely Zero, or Zero Ultra (being one of my favorites). I've tried the Ultra Black, Ultra Red, Blue and Orange and they were all pretty good. Black probably being my least favorite. I hadn't tried Ultra Violet before and saw a decent deal for it on Amazon so I jumped. What a home run in the flavor department! This has got to be one of the top 2 or 3 flavors for me. I usually drink one of these around 2 or 3 in the afternoon for that boost, sometimes, though less frequent, in the morning for the pick me up and Monster always delivers there. Good energy, great taste! Like grape soda flavor! If I can find deals, this will be my got to drink because price is the only thing I'd hit on as a disappointment. It's hard to justify 2 dollars a can!

This is probably my favorite Absolutely Zero flavor. I'm not the biggest fan of coffee and I've been trying to conserve calories and eat healthier, so I wanted to find something that was low calorie and I could drink on days I wasn't in the mood for coffee. Flavor is amazing, it satisfies my craving for soda, and most of all, it hasn't slowed down my weight loss process.
If you love Monster Energy Sugar Free beverages I would definitely say give grape a try. Perhaps buy one at the store and try it before ordering an entire flat here. But I tried it and even though I think it's a little on the sweet side, I think grape is great!
I'm not a big caffeine drinker, so I don't need a lot to get the job done. However, I do enjoy the taste of the purple monster (Ultra Violet) and it packs quite a punch. It's a must have on road trips as far as I'm concerned. The taste is somewhat like grape soda, though not as strong or sweet, so if you like that, you'll like this. I also like this one because there is no sugar, so you're not drinking your way towards diabetes like with the sugar filled ones. Lastly, the best part is the Taurine and L-Carnitine, which are pretty common in most energy drinks. These two elements help your body absorb and breakdown protein which delivers energy through a more natural process than just pumping you full of caffeine.
Pretty decent and the price at the time of purchase was very good. It has a grape taste to it and I add a couple tablespoons of Apple Cider vinegar to mine and that makes an interesting drink. I drink it through the afternoon and it helps me avoid that crash I normally get after eating.
For some reason its "cap" is not the same color as its sides, but silver, unlike other "Ultra" varieties. The caps can also be a bit dirty. And it's more expensive than ultra zero, sunrise, blue and black on amazon. But it's purple
