I was so nervous about buying this online since it was a Mother's Day gift for my mother in law's boat. We installed it on the boat as a surprise and it fit perfectly. Even their old water proof cover fit as well. The hookup in the back was different so we had to do some wiring but it turned out perfect. They are so happy with the quality!
I probably need to read the manual in more depth. This is installed on my boat and I didn't want it tied to the ignition switch. Negatives involve getting multiple phones to switch back and forth. Yes - this may be because I've not read the manual. However, this is consumer electronics. Why should I have to read a manual ;-)
Otherwise, this exceeds my expectations.
Purchased it to replace a old cd unit by jvc(everything still works besides the screen). It’s very light and smaller compared to the old unit I had. My old unit had a plastic tape cover for the top of the unit to protect it from water, this didn’t. It would’ve been nice if it came with a remote. It’s a very basic blue tooth unit with am/fm, the pandora feature on the unit sucks bc you can’t control pandora on your phone once the unit is set to pandora. The reason I got this is because of price and jvc has been reliable compared to some other units I owned in the past. Hopefully this one will last as long as the old one
