Himalayan Pink Salt Grass-Fed Ghee Butter by 4th & Heart, 9 Ounce, Pasture Raised, Non-GMO, Lactose Free, Certified Paleo, Keto-Friendly

This ghee is absolutely delicious and hands down my favorite brand above all others! The taste of the himalayan pink salt in this is subtle and adds the appropriate amount of flavor without being overpowering. I love this flavor and the Madagascar Vanilla Bean the most! At this point I pretty much consider both to be "must have's" in my pantry! I love the fact that it's available on Autoship as well saving that extra 15% really helps! Give it a try..... you'll probably REALLY like it!

This ghee is delicious and has kept well at room temperature on my counter. I am new to using ghee but I read that you don't need to refrigerate ghee as long as you are careful not to get any water in it. So whenever I use it for a recipe, I always make sure my measuring spoons are very, very dry. if I've just washed my measuring spoons, I will dry them with the dish towel or a paper towel until there isn't one bit of moisture left on them. Adds great flavor and since ghee has a higher burn point, you can use it in a lot of applications where you would not be able to use butter. The only downside is that it is rather expensive for such a small amount but I can't ding them for that. Have you seen the price of just regular butter in the grocery stores lately? Everything's high now so in the end you just have to use sparingly and be willing to pay the price to have high quality foods to put in your body or you just have to be willing to take the time to make your own ghee which can be time-consuming if you're a busy person. maybe one day I'll break down and do it myself and stand there over a stove and meticulously spoon out all the butter solids from the melted butter until every last crumb of it is gone, but for now I would rather just buy it! Cooking my own food and doing meal prep for a week's worth of food is hard enough without having to prep the staple items as well as the fresh ingredients.

I've never tried Ghee for some reason though I have been around it via other peoples kitchens. I lean toward dairy-free in all aspects of my diet and recently realized that the one buttery-type spread I enjoy the taste of cannot be heated w/out breaking down the integrity of the ingredients. That is likely why I was having headaches triggered at times I used in my stove-top cooking process to grease the pan, etc.

This Ghee tastes amazing, it really is a flavor like butter but WOW, better than butter! And it can be used at heated temps. There is no going back for me now. Plus it need not be refrigerated.

Thumbs-up! This really is a phenomenal, seemingly good quality product that the taste-buds can savor and enjoy in ecstatic bliss.

Thank you 4th Heart, well done.

I have tried several brands of ghee over the years, and this one is the best! It tastes exactly like the ghee that my grandmother used to make in India. It's light, smooth and flavorful.

I also like that this is lactose-free. A lot of the ghee brands in the Indian stores have added milk-fat!

Okay so far I've only utilized it twice and its been for this delicious new recipe I was trying out and let's just say I was left very satisfied! Before all of this I didn't even know that "ghee" AKA clarified butter even existed? But now I am thoroughly educated and have no regrets. Melting it over the stove in a pan just creates this tantalizing aroma that is pleasing to the senses and as soon as I started cooking with it I was certain I had received great quality stuff. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of 5 is because of the price. It seemed a little too much for how big the jar is. Prior to buying this from here I had gone to my local grocery twice in two unsuccessful attempts to buy ghee from there and I wasn't able to locate it - even the sales people there looked at me as if I had made up an ingredient. Anyway so it left me no choice to just buy it online until I could find alternative. I'm not saying the quality isn't worth the price though - perhaps it is, but I'm not butter/ingredient expert anyway.

But if you absolutely have to spend the money then just leap in - at least you won't be disenchanted by the quality.

Description

Fourth and Heart's grass-fed ghee is very lightly salted and gently whipped to add flavor to just about anything. Ghee is a type of clarified butter that is heated, reduced & triple-filtered out and what you’re left with is the pure healthy fat, which is lactose free & dairy free, good for digestion and metabolism. It is an iconic ingredient and food staple with a history as rich as its taste. It originates in India and is used extensively in cooking and to promote health. Ghee alone is an excellent alternative to butter for those who are lactose intolerant and who want the taste of butter, without the disadvantages of processed margarines. Unlike other oils it is rich in butyric acid, a short chain fatty acid that is great for your overall health and digestion. Ghee’s buttery taste and high smoke point (485 degrees) makes it an excellent addition to your everyday cooking oils, is extremely easy to cook with and delicious simply spread on a piece of toast. Fourth & Heart grass-fed ghee uses the highest quality grass-fed butter sourced from a cooperative of farms in New Zealand. Grass is naturally high in Vitamin A, D, E, K and CLA. When the cow’s milk is rich with these vitamins it goes directly to the butter and therefor the ghee. Replace your everyday butter & oil with 100% Grass-Fed Pure Spreadable Butter. Please note: ghee naturally melts at approximately 90-degrees farenheit, which can occur during transit and delivery. This is perfectly normal and will not damage the ghee, which will resolidify if left at room temperature or refrigerated for 2-3 hours. My highly anticipated jar of 4th & Heart's Himalayan Pink Salt Grass-Fed Ghee Butter arrived yesterday afternoon. With just one little taste of it on the edge of a plastic knife, I knew my culinary life was going to be pleasantly changed henceforth. I'm now on a two-fold quest: 1) to discover/invent ways I can use this incredible grass-fed ghee in my food, beverages and possibly even for additional uses (i.e., cosmetically, medicinally, etc.); 2) to try other products by 4th & Heart; case in point: arriving in a few days is its Chocti Chocolate Coffee Ghee ... I only wish I'd discovered this wonderful company and its top-shelf products many years ago!

I got the Himalayan salt flavored ghee. It is amazingly delicious. This stuff has a strong buttery, caramel taste that is so good in so many things. It works really well in my cast iron skillet. Before this I tried Purity Farms Ghee because that is the only brand our local store carried. The Purity Farms ghee was so disgusting that I thought all ghee must be kind of gross. Nope. Taste must be related to quality. I love this stuff and will definitely be ordering more and trying some of the other flavors they offer. Vanilla bean is definitely on my "want to try it" list.

I found the 4th & Heart grass fed ghee when I read grass fed ghee was recommended as a substitute for butter while on a candida free diet. The lactose in butter turns into sugar, so it must be avoided. The fact that it is grass fed raises the fatty acids, and fatty acids help kill candida albicans. I use the Himalayan Pink Salt flavor on vegetables, like broccoli and cauliflower. We can normally eat vegetables with no butter at all, but when you're eating a restrictive diet, it's nice to add some flavor whenever possible. And we get an extra boost with the fatty acids for snuffing out the candida, and hopefully a little metabolism boosting as well. Yes, it's more expensive than butter, but it seems anything that is healthier for you costs more.

I am a Sri Lankan / American and have grown up always knowing what Ghee is, but never did I understand it or enjoy it like I am now with Fourth & Heart Ghee Butters. Whether it is spread lovingly on a piece of toast or used as a sautée base in my most involved curry dish, the flavor is undeniable. Fourth & Heart manages to achieve a fluffy, creamy, consistency that makes it a pleasure to cook with and spread on just about anything. A few of my favorites (and always hits with the kids) have been home popped popcorn with fresh rosemary, sea salt, and california garlic ghee. Tuna melts made with himalayan salt ghee. And finally, the all time fave, pancakes made with the madagascar vanilla ghee. Highly recommend the whole line up on your kitchen shelf!

I love Ghee due to its taste and nutritional significance.
Ayurveda has been recommending Ghee as essential part of diet but it went out of use after flawed research published in 70’s recommending use of vegetable fat over Ghee as it was thought to better for heart and atherosclerosis.

We now after full circle in research Ghee back on healthy fat list

This Ghee taste amazing and possibly due to its organic nature.
Add amazing Flavour to cooked food and increase satiety and eventually encourage health eating with smaller portions

Highly recommend
