If you buy it directly from Amazon you'll definitely get a real Apple product.
- Does exactly what it's built to do
- Good, fast charge on the Macbook
- Sturdy material
- Good length. Not super short but not super long either. For me, it's actually perfect
It's a charging/USB-C cable. There's really not much you can say about it.
I needed a decent, fairly cheap replacement charge cable for my MacBook Pro. This did the trick! While I wish it came in longer lengths, it's virtually the same as the one that came with my laptop in November. It charges the laptop quickly. The price is a little high for what I think it deserves, but welcome to the industry...this isn't too bad and is as good as the one that comes in the box.
The cable arrived exactly as expected. I use it to charge my 12" Macbook and have no issues so far. Smells like a genuine Apple product, too :).
Came in fast and looks to be real Apple product. Just research what cable you need, will not work on standard iPhone. Type c end not lightning. I peeled back label to see if it has correct writing on it.

This 2-meter charge cable — with USB-C connectors on both ends — is ideal for charging USB-C devices, and also supports USB 2 for syncing and data transfer between USB-C devices. To conveniently charge your MacBook or MacBook Pro from a wall outlet, pair the USB-C Charge Cable with a compatible USB-C power adapter.** USB-C power adapters sold separately. Apple recommends pairing MacBook with USB-C port with the 29W USB-C Power Adapter, 13-inch MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports with the 61W USB-C Power Adapter, and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports with the 87W USB-C Power Adapter.
Get the ones sold by Amazon directly, They only sell Genuine Cable from Apple. Theres no need to worry about fake cables when you buy them from amazon.
Apple makes some pretty good cables. But with all Apple cables they do have a built in wear and tear limit that makes you have to replace them every so often depending on use and how rough you are with them. For the heavy travelers and users you can expect to replace this cable at least once a year.
The good news is, Apple does have a one year warranty on the cables so if it isn't working as it should be they will take care of replacing it in a store.
Yeah, it's overpriced... but it's pretty durable, matches the charger, and it just works. Sometimes you need a spare, one for an extra, or a replacement for a broken one... this is it.
Buy the real Apple brand cable, I tried a cheaper one at first and it would not keep up with the power drain my iPad pro placed on the 29 watt Apple charger.
Good looking cable for sure. I was able to use it after it was delivered to my office. I would definitely buy it again if I hadn't already purchased one. I don't need two so I only have one and it works!
Seems these are the only ones that work. I tried the new kind but they quit. These bust at the connection but still last much longer.
