AmazonBasics AZ350001B 3.5mm Male to Male Stereo Audio Aux Cable - 4 Feet (1.2 Meters)

AmazonBasics AZ350001B 3.5mm Male to Male Stereo Audio Aux Cable - 4 Feet (1.2 Meters)

I bought this aux cable to use with my Samsung Galaxy S9 and my aftermarket car stereo.

After initial, careful opening of the cardboard box, I found the the cable neatly coiled in a circle with two lightly wrapped twist ties inside an unsealed plastic bag. The cord itself seems fine enough, but I could immediately tell it is very inexpensive material, which is fine, remember this cable was $5.00. The connectors looked and felt very nice for what they were and should get the light-duty job done for me. The connectors fit appropriately well into my devices.

I think the sound quality is fine and I have not had to spin the connectors around while music is play. Granted, I am not a good sound quality tester as the speakers the music is playing through are 18 years old. Still kicking!

This six foot cable worked perfectly and is well made, but it was too short, and instead of doing the right thing and exchanging it for a longer one I strung it between the computer and the TV, letting it hang a few feet above the floor. I now have a ten foot cable that lies on the floor, so I'm just copying the party of the review of that cable that talks about what happened when I tripped heavily over the too-small one:

"The AmazonBasics cable is very sturdy, but I did manage to break the first one I bought because at 6 feet it was too short to lie on the floor, making it inevitable that I would eventually trip over it. Frankly I was happy that the displayport plug on the 6 foot cable broke off instead of knocking the computer to the floor. Fortunately the 10 foot cable lies on the floor, and now I'm a happy little camper. I have several other AmazonBasics cables which have never given me any trouble, so I'm confident that this is the last cable I'll need."

As you can see I consider it a feature, not a bug, that the mini displayport plug broke off instead of crashing my computer to the floor after I blundered heavily into it. You may prefer that your cables survive your equipment, but that's up to you...

I purchased this cable 3 months ago.
I was looking for a cheap cable for my wife to connect her phone to a speaker.

Pros:'
- No interference, no hissing (even when twisting the cable)
- Sturdy
- Doesn't look cheap

Cons:
- The silver barrel of the plug terminal casing feels like plastic.

Note:
- Standard 3-pole cable (3-pole = 2 black bars; a 4-pole cable would have 3 black bars). This means that there is a channel for the Right audio, Left audio, and the ground. No other data can be transmitted (e.g: microphone).
- I purchased the 2 feet (0.6 meters). Think twice before ordering this length; this is short!

Given the price, I would recommend this cable to anybody looking for a basic product, yet of good manufacture.'

Nice looking cable but mine ruptured at the contact barrel after 4 months. See photo for details. Maybe they're not meant for Florida heat?

To their credit Amazon customer service immediately overnighted me another cable with no questions asked. I'll use this one indoors.

Great AmazonBasics 3.5mm two-foot cable for five bucks. Got this for connecting from the earphone jack on my iphone to the aux jack in my car. What is nice about the plugs for this cable is that they each can fit in the hole on the case/bumper going to snuggly insert all the way into the earphone jack on my iphone. my OTHER old 3.5mm cable barely makes it in and as a result loses connection once in a while. But the plug for this new perfect AmazonBasics 3.5mm cable fits nicely in the hole in the case/bumper going to the jack on my iphone. Highly recommended getting this 3.5mm cable.

Description

3.5mm male-to-male stereo audio cable

I wanted to take better advantage of all the inputs and outputs on my computer's sound card. I especially wanted to be able to hook-up a 5.1 surround system using some random speakers and small amps. These cords fit the bill perfectly. They're long enough to reach from behind my PC to where they need to terminate, and they're small and flexible enough to be easy to work with without seeming fragile. I was hesitant to get a box of 10 cables but I'm glad I did because after a few weeks, I realized I pretty-much needed all of them. Way to go Amazon for making these available at a great price!

I've purchased several Amazon Basics cords, organizers, bags and cases and have been pleased with all of them. I use this cord to plug my phone into a small desktop guitar amplifier/speaker system (Yamaha THR 10), and it has a nice solid feel and doesn't crackle or pop like some other inexpensive cords I've used. Whenever I need a cord or accessory now, I search "Amazon Basics" first to see if an option is offered for what I"m looking for. Great quality and very affordable pricing.

I bought this cable to replace one that I had for years, and was worried that it wouldn't stand up as well as the one I previously had. The construction feels fairly solid, but the cable itself is on the thin side. I've only had it for about a week and it's impressed me this far. I keep and aux cord in my car and with that it gets stepped on and pulled a lot by passengers. The last cable I had for 4 years and worked great until it someone stole it from my car. Either way, I'm sure this cable will be a suitable replacement. If anything changes I'll update.

Works just fine just like your higher priced aux cables. It looks good, the plugs are solid and it's been working well after 6 months of plug in & pull out every other week.

Only giving it 4 stars because the cable is kinda thin. It's not as thin as a cheap pair of ear bud headphones but thinner compared to other aux cables and I am concerned it might not hang in there with my energetic lifestyle. Handle it w/ TLC and you should do fine.

I still recommend it.

I have used this product for 5 months now. In an extreme environment (Afghanistan) this stereo cable and performed flawlessly. The male ends easily clip and lock into place. The braided line has not frayed and despite frequent movement of the cabling during use due to operational requirements, it has remained like new. I highly recommend this stereo cable.
