This is a very good product. I use it daily with my Alienware laptop.
PROS:
1. Frame is solid and the mesh that lets air through is made of sturdy metal. I assume it's aluminum because the entire unit is very light weight.
2. You can use the cooling pad flat, or tilted up at an angle by extending two retractable legs in the back. It provides very good cooling in both the flat and tilted mode.
3. There are 4 fans which are variable speed with two separate speed controllers. One controls the two left fans and the other controls the two right fans.
4. VERY quiet. I use both pairs of fans at full power and this unit is exceptionally quiet. If it wasn't for the blue light glow I wouldn't know they were on, especially if you have a TV or radio playing in the background, or any sound coming from your PC (music, videos, etc.)
5. It's stylish. Not just a rectangular slab. The design has interesting angles and the fans have a blue LED light glow when they are turned on.
CONS:
The only reason that this review got only 4 stars is because of the con listed below.
1. My laptop weights about 8.5 pounds. When the cooling bad is tilted the laptop (due to the weight and smooth surfaces) tends to slide downward and would slide off the pad. FORTUNATELY, the pad has two flip up "pins" that act to stop a laptop from sliding off (great idea). The problem is that because of the weight of my laptop those "pins" will often pop off of the unit. I have been able to pop them back in, but it is annoying to do so. It also makes me worried that if this happens when the laptop is unattended, the laptop could slide off and hit the floor. Therefore, when I leave the laptop I tilt the cooling pad down so it is in lying flat.
So, my only warning to any purchaser is that if you have a heavy laptop,be aware of this so that you don't end up damaging your computer. (By the way, I've been thinking of crazy gluing the pins in the open position to keep them from popping off. Of course that would leave two pegs sticking up when I'm trying to store it in my computer bag.)
OVERALL:A very good product that will adequately cool your laptop. I recommend this product with a 4-star rating.
Day 1 review - I really am happy I purchased this cooling pad. I'm a software developer and I'm pretty hard on my laptop - it's an I7 from System-76 and it normally runs hot. I run netdata to monitor services and am including a screenie that makes it pretty obvious at what point I put the laptop onto the cooling pad. So, yeah - 5-stars. Over a reasonable period of time, I'll make edits if necessary.
I have been using this so much yet forgot to review it! This product has actually saved the life of my computer. My last laptop was purchased used and poorly taken care of - the motherboard ended up with a melted crack in it and was destroyed. This pad, however, has kept my new laptop from ever heating up significantly. It has already saved me so much hassle. I have no concerns about overheating now!
Where do I begin? The cooling fan speed is adjustable, which is nice, depending upon if you're just doing a daily work task or if you're doing multiple things that cause heat to be generated in the computer's interior. Regardless of the speed, the sound of the fan is minimal. You'd never expect the amount of power it puts out based on the small whirring sound of the fan. Also, for me personally, I like a tiny bit of white noise - and this provides that. It'd never be enough to distract someone else unless they've got their ear up to it, but it is enough to make you focus on what you're doing on your computer. Very impressed by all that - my roommate's cooling pad is noisy.
It draws its power VIA USB - this can be plugged into the wall or the computer itself (which has proven to be highly efficient for library studying and bookstore writing, where only one plug-in is available for the laptop charger.) There is a second USB port on the back of the pad that can be used for charging also, which is highly useful if you have another device that needs power. The fans light up, which I have not found to either hinder or positively influence use; however, it is a great way to know if the fans should be on or not (mine have never failed).
I'm getting my roommate one for her birthday, because it works so well and makes much less noise. So very happy about this purchase. I've attached photos for reference - both with the kickstands up and down. I know it was important to me that I could use the cooling pad on my lap, so I've attached photos of my use with that (featuring my cat leggings).
Ive bought two of these, one late last year, and one just a few weeks back. I actually left my main one in the UK by accident HA! Anyway, it's waiting for me there when I return. I love this cooling pad, you can very much feel and see the differnce in my laptops performance. My laptop it an older Alienware, 17 inch of bulk! And it just fits on this cooling pad perfectly. I have having a lot of heating issues, for a gaming laptop, they did not give this sucker much room to vent heat. Even after cleaning the laptop really well, the core temp was through the roof, after just an hour or so of game time or run time, a touch to the top half of the laptop almost burnt your fingers. I no longer have that issue, thankfully, this pad was the greatest investment for me at the moment and the laptop is much happier to be cooler. I did learn from having the old Pad, that it does suck up dust or hair, I mean, they are fans, and that does get blown onto the bottom of your laptop. So I have cut some of my furnice filter pad to set on top to help keep the dust and hair out of the laptop, honestly I have cheesecloth now and might try that next, but the filter pad seems to work well in keeping the dust undercontrol and still lets a lot of airflow through. The angle of the cooling pad makes the laptop SOO much more comfy while in use, my wrist love the angle more for typing and it gives it a nice lift to my eye level on my desk. I caught myself hunching over a lot while typing and looking at the screen, but not anymore now that it is lifted and angled just perfectly.
I will admit, this is the third Cooling pad, the very first one I recived with a faulty fan. I got in touch with amazon, and it was a simple return and replace. The other two have work perfectly. You can adjust to only have 2 fans on, or all 4, you can also turn the lights off. I don't keep the USB power cord connected to my laptop, I use an extention cable and have it pluged into the wall USB adapter so it's less load for the laptop to worry about. that and im about out of free USB ports on the laptop anyway, HA!
Overall, I would happily buy this type again, it was a great price for an item that is keeping my old laptop cool, happy, and working better.
I have tried others and this is the first one that I can feel the fans blowing truly cool air. My laptop stays at a very good temp. Keeping an eye on the CPUID HW Monitor app the temp of my CPU has yet to touch 60C and that is playing some lower tiered games but with higher graphics. (I have an i5 8250u, 8GB new HP)
Of course, it will only cool what it can and if you push your laptop to try to do things it is not made to do then it won't work as efficiently.
Also, why stress the fans by keeping them on high speed the whole time? When surfing and just simple tasks turn the fans down, pay attention to the temps and adjust as needed.
I see some negative reviews and I have a feeling they either push their laptop too hard or run the fans excessively.
The ONLY negative for me is that the fan controls are in the back. The anti-skid support pieces work well for my 15" laptop. As for a 17" this maybe too small for it but the metal grid pretty much locks the laptop in place anyway.
Extremely well designed and useful, but again, a pain to set fan controls when they are in the back. Anyway, good luck and I truly hope this works as well for you as it does for me.

I have had four laptop coolers over the last 5 years and this is by far the most sturdy. It doesn't adjust like the others I had and that is why it works. It has two legs in the back that can be pulled out to elevate your laptop, and two arms in front that are high enough to stop it from sliding, and unless dropped I can't see how either could break, and most importantly, it keeps my laptop cool while I play my games. A simple design that makes sense.
The Tree New Bee cooling pad fits under my PS4 well and seems to do a good job of helping it run cool. I haven't exactly conducted my tests using the scientific method, but an IR thermometer seems to verify that it keeps the PS4 at least a few degrees cooler than without the cooling pad. As you can see in the photo, I've also placed a free-standing USB fan (AC Infinity MULTIFAN S3, Quiet 120mm USB Fan for Receiver DVR Playstation Xbox Computer Cabinet Cooling) in the rear of the unit which I plugged into the cooling pad's USB hub. My only criticism is that it could be seen by some as a bit noisy. I can't hear it over the sound of the TV though and I unplug it when the PS4 is not in use. If you have issues with an overheating PS4 or just want to keep it running cooler, the Tree New Bee cooling pad is a great choice and a good value.
I was not paid or compensated in any way for this review.
When lightening struck near my house, it blew out my DSL modem/router, which took about four days to replace and reconnect. That's when I discovered the internal fan in my laptop was also dead. And the same day, my cooling pad stopped working.
I needed to get up and running and didn't have time to put the laptop in the shop. So I did some quick research on Amazon and got this fan delivered fast. It's two weeks later. I still don't have an internal fan, but the laptop has stayed cool through my awful habits of 20 browser tabs open, multiple Word files in process, a dozen open emails most of the time, streaming radio, and a high-action Steam game open most of the time.
I work with my computer on my lap and I can feel the airflow through my jeans; it's really strong. And even in the midst of battling a horde of monsters or a boss enemy spaceship, it stay cool.
To give you the whole story, I should add that I also bought one of the Polar vacuum fans to make sure I didn't burn up my machine. And it too is a miracle worker pulling heat out of the fan vent. But once I get my internal fan replaced, this pad will be more than enough to keep my system cool.
Beyond that, it's study and comfortable, lightweight, and the USB power cable is much better than the one on my old fan, because the wire is wrapped in wrapped in thread to protect it.
I bought my son another one for his birthday. He's a more serious gamer than me (which means badder games with more heat generation), and he loves it. It's doesn't hurt that the blue lights are so cool either.
Highly recommended.
Ive had this cooling pad for about 2 months...Its been used everyday for 12 hours a day...Has 2 USB Ports, and 2 adjusting knobs for fan speed...It is not noisy...It can sit flat, or tilted on its legs as seen in the picture...Legs are sturdy...Im happy with it so far..
I have been looking for a cooling pad for my laptop for some time now, but haven't been able to really settle on on. I finally went with this one because of the price and the size.
When I received the item, I was surprised at how lightweight it is. the construction didn't appear as flimsy either, so I was pretty impressed right out of the box. To see how well it blew air I hooked it up to a phone charger and turned it on. It didn't move as much air as I thought it would, but the volume of air is spread out over a large area so although it doesn't seem very fast when in reality it is moving a large volume of air; and even tiny bits will help your laptop stay cooler because it keeps the laptop from sucking in the air it just circulated, thereby keeping your system cooler. Normally, the air comes out of the laptop exhaust ports and a portion of it will get sucked back through the ventilation system, causing undue heating. The blue lights are a nice and fun touch, but you really can't see them when you put the laptop on the cooling pad. I am using a 17 inch laptop with an expanded battery pack so it doesn't sit on the pad as well as it could due to the pack sticking out the bottom, but it still works very well.
Things I like:
1. Sturdy but lightweight construction
2. Four fans move a good amount of air
3. Very quiet operation
4. Adjustable fan speed
5. Runs off the laptop's power so no extra power packs or cords
6. Large enough for larger laptops
The only real dislike I have is that the blue lights suck some of the wattage away from the fans, but I also like shiny things so it's only a moderate dislike. Other than that, I love this thing.
As Louis Prima once sang, "I picked it up and I dusted it off and then I painted it blue, honest to goodness I'm telling you it looked as good as new!"
