I purchased this 5 pound Jolly Rancher Assortment Bag in preparation for my mother-in-law's 50th birthday party. I bought this bag with the intentions of making Jolly Rancher Vodka. The first thing I did was sort and count the colors/flavors in the bag. There were 384 total pieces in the 5 pound bag. There was a generous amount of the Watermelon flavor, but a very small amount of Blue Raspberry in comparison--something to note if you're looking for a specific amount of each flavor. Overall, there was as follows:
105 Watermelon (Pink)
88 Cherry (Red)
76 Apple (Green)
75 Grape (Plus 1 that was unwrapped) (Purple)
39 Blue Raspberry (Blue)
For those interested: Serving size is 3 pieces with 70 calories, 10 mg of sodium, 17 g total carbs and 11 g of sugar. Ingredients listed are: Corn Syrup, Sugar, Containing 2% or less of: Malic Acid, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Artificial Color (Red 40, Blue 1, Yellow 5, Yellow 6).
To make Jolly Rancher Vodka, I bought 4 bottles of 1 L 42 Below Vodka. I'd recommend any clear bottle of Vodka so guests can really enjoy the beautiful colors. First, I extracted 4 ounces from each 1 L bottle. I unwrapped 35 of each flavor (I only used the Watermelon, Cherry, Apple, and Blue Raspberry. If you're using Grape then obviously you need another bottle of Vodka.) and dropped them into their respective bottles. The dye from the candies almost immediately began to disperse, and he colors immensely deepened after 4 hours time. I let them sit overnight where the candies fully dissolved into the liquid. The pictures attached show before and after overnight steeping.
This bag met all my expectations and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I will be enjoying my leftover Jolly Rancher flavors for weeks to come!

I award 5 stars to products that exceed my expectations and that I would repurchase again at full price.
I award 4 stars to products that can be improved but overall work well and are up to par. These I would still repurchase at full price.
I award 3 stars to products that are mediocre and I would NOT repurchase at full price.
I award 2 stars to products that are underwhelming and definitely would NOT repurchase at full price.
I award 1 star to products that do not work correctly and should not be on the market.

381 total. Wish cherry was 89 or 96. Blue raspberry is the least favorite here but pleased with all.
I love Jolly Rancher candy. I bought these before from the top major superstore that starts with "W" and ends with a "T". When it was time to reorder them I decided to compare the price here on Amazon to what I had to pay before. Amazon was a full $5.00 cheaper. You can't go wrong with the price. I will continue to get them here in the future.
Update: After receiving a few more bags it seems they have fixed the problem where there would be nothing but watermelon flavor. Of course the flavors aren't perfectly even when counting but they are much better now.
I received a bag of mostly nothing but watermelon flavor. I separated them into sandwich size bags and filled two with watermelon while the rest only fit in one each. There was barely any grape, but good amount of cherry. But the rest of the flavors filled a bag a little over half way. I use these to make jolly rancher vodka but also just like to eat them. I don't really like to eat the watermelon but I do like it to use for drinks. Cherry is my favorite to eat but my least favorite to drink. I will be buying another bag once I run out. Hoping the watermelon issue is fixed.
It's been a lot of years since I bought these but always liked them. I suffer from dry mouth and it is getting more serious so I have to have options around to ease the discomfort. I put several varieties of hard candy into candy buckets and keep them within reach in frequently used areas. They are just as good as I remember when they first came out and just not quite as stick to your teeth as they once were which could get frustrating! Certainly will keep on my shopping list. Though 5 pounds of just one of the kinds of hard candy we like could last forever around here!

You walk in the store, you go to the candy section and you see jolly ranchers. All of a sudden, you get a craving for their deliciousness. Jolly ranchers have always been my favorite kind of hard candies. They are good for snacks, they taste good, and they last five or more minutes. They are good for parties, prizes, and when you are bored. No other hard candy that can beat jolly ranchers exists in the world! This has lasted me months but also made me gain a few pounds on me. This is so cheap that i could buy this again if I wanted to. I didn't even know they had a five pound bag, like what the heck is up with that? I'm not complaining but it's just crazy to think. Ten dollars for five pounds worth of jolly ranchers!
Let's be honest, is it really worth paying ten dollars for something that can affect your physical health? I know it tastes good but imagine how many calories five pounds worth of jolly ranchers is! Would you rather feel good for a few minutes while eating the candy or feel bad all the time because of your gained weight? I'm already fat, and fatter because of this product but doing it again would be a dumb idea. It's definitely not because I dislike this product, it's just that I don't need anymore extra weight on my already fattened body.

The unconstant #’s of each flavor is also unacceptable for anyone but me also.

I bought three bags. Tore them apart. One bag only had SIX. Only SIX out of hundreds of Jolly Ranchers being GREEN APPLE. Not going to lie, enjoyed them regardless. But each bag was severely lacking in Green Apple Flavors, and one bag had 150 Blue Raspberries. Not sure how they package them, but I accused several family members of Cherry-picking the Greenies, but apparently I got three bags with a lack of them. Woe is me.
But seriously, all the flavors are great, they were sealed accordingly, and great for melting down and making shapes out of. Or just eating.
